Progressive scan is crap when things are moving. And if u really want it to be progressive u can alternate it in a edit program or freeware on the net. Interlaced looks way better if the image has moving pictures. Like sports and cars etc. This camera rocks. I have a variaty of lenses for it. Looks great!

No they dont. They may shoot in 1080, but its not "real" 1080. What they do is shoot at 1440x1080, where as this shoots at 1920x1080. Thats 30% higher res than the sony or the canon.
Who needs 1920x1080p?

Canon HV20 and HG10 have real 1080p.

yes. with an intel mac and iMovie08, it is very easy to edit and upload to youtube. but it takes alot of disk space.

Really? In my environment. Edit very hard and very slow. I have to compress video before edit video clips.
