  • You are taking far too much. You are having to push way too hard and that is when you will slip and end up in the cutters. Morving the deapth of cut while the wood is being cut is never a good idea. Also your guard set up could be improved.

  • An interesting machine & an even more interesting operator. If you keep it up you'll be missing a finger or worse. At 2:00 you raise the knives while holding the 2 x 4 over them; incredibly careless. If you were in my shop, I 'would've sent you home. I personally knew a man who lost his arm up to the elbow back in the day when machines like this were used for trimming suitcase carcasses.

  • And the next video, "check out my new nubed fingers". great machine but I think you have gotten way to comfortable around your machines. I know 30 year veterens that never thought they would see the day they lost a finger. Yet low and behold after 30 years they finally lost a digit from being over confident. There is a good videos here on jointer safety, you should watch some.

  • Man these jointers are scary!!! all thar blade stickin out while your leaning over it...you shoild be walking with it, but whatever....that sucker snags your shirt and your up shit creek my friend without a paddle!! 17" blade exposed for a 2x4..... im not positive but i dont think thats a great idea.. Love the machine though

  • That would be a Sidney Machine Tool "Cyclone" series jointer.
