  • I once told my friend that they didn't find the titanic, fix it, repaint it and just sink it again... I told him it was a replica, and he just said so they made a replica and sunk that one? -.-

  • what did they do with it its kinda hard to just destroy did they sink it

  • I saw this video back in 97 at Foxploration down in Rosarito BC

  • "Oh shit, so much work, and we builed it in a wrong direction, what should we do?", asked Cameron,

"Captian Schettino reports on duty, sir!!!"

  • i would just put a big motor in thet thing -.-

  • @ThePrisoner12345 And it would still sink, since it was only the starboard side of the ship, with an open bottom.

  • even if they do rebuild the ship, fate has it set out that she will sink again, no matter what

  • now that is a real cruise ship! :D

  • this is how long it takes to make a republic with modern technology, imagine how much longer it took to make the real thing with old technology

  • @kyawmawthu it took them 2 years.

  • @kyawmawthu 5 years.

  • If you could build a Replica, Why don't you make a cruise ship with the EXACT same tech and colors and beauty as the original Titanic?

  • @2011LEGOFAN Modern Safety regulations....

  • @Cybertronic72388 i think what he means is build it out of modern stuff just make it look like actuall titanic

  • Well there's always the Titanic Museum in pigeon forge TN or Branson MO

  • no wonder the movie went over-budget...

  • @DaBlindKungFuMastuh rofl, number one selling film in all history, im sure they didn't mind...

  • They should build 1: 1 replicas/set/hotels! One in New York harbor and another in England! I'd go on them..... I mean who wouldn't want to spend a night on a White Star Line ship?

  • Why wont they make this a SHIP

  • i agree i live in vegas

  • As a proper passenger ship this ship could not be constructed today. There are too many safety issues. However, a replica of sorts could be constructed on dry land as a hotel. Tacky or not, maybe Las Vegas could do something like this. It would be the ultimate tourist attraction.

  • We should've kept her in one piece rather than taking her apart again, making her into a five-star hotel, as simking01 has already said.

  • Well I pray that they built a floating hotel to look like the Titanic! I would! U people have such a lazy butts!

  • @123Funnyboi Well there a hotel ship called Queen Mary at long beach "fyi" and its just like the titanic only it doesnt have a 4th fonel (;

  • It really was such a beautiful ship.

  • you can only walk on the deck because they only built the right side of the ship and there is no inside.

  • Pity they could of made it into a floating hotel in tribute to the original one

  • Damn, I wish I would have been there to see it.

Oh, wait, I was too busy being born. :/

  • For those that don't know, there were three sister ships, all almost identical.

Olympic was the 1st, then Titanic, then Britannic. There are differences between them, but you will only notice them if you look hard at the photos.

Britannic was used as a Medical/Hospital ship in WWI, before being sunk off the Greek Island of Kea by a mine or torpedo (up for debate).

Olympic was also used in WWI as a crew carrier, then survived as a cruise ship, until it was scrapped in 1937

  • @R1CH130 the brittanic was hit by a mine heading back from the world war 1 and the titanic and olympic may have been switched i heard that through a documentary all they had to do is change that name and carpeting and you have the titanic so that ship at the bottom of the ocean may just be the olympic

  • @lilheroslegacy The "swap" theory is well documented and it's something I've been researching recently. It does throw up a lot of questions, none of which have been satisfactorily answered for my liking.

There was a lot more to change though, every part on the two ships was numberd, 400 for Olympic, 401 for Titanic, even down to the wood panelling on the walls. When Olympic was scrapped in 37, some panelling was sold at auction and still exists in hotels in the UK. It had 400 on it as it should

  • How is this for the 1997 movie? James Cameron computerized half of the ship. :P

  • they are starting to rebuilding ships evrywhere in the world i woot freak out if i see the titanic flote by hahaha o no not iggaine help me to rebuild togetther we can rebuild the ship but 1 need ti start il try but i need help

  • i wonder why they didn't keep the set and turn it into a tourist spot, i so badly would love to see a titanic replica, sail or no sail

  • @lovelydiva06 so do I. It would be interesting if it sailed - lots of fun to be had as an engine operator

  • WHAT THE NEEED TO DO, IS MAKE ANOTHER ONE FOR DISPLAY :)...OR A HOTEL.....

  • why just not make it a real ship i mean they got that far

  • they should build the replica of titanic abet loads of people would want to sail on her just think of all her fans in the world

  • DAM TO BAD WHY THEY ARENT REBUILDING THE SET /SHIP?

  • @pCneter It would be to expensive. :(

  • @pCneter they can't rebuild the ship, because it's not up to today's code; if it were, there wouldnt be room for people

  • @sw201444 besides, there's no steam engines for sale, we have to use diesel...

  • @GordonFreemanD40 like i said, not to todays standards.

    ......

  • @pCneter they are a anniversary cruise ride thing

  • @pCneter I read at one point they were going to make a replica ship, but it didn't have enough support, plus one of the survivors was against it.

  • Too bad they did not keep the set open it as a hotel a full scale non sailing replica would be a great educational tool for anyone I would love to stroll the decks of a replica ,

  • @simking01 Unfortunately only small pieces of the set could be kept. The main Titanic set was wrecked during the flooding for the sinking sequences. The Grand Staircase broke loose when the set was flooded. (Which is what is thought to have happened to the original). Surviving buildings had to be demolished or made compliant to local building codes. It's typical of most movies - sets are quickly slapped together as they only have to last through the filming.

  • @simking01 yah, i know. when i was younger, i wanted to open a hotel that looked like the titanic, just like this. :]

  • @simking01 It was destroyed during the filming, at least most of the set was.

  • @simking01 im sure it was dangerous because maybe the materials used werent really boat "worthy" since they have a budget and keep it cheap.

like when they build movie sets like streets with buildings, those buildings are made of plywood

  • @simking01 Yeah me too!

  • @simking01

    maybe someday in Virtual Reality

  • @simking01

The set suffered water damage because the production crew actually tilted it for the sinking scenes. It was one of the most expensive items in the film's budget. The production went well over budget which forced 20th Century Fox to partner with Paramount and split production costs and distriubution rights.

The set was built to do a job for the film -- not be saved as a tourist attraction. Very few film sets and backdrops get saved. They're scrapped after filming.

  • u know people if the white star is still her someday i well go there and ask them to make number 2 of the titanc

  • r they so stupid or wat, they should of made a real titanic dumb assses

  • @tonygalvera1 why make a real titanic

    the real one died

  • @tonygalvery1 R U STUPID OR WAT HOOW R THEY GANNA MAKE THE REAL ONE ASS HOLE IF THE REAL ONE SANK DUHHH R U IN PRESS SCHOOL OR WAT MOTHER FUCKER!

  • @fashanista1 havw more respect they can make a new titanic but with steal not with rivets,so they can just put in like a hotel, asi ke chingas a tu madre pendejo.......

  • @fashanista1 You just called him stupid, yet your grammer is retarded....

  • @avatarcody1 yeah dude your right

  • @fashanista1 your an idiot. he was saying instead of making a full scale hunk of non floating metal thay should have just made another one

  • Cool!

  • Coulda rebuild it completely

  • thats cool
