This video was so hard for me to watch as I'm currently 30 weeks pregnant and facing the possibility of having to deliver in just 2 weeks time if she doesn't have a growth spurt (she's measuring in the 5th percentile) but I'm so glad I saw it through to the end. What a beautiful little boy, you must be so proud. Thank you for sharing Fletcher's story.

@xxxtickledpinkxxx Hi how did things go. The biggest thing I learnt in neonatal was that past 28 weeks everything is done, the remaining weeks are just basically puttig on wieght so hopefully if anything did happen you wouldnt have too much of a problem.

Hi, as we were in neonatal we have quite a few friends who have had prems and have freinds who havent and I am convinced prems have a higher intellect than regular babies. They all seem just so much more switched on, I dont think the were born early, I just think they were ready

I just love this video! My daughter Hannah was born in 2006 at 30 weeks, weighing 2lb 13oz and this reminds me so much of her early days!

It took her a long time for her to catch up to other kids her age physically but mentally she is way smarter than the average 4 year old. She amazes me every day with her determination and strength!

Very cute baby! My son was 2 months premature and only weighed 2lbs 4 oz.. He's now 8 months old and weighs 16 pounds! Glad everything went well, they sure have very good guardian angels by their side.

My step sister is 30 weeks pregnant, and she's trying to go into labor. I've warned her about all of the horrible things that could happen, and that she'd have to go through.. but she doesn't listen. This video made me cry, i'm also pregnant, but only 10 weeks along. I don't know how anyone could WANT their baby to to be premature...

precious please do not give him formula with fluoride in it or water with its so toxic. Also breast feed as much as possible take milk out and feed with bottle mixed with formula drink lots of clean water juices of vegetablesn fruits.

THANK GOD FOR NICU NURSES!!! How is Fletcher doing? It's been over a year since this posting. Those following his story would LOVE an update about your sweet boy. Our grandson was born 12 weeks early, less than 3 pounds. It is a testament of faith to see a babe through the grueling but critical medical journey of NICU ups and downs during an agonizing time. Are there inications that you may have the baby early. Fletcher was 30 weeks when born. We spoke to the professor at the hospital last week on hin 1 year check. He assured us that 99% of babies born after 29 weeks are fine as everything physically has been done, they just need to fatten up so I believe your out of the danger zone of anything being wrong if he did come early. Less that 28 weeks and the babies have a little more fighting to do.

my son was born at 33 weeks. 3lb.80z. he is now 1 1/2 yrs old. born with a heart defect (cleft mitral valve) and is on medication. had a hernia repair surgery at 4 months old, Any preemie is NOT fully formed so theres always a chance for problems developmentally and physically. its really not about gaining weight-doctors dont know everything. hope that gives a lil insight. take care!

Your son is very very handsome! I'm also a preemie mommy. My first son who passed away was 14 oz at birth and my son that I just had 5/21/07 was 2 lbs 2 oz at birth and is now over 10 whoppin lbs!
