The sound, the costumes, the suits in their other videos, the black and white checkered floors, this screams 80s as all Monarchy stuff does. To rad, too cool, like totally! Others emulate the 80s all wrong. It wasn't all intense constant neon colors like rainbow bright. Monarchy is creating an exact representation of the 80s. Neon colors were always balanced with black so you didn't look like a glow worm. Bright neon tops were balanced with darker bottoms and vice versa. Look up T&C Surf Shirts.

This video has 373,085 views on it as of 5/26/11. And I'm pretty sure that 300,000 of those views are from me. I can't stop watching this video. It's so current, yet so 80s retro. Whoever did this is BRILLIANT! I know it's Monarchy, but whoever directed the video I mean. I love how the 80s are coming back while still using current technology and themes. Be cool if they could do the same thing with the 70s, 60s, and 50s decade sounds.

Great vid and song. Love it, although the 4 dancing robots/choreography might have been taken from Herbie Hancock's Rock it at the Grammy's from 1984, this shows the man was way ahead of his time. Have a look, enjoy.

@jeskinn What I mend to say was that they might have taken the idea and part of the choreography from Hancock. Watch Hancock @ 2.08 and Monarchy @ 0.48. Almost identical and some other moves are also the same but I sure think the choreographer was inspired by Hancock which is cool and should be no problem. Like them both, the Hancock performance back in 1984 was groundbreaking for that time, got a standing ovation.

Daft Punk did start a whole new generation of music, its obvious that bands, duos, groups, etc. are going to sound like them.
