This songs and all the songs of Ravi Pradeep ji make me think of my own childhood memories when I was 5. I could see myself vividly walking outside in the yard barefeet and playing , while my mum and dad and grand parents listening to all these songs on Gramophone. thank you !!! I feel sad and happy ....
childhood memory's, when mom dad n grand parents use to hear this songs and we felt what all they like and today after 3daceds, loving same song and having tears in my eyes.
tHIS IS SONG ABOUT CAGED BIRD.hOW BIRDS AND ANIMALS FEEL WHEN THET\Y ARE DENIED FREEDOM IN NATURAL SURROUNDINGS,hUMANS EXPLOIT ANIMALS AND BIRD FOR THEIR OWN PLEASURE. peta PLEASE NOTE
@MrDhurandhar you make sound like we human are not animals, keep in mind while i support your position on animal rights and freedom, it is impossible yo return most animals to the wild even domesticated animals that have evolved over the years to depend and in some cases seek out our interaction with them... i have two dogs who are my companions i love them as much as i love my kids, they are part of my family unit
wish you can find the shri shiva chalisa sung by him as well as other chalisas....his voice brings life to the chalisas....great song here lots of thanks.....
what a great expression the song has upon the silent listener . Touches the heart, a man cant resist the pitiable condition of the caged bird .... two tears for the feelings of the poor bird!
Listened to this song in '58 the first timeand cildn't find about either the singer or the film it was from, but was not able to forget it. And one day while browsing 45 rpms in an Indian shop in Canada, I found the disc.
A LOT OF MEANING FOR THOSE YOU CAN REALLY UNDERSTAND THIS - TRY TO LOOK AT THE DEEPER MEANING OF THE SONG - THEN YOU WILL REALLY ENJOY THIS - A REAL GEM
My childhood song. I still hear it and love it. When will people heed the words though? I was in pakistan in 2003 and went to my father's grave. There,I saw a man with 50+ mynas in a cage. He was demanding 10Rs to free a myna ! So, u see the human hypocrisy.
Thank you for this priceless gem. It vividly reminds me of my own childhood growing up in Guyana where Indian songs are part of our way of life. Please continue to maintain this website with all of Pardeep Kavi's songs. I truly enjoy listening to all of his songs and compositions. A million thanks.
Great song!!!! Reminds me the days when my grand father used to talk of slavery in Mauritius to me. His father was from Bihar! I don't understand Hindi. But such a nice song can have only genuine meanings.
this song is very, very beautiful. It has a great and deep meaning.

Very meaningful! Very philosophical - using bird in a very symbolic manner the poet relates to human being in this worldly life.
