Im 21 in a band and just dropped out of college to pursue my passion and that is being a musician. many people say its not a wise choice and to go back to be a "doctor".i knew thats not where i belong. I play shows with my band and people come up to us asking when is our next show. even though metal music is in shits right now. I'd been stressed about what to do, and if my music is bad, but you had a good point. I should take pride in what I wan't to do and I'm gonna try harder to write better. Its true you need to live your dream people tell us to get a job so we contribute to society. So we fit in the system like everyone else. When we try to live our dreams there are people who will stop us but you have to say this to yourself. We go to school and get a degree to get a job and for what so we can survive. Why live a life so you can survive might as well go into the after life. If we don't do what we love then why live?

Many years ago, I was working my ass of to feed my 4 kids and my wife of 15 years in a very dead-end job. I hated my job more than anything, but my duty to my family is my first priority. Then the badness: I started to black out, I'd fall on my face in the line of a coffee shop, or at work, or at a friends place. The job stressing me to point where sleep was nearly gone. I was forced to quit or suffer a heart attack or stroke. Now I do what I want: Teach guitar. You are absolutely right.

Dude you are the fucking man. I'm a 16 year old guy and you literally made me cry. Like others who have commented here, I'm a musician. I play guitar and sing. I realize that I probably won't lead the most financially stable life. I may have some other job, but music will always be ahead of that and if it comes in the way of music, music will win. 3 months ago or so me and my gf were talking about never giving up on something we like to do for anyone. I'm 16, I play guitar for 3 years now, and have a youtube channel (guitar covers) with small audience and she made me promise I would enter a music school, I have and the first two weeks have been amazing. She wanted me to feel happy and satisfied, and my parents paying me this lessons, is a real blessing. So continue on doing this Sami. I'll try to watch all your videos from now

Its true you need to live your dream people tell us to get a job so we contribute to society. So we fit in the system like everyone else. When we try to live our dreams there are people who will stop us but you have to say this to yourself. We go to school and get a degree to get a job and for what so we can survive. Why live a life so you can survive might as well go into the after life. If we don't do what we love then why live?

Many years ago, I was working my ass of to feed my 4 kids and my wife of 15 years in a very dead-end job. I hated my job more than anything, but my duty to my family is my first priority. Then the badness: I started to black out, I'd fall on my face in the line of a coffee shop, or at work, or at a friends place. The job stressing me to point where sleep was nearly gone. I was forced to quit or suffer a heart attack or stroke. Now I do what I want: Teach guitar. You are absolutely right.

Dude you are the fucking man. I'm a 16 year old guy and you literally made me cry. Like others who have commented here, I'm a musician. I play guitar and sing. I realize that I probably won't lead the most financially stable life. I may have some other job, but music will always be ahead of that and if it comes in the way of music, music will win. I love the feeling I get when I'm on stage. And I love to see peoples reactions and get a response. And I won't stop no matter what I'm told.

Seems like you've absorbed alot of negative energy from your parents stresses - tricky being the oldest (responsibility falls on you - it did with me in my family anyway). Keep around positive people in positive places for awhile - leave your parents to it.
I'm mostly happy, I guess, but I let go of material goals along time ago - Iike I don't care for the latest of anything apart from music. I set short term goals I can reach and longer ones that I may not, Kay Sa Ra Sa Ra....

Thank You!! This video could not have come at a better time. I just lost my grandfather last weekend, he was a WWII vet and a very accomplished man. I have the feeling like i need to do something with my life because he did so much by my age and i have done so little. I have been playing music since i was 16 and wish i could have made a career of it. A friend of mine from school has a band that is signed, and very popular. 3 months ago or so me and my gf were talking about never giving up on something we like to do for anyone. I'm 16, I play guitar for 3 years now, and have a youtube channel (guitar covers) with small audience and she made me promise I would enter a music school, I have and the first two weeks have been amazing. She wanted me to feel happy and satisfied, and my parents paying me this lessons, is a real blessing. So continue on doing this Sami. I'll try to watch all your videos from now
