  • Asus left the rep -quality- out on these new releases. Thats a shame becuase it's a name brand. They blame a Tiger Direct for all the problems. It's not the Asus we thought it was. And they overprice it blaming NewEgg. Why buy one.

  • すげぇ・・・ビデオカードのドライバ入って無いのに軽快過ぎる・・・・

  • Yes first time install the latest Videocard Driver and then Play. I ahve an AMD Phenom Procesor an ATI Radeon 4870X2 and my Motherboard si MSI K9A2 with 790FX and belive me is the Best Choice !

    MAD- ATI Radeon Best Choice

  • ¨bad performance/because you have not installed your drivers ;) especially video driver cause if you dont install them that is whats going to happen 5/5

  • Same motherboard :P

You need to install the chipset and video drivers or this will happen.

  • i GOT a foxconn A7VMX-k with 1 gB DDR2 800

same chipset catlyst 8.3 running a vista

    ultimate no problema amigo

    foxconn rock's

  • Hi,

the problem with the slow desktop is nearly fixed by the 8.12 BETA driver.

  • good news

    i wait official release.

    bye

  • with catalyst 8.12, scrolling is fast

    bye

  • hy, sorry for my english.

i added a video reply with the seem problem.

if you check my video, there is a second video where there is a comparison between chrome and firefox

    bye

  • Hi, very good. I think FF uses functions that are not implemented by AMD or buggy because they are emulated by the CPU. (check the CPU usage in the Task Manager)

Google Chrome does not use these, therefore the bugs are not there.

  • i make a new video with task manager open

    check it

  • ops.. is the hold video.. you can delete it.

  • I apologize confusing the video are correct

  • Dude, you have to install your graphics drivers and chipset drivers for your motherboard and integrated graphics. Thats why its so laggy. You could have the most powerful video card and without the right drivers, it will run just like it does in your video. I recommend downloading the latest drivers off the website instead of the cd that came with your computer because they usually are patched and fixed with will stop all the problems your having!

  • No, sorry but it is not a fake, it is the Truth. The Catalyst Driver are installed and the problem does even exist on newer versions (up to 8.11!) Look on the Video. I have started the GPU- Z tool to show you that the graphic drivers are installed. Otherwise it would not start.

  • I think the problem is that some 2D graphics commands are emulated by the CPU (you see it on the Task Manager) I think there is something wrong with the initialization process of the graphics chip by the driver or by windows. I have heared that some BIOS update on Gigabyte Boards could fix that issue, then it's smooth as it should be and all problems are gone. Also this issue is not on Dual Screen systems. Very strange.

    PLEASE AMD: FIX THIS C

  • I've heard that XP 64 has bad driver support for some models. I guess Vista (bleh) is the solution!

  • same problem here, even with a nvidia card installed, it seem like a bottleneck on the graphic bus or memory ...

  • I got exactly the same problem! I tried several driver versions!

  • I bought the ASUS M3A78-CM board tonight, installed it and I am facing THE EXACT SAME ISSUE. I've installed and re-installed the drivers that came on the mobo CD, even downloaded the drivers and still, no luck.. very disappointed. Can't find a fix anywhere, people have had this issue going back 8 months.

I'm getting much better performance out of my M2A-VM.

  • Zieht der durch mit ALDI

    xDDDDDDDDDD

  • Normal because YOU DONT HAVE THE GRAPHIC-DRIVES INSTALLED

  • Have you read the description, he mentioned the catalyst. If you didn't know it, it is the AMD driver.

  • i know what catalyst is and what amd drivers are so dont tell me that again but when he REALLY have installed an AMD driver for the chipset why is it soo slow?I think he faked itß Or not.

  • no fake, unfortunately. I also have a 780G board. WinXP SP3 and Catalyst 8.11. But on some websites my system is crawling. I love the hardware but the ATI driver is suboptimal. I have installed WinXP 4 time till I believed this crappy performance.

  • O...so its not a fake...i better buy the latest chipset what was the name 790fx i think right?

  • it call install you drivers

  • ATI sucking @ this great chipset hood hardware, shitty drivers for it though.

in the same breath : the catylist 8.10 = hotfix driver does a great job on my pciX card.

ATI u need to sort out the 780G/hd3200 driver issue, i'm am truly dissapointed in u ATI

  • & i dont even think ver 8.8 or 8.9 or 8.10 is installable. As i have tried to install catylist 8.10= error after error after error , even when i tied ti install ver 8.4 is said i have to install in as administator , i tried that & still wont instal. I did some reading around the net . alot of ppl having the same issues.

  • got a sapphire 780g + be5000+ ,2gig ddr2 800 , it behaves the same way. if u read up @ amd forum u'll see that its ati driver are the real problem with this chipset. the last decent driver for it is 8.4 . catylist 8.6 gives worse performance & ver 8.7 causes BSOD is 98% of the the mobo irrespective of maker.

  • my friend has a same problem with his new laptop hp 6735b - poor performance in 2d mode on Win Xp. Ati should do something about this coz it's sucks !

  • lol nvm my comment! saw the first 10 seconds and saw nothing wrong. Well you basically have to install your drivers, but you mentioned other ppl had the same problem too. Maybe i think it's just XP (so much better than vista)

  • whats wrong? Sorry if im ignorant, dont know whats wrong at all.

  • Have you installed this with drivers allready on the HDD from the older setup??

Have you updated to ATI/AMDs newest Chipset drivers?

As you are having driver issues their!

Maybe best to uninstall the drivers and install the newest AMD catalyst from the amd website. and never allow Windows to update with their GFX drivers from WU

    Good luck dude!

  • had this problem but after installing the drivers from the cd it came with everything is smooth on a 19" screen (emaxx 780g pro)

  • Motherboard NameAsus M3A78 Pro

    and my memory is ungaged

    how can i gange it

  • Hmm, I've just ordered one of these haha, but, my mate has one, and his is fine, he uses firefox all the time, and no jumpyness, he also plays loads of games, he even played crysis warhead on it! on low... XD

  • this is a known prob with HD3200, seemed to be caused since it doesnt have native DirectDraw accelaration and the driver emulates it badly, while the OS(WinXP) tries to force DD. Using Vista seems to help/resolve the issue due to different implementations of DD, while for XP moving the hardware acceleration slider one point to the left seems to help a bit. Using a different browser (Opera、Safari、Chrome) should help too. The ultimate solution would be simply to add a cheap vid card :-)

  • Have you ever checked your current driver? Perhaps, one other older drivers, or times you could make a BIOS Updata.

I had also been times when an old system a similar problem, as I have an ATI graphics card 9700xt a driver Updata wanted to make.

  • i dont have such problems with my 780G and WinXP

  • hi. i am not alone. There are a lot of other users with the same problem. Sure, the drivers are installed and listed in the Device manager

  • incorrect video driver is installed

  • This is exactly what it looks like when either a) an incorrect video driver is installed or b) when a video driver for the card is not installed (default system driver).

Make sure that you have installed the videodrivers and other system specific drivers from the disc that came with the mainboard or download them from the manufacturers websité.

Good luck (maybe u already did this but just my $.50)...

  • what are your idle temps, mine are 45c.

  • your motherboard doesnt support the phenoms i dont think if its the 140w or youve installed the driver incorrectly because mine is running perfect

  • could it be :

    bottom neck ?

    latest flash player ?

    too much GUI ( icon ) ?

    latest browser ?
