  • This is a little too controlled compared to Arthur Alexander's original version. Arthur is better.

  • This is the best of the time and still is best

  • Me and my girl , listening this incredible recording..... and DANCING!! THEY ARE GREAT.

  • john's voice so hot! his voice's so sexy.

  • i honestly still think as " a band" they are underrated….this BBC studf is really amazing

  • @zoooplantonic THANK YOU! Definitely fantastic stuff. I love the Anthology stuff, too. The Decca Tapes. Esher Demos. All the unreleased stuff is incredible!

  • thanks for posting. excellent record! when it got out I was FLIPPING!

  • <3 I love it!

  • los beatles los beatles los beatles!!!!!

  • dgdfgdf

  • great tune thanks for the post, and as mentioned orginal by Arthur Alexander (written by terry thompson) 1961, besides "Anna" also by the Beatles Arthur inspired the Rolling Stones "you better move on" and Dr Hook "sharing the night together" check him out here on youtube! This song also covered by The Guess Who 1965,and Johnny Kid and the Pirates 1962, anyone know the year this version was recorded?.

  • I love this version but you oughtta check out the one by the Liverpool Five...it'sbetter than fab and was recorded around the same time...it's on You Tube so you can make your own mind up as to why Brian Epstein kept them under wraps as long as he could......they had to come to the US to record...........

  • @MsLoosylou I too love that Liverpool Five version and also the one by Johnny Kidd.

  • <3

  • damn johns voice is so rich and raw

  • so an I it's nuts and I have two other friends who like them as well

  • @ambersalcove I'm not trying to be a dick , but how old are you?

it's sad that this generation listens to shit music...

  • so do I

  • their is a slight hint of the intro to twist and shout

  • I've got to get this album

  • Well, if your hands start a-clapping and your fingers start a-popping

And your feet start a-moving around

And if you start to swing and sway when the band start to play

A real cool and way-out sound

And if you get the Can't Help It, when you can't sit down

You feel like you gotta move around

  • The Liverpool Five's version is well worth checking on You Tube.

  • 8 idiots

  • He wrote Anna too.

  • My favorite

  • THE REAL R&B!

  • who was the performer pre beatles?

  • @juliandoe78 Arthur Alexander

  • @TheBeautyBailey

GAH! Lucky little child!! D: Take me with you!!

  • First class...Listening to this album you understand how good they were.

  • To jest piękne po prostu

  • wasn't this a hit for Jim Mclaine and the Stray Cats? lol

  • this song is kick ass.

  • The greatest band of the world that ever exist

  • i love The Beatles, for some reason this version pisses me off haha, only song they did I could say I'm not a fan of...hopefully it'll grow on me

  • Early Beatles. Can't go wrong.

  • @katebug35

with any beatles you can't go wrong

  • John can make any song sound better than the original

  • I think Beatles version is better than Gerry and Pacemakers but I need to admit that was a good version as well by Gerry.

  • You've never heard the Beatles until you've heard this.

  • Def John singing.

  • i wish today's r&b music was like this (y)

  • I really love the beatles, but please listen the version of Gerry and the pacemakers, IT IS SO MUCH BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ApollonAcheus I like both the versions by the Beatles and Gerry but have to admit that the Liverpool Five did it best.Really a best kept secret upto now

  • @MB300TEI just got thru listening to the Liverpool Five's 1966 version newly posted on Yu Tube and gotta agree wid ya that their version is a little better than the Beats and Gerry. Wonder why Epstein kept them under wraps?

  • @445Frogger That Liverpool Five version is really good....well worth checking out.Nice tip.

  • The guitar riff is the bass line from "I Saw Her Standing There"

  • @Verbeke7 quite right. Very similar.

  • George does a great job singing lead on this tune but you need to check out the one version that influenced him the most.....it was recorded first by the Liverpool Five and can be found on You Tube...well worth listening too are other tunes by this criminally overlooked band from the UK.

  • @Roxsox221 Er...I think it's John. Peace and love.

  • there are quite a few versions better than this

  • Live at the bbc album is huge xD

  • I'm addicted to this song. I love it when John sings rock n' roll songs like this =)

  • the beginning sounds like twist and shout lol but still a x-tremely awesome song i mean come on anything is awesome if it is The Beatles

  • Just a little rock n roll on the side(:

  • The Gerry & The Pacemakers video littered with comments about how that version is better. Here all I see is admiration for the fab four.

Thats why Im a Beatles maniac :)

  • If you think this is cool version you need to check out this tune as recorded around the same time by the Liverpool Five. It's on You Tube.

  • This kind of addiction is good

  • How sad is this version, lol.

  • i was expecting more.

  • "Don't ya worry 'bout a thing!" ;D

    I Love The Beatles!!

    Amazing song. <3

  • @motekhall your channel is great and all

but, will you stop dissing the beatles

i`m sure you appreciate good music..

i mean for a band that evolved from playing songs like she loves you

to songs like get back, revolution, helter skelter deserve a lot more respect.

go diss the jonas brothers or something, alright?

    cheers.

  • ...John sounds like he's just doing this song as a filler. He doesn't have any emotion. It kind of makes the song lose any emotion you would have invested in it.

  • Beatles is Beatles!

  • Well, I heard too. But I can tell that this version has more beat to it. Only The Beatles can do that...

  • You are an idiot. -.- The Beatles are the best!

  • @Libeatles so trueeee

  • goddamit I accidentally rated it 2 stars!

    I LOVE THIS SONG!!!

  • beginning sounds like Twist and Shout

    still awesome though!!

  • yeah it does!

  • @Sephir9x it's the same actually
