The whole "belief before you can see" is just a buffer to try and keep outsiders and scientists from breaking down the fantasy aspect of their religion. It's remarkable how versatile it is. If a person quits a religion, they will just say he/she never had a strong belief in the first place.
The only so called evidence they have of miracles is so dubious, or has no historical evidence whatsoever. They're fabricated stories with a clear knowledge on how to create a hive mind mentality.
I just discovered your channel and damn near choked. I was eating an orange while watching this video, started laughing, and almost sucked it back down my windpipe. Funny ass shit! I've watched several of your videos and had a great laugh.
Great video. The other excuse that believers come up with is "God ALWAYS answers prayers, but sometimes his answer is no or you'll have to wait." After I laugh, I always tell them those are EXACTLY the same options you have if you NEVER prayed. Believers are such idiots...but fun to mess with.
Many years ago I prayed to god to heal a 7 yr. old girl of a particular type of very nasty Bone Cancer.
Later, someone told me he prayed to god and god put money in his pocket. That's interesting isn't it. Good ole god will answer some phony Xian's prayer for money!! But he couldn't take a minute to heal a beautiful baby from such a horrid disease.
That my friend, was the beginning of my de-conversion.
@eequalsfb if he answers now, but I am thinking about some other shit, like 1000 different things in few seconds, which is just normal for normal brain, am I getting the answers like 1;100000000000000000 times? And if I got answer, it's like happening of that thing is 1:00000000000000000 it means, that it's almost the same as saying it was going to happen anyway. Do you feel what I thought!

@jedus1 in case you haven't noticed, important people, people who run the world actually, people who make important decisions (decisions that shape the world) take this nonsense for truth. If you respect your own skepticism and like me, find theistic thinking to be detrimental to mankind: why is it that you think that debate is a bad thing or even worse, a waste of time?
we're talking about a bunch of folks who believes a talking snake convinced our ancestors 6000 years ago (a few hours after the entire universe was created) to eat a piece of fruit. after that a "loving" god has cursed them and future generations to be born destined to be tortured for eternity .
and all of this, according to them, is "logic". and if u don't believe all of this crazy shit, u apperently don't have "enough scholarly wisdom" to believe that as the truth... ... ... ಠ_ಠ
Not only that, but if you really read the bible it's like a huge fairytale.

2. They had giants. GIANTS DAMMIT!
3. Demons and ghosts and fucking zombies(Lazarus, I think his name was)
4. People give money to the churches, 10% of thier income actually, then even more as a "sowing-seed" and then go on to blame demons for their poverty.
@yukimushu logic is what probably made everyone of us non-believers. If believers proselytize and preach their dumb ass, non-logic credo, why should't us, those who reason, share our point of view also, freeing the world of ignorance in the process.
I was a Roman Catholic for the first 20 years of my life, and I went through a very difficult agnostic period between 21-24, so this argument has no effect on me at all. I sought god with "sincerity of heart" and "purity of intention"! The bastard didn't want to be my friend, so I say fuck him--or her!
I'm 13, and more intelligent than a large population of the world that continue to blame murder on demons, even though there's a fucker pointing a gun at your head, Adolf was God-motivated(so he said) and the bible has many accounts where God's people proved to be vicious killers.
They always talk about when God saved them from an accident, but don't talk about when he refuses to intervene when a car slams into another or a plane into a building.
It's great to hear that your mind is beginning to open up, especially at such a young age, but be careful with such arrogance. I assure you that you are not the smartest person around, and even if you were, you wouldn't become so in a matter of days. Such arrogance will inevitable cause you not to want to learn because you'll feel as if you know everything already. Continue to question everything and learn what you can, and you will become an intelligent person.
I suppose the word "intelligence" was a bad choice...
I actually meant to describe my new found ability to see past the cover of God's "love" and look at how murderous he really is, how much the bible has lied and the kind of circular reasoning in the story of Jesus. This line got me thinking: "God manifested himself to sacrifice himself from a punishment that he sentenced". My first question was: "Why sacrifice? Why not just forgive?".
I was Jehovah's Witness for 30 years, man thats one big headfuck. My awakening was difficult too, to the point I actually went through a kind of psychological deconstruction, it was a horrible time, and I also had sincerity and purity of intention, I would cry in my prayers, wanting so badly for someone to be there. If that isn't asking with a sincere motive, I do not know what is.
I know how that is. If you're at all like me you still experience some of the effects of the theistic mindset; for instance, I still feel as though I am able to commit thought-crimes. I guess that you could say there is a line blurred in my head betweem thoughts and actions. Hmm... maybe I should do a video on this...
I do get that, like I find blasphemy still makes me tense, even though I don't believe in a deity. Also, because I was raised (brainwashed) from childhood, I find myself questioning every thought and opinion I have, wondering if it is genuinely my thoughts or some bogus idea instilled in my by the Watchtower.
I hear you man. I was a Christian for the majority of my life, and recall similar moments of crying in my prayers. Once I turned atheistic in my beliefs, apparently everything I did was not sincere. It is a headfuck.
And Fundies will tell you that if you never had a prayer answered it "has" to be your fault. You "had" to have done something wrong...not sincere enough, not committed enough...
It can never be anything thing else bcuz if so, that would mean god "is" at fault & he has to be perfect, and he never lies, never does anything wrong.
They tell themselves these lies over and over until they're convinced.
I'm glad I'm an atheist now. I even feel cleaner, a lot cleaner!
Yes. I used to argue with my minister, saying that I felt religion made people flippant towards life, because they believe it is transient and they're all waiting for the next life. He disagreed of course, but I never valued life more than when I started to realize I only have one.

I asked a Christian if it was alright to pray to God to prove himself by allowing the air out of the left rear tyre of my bigot neighbour ... alas, she thought that wasn't appropriate. I can not see how a God that enjoyed transforming a woman into a pillar of salt wasn't looking forward to such a modest practical joke on my asshole neighbour whilst converting me in the process. Damn ... what a missed chance.
Genocide, slavery and rape are in one category and vandalism is in another. Yahweh has drawn the line in the sand just short of vandalism. He is just.
Well put. Your way of thinking suggests to me that you are an ex-Christian too, am I right?. I recognise many, many of your thoughts. In particular the one that when Christians tell you to pray to God and you are not genuinely believing that a God is actually listening, then he might not answer you for lack of faith, but once you do truly believe there is no need for verification.
"And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost."
This is the great promise of the Book of Mormon. I believed that crap for over 20 years.
hehe It doesn't. But visit a mormon channel and ask why you should believe in that religion. They will tell you to read the Book of Mormon and refer you to that very verse.
hehe it's circular alright. But I was spoon fed that shit since I was a kid, I believed it and didn't see the problems with it. Well, I did eventually, that's why I left that bizarre religion.
Moments ago, I accidentally hit my computer, and a youtube video froze at that very moment [due to youtube's server going slow], just a coincidence. But I've seen crazy conversion stories, a person is wondering about which religion is the "one true religion" then sees an owl on the highest point of a building, happens to be a cross on a Catholic Church, and then he claimed it was a sign from God to become Catholic. Then he felt better, and that was another sign that he was "right."
@stengevarsel it is funny because most of the people I know (which are not mormons) dismiss Joseph Smith as a charlatan who purposely created his own holy book and religion for his own benefit (this happened in more recent times). These same people's intuition fails to acknowledge that this is also true for the establishment of christianity as a state religion during the Roman empire under the Emperor Constantine. It was only a means to justify an empire.
@brokenscimitar Well...Thank Goodness!, I didn't have to pray to anyone to make me into an atheist. I became one on my own. It took me years of studying and understanding (history, science, etc.), to unlearn things that I was brought up with. On that said: What is the point of your comment? Seems to me you are a bit confused.
No, I was only joking about the praying. Since I was a small child and frogmarched to Sunday School, I didn't believe in the biblical stories, God, Jesus, Daniel, Noah or any of the other fairy tales. I'm not confused; quite the contrary, I am quite clear, resolute and happy in my atheism.
I am not, by any means, apologetic about religion (any of them). I was just illustrating how religion is man-made and deliberately rigged to serve human purposes (most of which are ill founded, the rest just pathetically worthless).
@Eoneone374 That pretty much sums up the whole origin of most religions. Reading the bible with the background knowledge of cults, their functioning, emotional manipulation, did not make me form the image of a fun-loving jesus, as I was taught during youth.
The whole thing about sincerity makes me think of Linus van Pelt awaiting the Great Pumpkin in the pumpkin patch he feels is the most sincere. Praying to god also makes me think of the Great Pumpkin.
i went to a catholic school when i was 11, i hadn't learnt to think for myself yet so i bought everything my teachers told me about god
i believed so much that i cried in bed every night about not being circumsized or baptized, and the same with all my family members, which would mean i was going to hell
i felt shuned and ignored because i wasn't experiencing the presense of god, i prayed with all my heart often crying my eyes out, an 11 or 12 year old kid... NOTHING happened :/
after awhile my belief slowly faded as i naturally stopped caring, i still prayed but it was just ruteen now
today i'm 15 and i consider myself an atheist after investigating the claims made by my teachers, so much for god answering if we're sincere enough
how do i know i was sincere? as if the tears and aching, hollow feeling in my chest wasn't indication enough? the genuine fear of my family members being sent to hell?
luckily that hole is filled now that i'm free from that fear and sadness
Prayer works because religion covers all of ther bases by saying god answers in "Yes" "no" and "wait". So when they get a hit god said"YES". If it doesn't happen then he said"no". When it takes some time before they get the desired result then he said"wait". This luck of the draw approach is probably statistically about as accurate whether you pray to god, jesus or a tree in your front yard. Statistically you will hit the jackpot if you keep trying so is that really how god answers prayers????
Prayer has three possible answers: yes, no, or wait. EVERY situation can be accounted for by 1 of those three answers. And you never know what the answer is until you either get or don't get what you ask for. And of course, every "no" is seen as "god's plan". Why are all bad things somehow in the plan, but not the good things?
A Magic 8 Ball is better. 20 possible answers, and you get the result right away.
Yes, all-in-all, I think it's better to go with the Magic 8 Ball.
If proof is given, any atheist would convert in a heartbeat.
I was raised Jewish, went to the synagogue, yeshiva and observed until the fifth grade.
As you get older it is easier to see bullshit and lies. My personal experience tells me that ALL religions are a load of crap.
Granted, there may be some good messages hidden within the propaganda, but overall I believe the human race as a whole has ingrained within them the understanding of right and wrong.
"I believe the human race as a whole has ingrained within them the understanding of right and wrong."
And I would point to feral children, the same as if you were saying God gave us instinct morals to know right and wrong. We don't, it's all social behavior learned. Morality, right, wrong, these are partially relative. Murder, and stealing are typically condemned because they have victims. "Sins", however, include thought crimes and absurd things.
the feral child can still read body language, even when it has never been exposed to it before. it can still reckognize a fellow human being, it still has a sense of empathy and a sense of moral behavior even if it does not operate by the same moral code that you do.
Some lack the ability to empathize, not all feral children are the same, and most aren't truly void of all human interaction. However, we can tell certain things from studying them. As far as feral children being able to "read body language", it's behavioral, but I'm not sure it's as relevant as empathy or what makes us human. I think we can agree animals don't need moral codes or to define their actions as right or wrong. We have the capability for many things, but morals are mostly learned.
Ahh! It pains me to see that the number of views your vid has had is so far below what it deserves. You're definitely one of the 'heavyweights' of youtube atheism as far as I'm concerned.
Your video has inspired me bro. This very issue has been stuck in my craw for a few days now. I have a vid uplaoding now. Thank you for giving me the push that I needed.
And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.
Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
So people who claim to give proof or know of proof or claim to have evidence or a sign or that you can get a sign are not reading their Bible. *points and VenomFangX as the best example, so-called Christian*
I know the Bible and doctrine better than most Christians. Quickest way to become an atheist is to read your Bible.
Does it seem to you that as much as people tout their faith, it is perhaps the most ignored teaching of the Bible. I personally despise the idea of faith, but it seems the most common Christian hypocrisy is the abandonment of faith and reliance on rationalizations and ignorance.
Agreed. It seems like faith is the entire thing. It is the key to being a true Christian. Which seems like an illogical way to formulate a lifelong worldview, to me. This type of faith is synonymous with gullibility, but I don't hear anyone praising one another for being suckers.
See my "Faith Frenzy" video for proof that Christians don't actually use faith.
If it was simply faith and you didn't have to convert others to believe the same way you do to save them from hell, Christians would never even try to address issues. When people do try to address issues as a Christian, everything hinges on the infallibility of the Bible, and that requires faith despite proof against it. Most Christians realize faith is a weak platform to build on for belief in God unless you already believe. Most couldn't even tell you why they believe, a very simple question.
HMM. I wonder if this type of conversation would be all it would take to get most "believers" to consider their faith deeply enough to realize they aren't believers at all.
New subsciber here. As I struggle through the sea of stupidity that surrounds me every day, I despair of reason. Then, like an Oxygen Bar to an Emphysema sufferer, videos like these reinvigorate me and I feel I can struggle on. Thanks large.
there is no evidence of your games. THe GP is too stupid, so their fate is decided. I want out. You should always get what you want.

Moroni 10:4
"And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost."
This is the great promise of the Book of Mormon. I believed that crap for over 20 years.

haha its funny because it makes no sence
happyhappy85 2 years ago
hehe It doesn't. But visit a mormon channel and ask why you should believe in that religion. They will tell you to read the Book of Mormon and refer you to that very verse.
It never fails.

Circular logic is circularly circular isn't it?
How to believe in god:
1. Believe in god.
2. Ask god to help you believe in god.
3. Believe in god.
middlekk 2 years ago
hehe it's circular alright. But I was spoon fed that shit since I was a kid, I believed it and didn't see the problems with it. Well, I did eventually, that's why I left that bizarre religion.
stengevarsel 2 years ago
Moments ago, I accidentally hit my computer, and a youtube video froze at that very moment [due to youtube's server going slow], just a coincidence. But I've seen crazy conversion stories, a person is wondering about which religion is the "one true religion" then sees an owl on the highest point of a building, happens to be a cross on a Catholic Church, and then he claimed it was a sign from God to become Catholic. Then he felt better, and that was another sign that he was "right."

I have to agree, Qualiasoup is the man.
eequalsfb 2 years ago
@stengevarsel it is funny because most of the people I know (which are not mormons) dismiss Joseph Smith as a charlatan who purposely created his own holy book and religion for his own benefit (this happened in more recent times). These same people's intuition fails to acknowledge that this is also true for the establishment of christianity as a state religion during the Roman empire under the Emperor Constantine. It was only a means to justify an empire.

Hey, man, gold or stone tablets, they've all gone conveniently missing. I prayed for god to make me into an atheist, and guess what? He did!
brokenscimitar 1 year ago
@brokenscimitar Well...Thank Goodness!, I didn't have to pray to anyone to make me into an atheist. I became one on my own. It took me years of studying and understanding (history, science, etc.), to unlearn things that I was brought up with. On that said: What is the point of your comment? Seems to me you are a bit confused.
Eoneone374 11 months ago
@Eoneone374
No, I was only joking about the praying. Since I was a small child and frogmarched to Sunday School, I didn't believe in the biblical stories, God, Jesus, Daniel, Noah or any of the other fairy tales. I'm not confused; quite the contrary, I am quite clear, resolute and happy in my atheism.
brokenscimitar 11 months ago
I am not, by any means, apologetic about religion (any of them). I was just illustrating how religion is man-made and deliberately rigged to serve human purposes (most of which are ill founded, the rest just pathetically worthless).
Eoneone374 11 months ago
@Eoneone374 That pretty much sums up the whole origin of most religions. Reading the bible with the background knowledge of cults, their functioning, emotional manipulation, did not make me form the image of a fun-loving jesus, as I was taught during youth.

Thanks. No, I'm not a former Christian. I have some experience with Christian 'logic', though. It's fascinating.

The whole thing about sincerity makes me think of Linus van Pelt awaiting the Great Pumpkin in the pumpkin patch he feels is the most sincere. Praying to god also makes me think of the Great Pumpkin.

teaching children about hell is child abuse, and it should be treated as such by law
IzzyBunneh 2 years ago
i went to a catholic school when i was 11, i hadn't learnt to think for myself yet so i bought everything my teachers told me about god
i believed so much that i cried in bed every night about not being circumsized or baptized, and the same with all my family members, which would mean i was going to hell
i felt shuned and ignored because i wasn't experiencing the presense of god, i prayed with all my heart often crying my eyes out, an 11 or 12 year old kid... NOTHING happened :/
IzzyBunneh 2 years ago 3
after awhile my belief slowly faded as i naturally stopped caring, i still prayed but it was just ruteen now
today i'm 15 and i consider myself an atheist after investigating the claims made by my teachers, so much for god answering if we're sincere enough
how do i know i was sincere? as if the tears and aching, hollow feeling in my chest wasn't indication enough? the genuine fear of my family members being sent to hell?
luckily that hole is filled now that i'm free from that fear and sadness

Prayer works because religion covers all of ther bases by saying god answers in "Yes" "no" and "wait". So when they get a hit god said"YES". If it doesn't happen then he said"no". When it takes some time before they get the desired result then he said"wait". This luck of the draw approach is probably statistically about as accurate whether you pray to god, jesus or a tree in your front yard. Statistically you will hit the jackpot if you keep trying so is that really how god answers prayers????
fredface23456 2 years ago
Doesnt it say somewhere in the bible, that anything asked, shall be given? I didnt see anything about "no" or "wait".
Seems like a bad deal.
KrackerJacker 2 years ago
The prayer becomes the prey of his giving away the power and will, to something perceived outside himself.
It's an delusion
When in fact all is inside.
So why giv away your power to some crazy god?
Realize that you are all that is instead, one and equal to all.

AndreaRossouw1 2 years ago

Granted, there may be some good messages hidden within the propaganda, but overall I believe the human race as a whole has ingrained within them the understanding of right and wrong.
gtssage 2 years ago
I have to partially disagree with the last part:
"I believe the human race as a whole has ingrained within them the understanding of right and wrong."
And I would point to feral children, the same as if you were saying God gave us instinct morals to know right and wrong. We don't, it's all social behavior learned. Morality, right, wrong, these are partially relative. Murder, and stealing are typically condemned because they have victims. "Sins", however, include thought crimes and absurd things.
Zairik 2 years ago
the feral child can still read body language, even when it has never been exposed to it before. it can still reckognize a fellow human being, it still has a sense of empathy and a sense of moral behavior even if it does not operate by the same moral code that you do.
greycloud24 2 years ago
Some lack the ability to empathize, not all feral children are the same, and most aren't truly void of all human interaction. However, we can tell certain things from studying them. As far as feral children being able to "read body language", it's behavioral, but I'm not sure it's as relevant as empathy or what makes us human. I think we can agree animals don't need moral codes or to define their actions as right or wrong. We have the capability for many things, but morals are mostly learned.

Luke 11:29
And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.
1 Corinthians 14:22
Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.
Take your pick.
Zairik 2 years ago
So then the bible clearly tells us we shouldn't ask for signs (evidence) for what we believe.
Let's use that logic to play darts. We shouldn't need to see in order to play darts. Blindfolded darts anyone?
eequalsfb 2 years ago
Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
So people who claim to give proof or know of proof or claim to have evidence or a sign or that you can get a sign are not reading their Bible. *points and VenomFangX as the best example, so-called Christian*
I know the Bible and doctrine better than most Christians. Quickest way to become an atheist is to read your Bible.
Zairik 2 years ago
Does it seem to you that as much as people tout their faith, it is perhaps the most ignored teaching of the Bible. I personally despise the idea of faith, but it seems the most common Christian hypocrisy is the abandonment of faith and reliance on rationalizations and ignorance.
ionz75 2 years ago 2
Agreed. It seems like faith is the entire thing. It is the key to being a true Christian. Which seems like an illogical way to formulate a lifelong worldview, to me. This type of faith is synonymous with gullibility, but I don't hear anyone praising one another for being suckers.
See my "Faith Frenzy" video for proof that Christians don't actually use faith.
eequalsfb 2 years ago
If it was simply faith and you didn't have to convert others to believe the same way you do to save them from hell, Christians would never even try to address issues. When people do try to address issues as a Christian, everything hinges on the infallibility of the Bible, and that requires faith despite proof against it. Most Christians realize faith is a weak platform to build on for belief in God unless you already believe. Most couldn't even tell you why they believe, a very simple question.
Zairik 2 years ago
HMM. I wonder if this type of conversation would be all it would take to get most "believers" to consider their faith deeply enough to realize they aren't believers at all.
Interesting.
eequalsfb 2 years ago
"Most couldn't even tell you why they believe, a very simple question."
I keep asking them that! I never get an answer. I even promise them that I will convert on the spot if i can find a valid reason ... Nothing.
Is anyone surprised?
