Newfies are amazing at getting in or out of things! My newf stands up and puts one paw on the door frame and the other she'll use to paw at the door know till it twists and opens!!! its amazing how smart they are. best breed ever!!! its funny cause her name is gracie too :)

my newfie does this too! we had to put locks on all the gates around the yard so he would stop getting out...they are too smart sometimes :)

One day, my Newfie Dana watched me turn on the tub water to take a bath.

That night, I wake up to a teeth-on-metal sound.

She ALMOST turned on the bath water, but I caught her just before she started turning it...

Needless to say, I keep my bathroom door closed now.

Mine worked out how to open the kitchen drawers... That was a messy day indeed... Now they all have child-protection on them, that helped :o))

He even open the refrigirator once, but now we have a new one, where the handle is vertical instead of horizontal... So he can't get his teeth around that one to easily... YET... :o))

my newfie did this with our sliding door! we never had to let him out becuz he would just do it himself! newfies are sooo smart!

It's a real nuisance because when we lock him up in his house, he manages to undo locks. open doors, windows and Everything.
