They love what they do. I think Dave was commenting upon the fact that when some of them were playing in bands outwith Hijak Oscar it never seemed to gel. They used T4 to garner a bigger audience rather than to 'win', and they have since been recording/touring rather relentlessly ever since. Tim recently mentioned that they intend to record a new album soon and they have only just finished touring their last album.
I saw these guys live last night, they scared, thrilled, disgusted, enticed, repelled and attracted me all at once and i loved every second of the racket they were making. Ears are still ringing but I dont care. Every one of them unbelievably talented and possibly clincally insane and not in a stupid dolled up marylin manson way but something even more sinister yet compelling way. Each band member seemed to just be playing stuff at random and loudly but it worked. Simply genius!

Hmm, I cant see why any band wouldnt want to be entered into a competition that would get interest in their band, get them on tv playing their tunes and possibly get a record deal at the end. Any band that says they wouldnt because its too commercial is just stupid surely?! And anyway they got kicked out because they had a fook you attitude to the competition. Theyve probs made a few grand atleast selling their CD on myspace because of it anyway so good on them :)
The whole reason they entered the competition was to garner some support and exposure. Hence why they were sick of the competition come the end. By then they had the exposure, support and fans to continue how they started-- playing and creating on their own terms.

its not earth shattering but what else do the judges have to choose from,most self respecting bands wouldn;t go anywhere near a competition like this but these are desperate times and sometimes tv at any cost seems attractive to a band
i think you are being less derogatory then everyone else thinks....These guys are way above anything else at this competition and they obviously stooped to be on tv for the exposure. their constant admittance of this is why they got kicked. its bullshit but there you go. Alot of great bands toiled under different labels before making their own to have the most freedom (ie beatles, zeppelin)...something you have to do sometimes
miles ahead of any band in the competition and the majority of bands releasing albums at the moment, i got the album, its ace but with Greed was on it so much, love this song so much
i agrea with u that envy are also amazing but remember hijak only gt kicked out cuz they were didnt want to win! im VERY PLEASED THOSE FUKERS REVENUE DIDNT WIN THEY WERE SO GOBBY!
