@DesireT0Kill The important thing is to get it EVEN.. not like you hear in this video.. p-i-m-a-i etc.... start slow and make sure each note is even in TIME with the next. Practice this on EVERY string. Give yourself 6 to 8 months of practice until it starts sounding very smooth. One sure way to know if it is played wrong is if it sounds jumpy. Should sound fluid
I have a question. I have played this piece called Recuerdos De La Alahambra. It uses 'a m i' progression in its tremolo, and all the other pieces which i have listened to also have this progression, but u are using ur little finger too.. So i wanted to know a few pieces which has that kind of progression.
Wow. I knew the flemenco tremolo was different, but I didn't know how it worked. I think I like it better though. I'm going to have to start practicing that. Thanks for the help.
My preferred and beloved instrument has always been the drums, but with a teacher as cute and beauty as you, I rather give guitar a try... I'll bought one ASAP.
By the way, love your smile and the funny face at the end! ; )
When ever I try to speed up my tremolo, I notice the notes shift from 5 even notes to 2 notes and a triplet. I think its a combination of the "a-m-i" notes rolling off easier (and faster) and my brain trying to shift things to a more 3/4 or 4/4 time. Anyone have tips to counteract this?
Thanks so much for this upload. I found it very helpful. I'm classically trained and thanks to your video I now know that there IS a difference between the flamenco and classical tremolo picking. Thanks again for sharing you craft we everyone.
Great lesson. I tried learning this while playing Isaac Albeniz' Asturias. But i think he uses a different tremelo technique. Very hard for me i should keep practicing on that.
now I really don'T like that right hand moving up and down !!

Your explanation is correct. In summary:
Classical Tremolo: Thumb uses Free Stroke followed by 3 notes on treble = 4 notes
Flamenco Tremolo: Thumb uses Rest Stroke followed by 4 notes on treble = 5 notes
Free Stroke is call Tirando
Rest Stroke is called Apoyando
Most often used pattern in Flamenco: p - i - a- m - i
Some other pattern used is p - m - a - m - i

Sorry i cannot see that you have talent to do tremolos so how can you think that you can 'teach' others to play correctly??
LaMinorTonu 1 year ago
@LaMinorTonu Bullshit. Any teacher can suck all they want but teach correctly. They simply will lack perfection.

yo tambien! ( me too!)
the only way to get round it is to stay slow for ages!
which annoys me because i just want to play everything else at normal speed! seach google for metronome and practice like crazy!

@jekyll1776 there is no tremolo on that piece. it is just thumb and index+middle

Great lesson, though! :)
