There are not words to describe how excited I am. After all these years...nothing can ruin this game for me. The graphics seem great, the plot...I have no clue (no spoliers please =DD), and IT'S COMING OUT TOMORROW!
honestly i dont like this no graphical approach they are taken. the 2d graphics in the other 2 were so much better. looks like they just half assed this one.
hmmm... somthing doesn't feel right. it lloks like almost all of the main charaters in the first and second golden sun won't be in this one.. i mean, like they were in their teenage years in the first two games, and since 30 years past they might be in their 40's! It will be a dissapiontment if they won't be in this one, and it will be a MAJOR dissapiontment if my questions are not answered in this game! For example: where the hell was Sheba born?!
The main characters in this one are the children of the characters in the last games, and the old characters are apparently playable for parts of the game from other stuff I've read about it. Matthew is Issac and Jenna's son, Tyrell is Garet's son, etc.
So they finished the lighthouses and now there creating some new stuff to create another storyline, personally, i think the first 2 were amazing because of their plots but this one wont be as good
@MEGALODIN i am with you, golden sun 1-2 were perfectly plotted games, and gs3 is more like an extended plot of the franchise..but its still good though i just hope that this "extended plot" would be a lot better than we thought :)
thank you camelot for destroying the feel of golden sun. developing a game in 3d for a console that can barely handle it is not worth destroying the original feel of the game for. All you are trying to do here is make the game more marketable.

I can freely admit if it's bad, except that I have to actually play it first before I make that call. I can tell you right now, though, that I will only be judging the game on its story. Some of my favorite games are on old systems, so a game doesn't have to have amazing graphics for me to enjoy it.

I liked the "pseudo 3d" graphics they had in pokemon and i like the graphics that are in this 3rd installment of the GS series. If you want better 3d graphics then you're looking more for games that are playable on the 3ds, psp, or console/computer games. It's a bloody DS game -_- you think there'd be uber awsome 3d graphics in the game?
@MoonlessMidnight Like I said I'd like perfected 2D graphics DS could handle, which I think would be the best way to retain previous Golden Sun epicness & cool fantasy adv. influences, these elements made it stand out from other JRPGs This new one just feels "less serious" to me, because of its graphics, t'is all about the atmosphere graphics create, NOT how technically improved they are. Remember Eclipse from TLA? Only a 2D sprite, yet far more outstanding than this 3D replica in the video.
I'm overjoyed they're finally bringing us the next installment of Golden Sun. Those video games rocked back in the day and the 3-D element just adds to the awesomeness.

it is released the 29th. they might have told you the 30h because their store might not get shipments on mondays. we dont get shipments on weekends so depending on where they are they might be getting it on tuesday and didnt want you coming in monday for a game they dont have in stock. ALSO it depends on amount of preorders if theyre gonna have it on time.
This looks like an awesome RPG but I'm not quite a fan of the turn-based battles. Never did like those because they took forever to finish. The graphics are okay though they're not as good when compared to Legend of Zelda.

@sOulrOckmelO let me rephrase....REAL 3d isnt possible without glasses. the way 3D works for all the idiots is: you see one way with one eye, and you see another way with the other eye. when you see through both at the same time you get depth perception AS WELL AS things popping out at you. the 3DS only has depth perception by using a layering holographic film. the glasses allow each eye to only see what that eye is meant to see, working more like real 3D. PLUS you can view real 3D at any angle

the battle system looks alot slower.....i loved the golden sun battle, please don't ruin it for me :S do what you like with the story and graphics, but keep the fast paced fluid battles please! :D

@BESTDEATHEVER64 You said you didn't want them to ruin Golden Sun by putting it on the 3DS...How else am i supposed to interpret that? And uh...Impossible? I guess all those gaming websites, and gaming developers who said that the 3D worked smoothly, and didn't require glasses were lying to us...

@IRSPONGEBOB yea i freaking said it would ruin the game, i never said it would ruin the series. there is a big difference. and yes i do think it is a trick that nintendo's new console is in 3D it is just a foreground layer and a background layer i know thats what it is. seriously why does nintendo have to release another DS every week. wtf is the WiiDS???!!!

@BESTDEATHEVER64 You should have been specific. And uh...Yes, that's what 3D is. Btw, this is the successor to the DS, not a new DS. This should be obvious because 3DS games cannot be played on the DS.

@BESTDEATHEVER64 Fad? 3D has been around longer than you think. This "fad" will be more popular then ever when the 3DS comes out. It isn't "cheesey" layering; if that's true, than why has every gaming developer who is developing for the 3DS, and professional gaming sites stated that the 3D worked smoothly, and that is was 'amazing'? And i shouldn't even address your childish insult.

look IRSPONGEBOB if that is your real name. 3DS is a gimmick its 3d graphics in layering thats all it is its not real 3d there is a reason you need the glasses at the theater thats the only way it works. just because your almighty developers and "professionals" say its amazing and works smoothly doesnt mean its not layering techniques.

@sOulrOckmelO let me rephrase....REAL 3d isnt possible without glasses. the way 3D works for all the idiots is: you see one way with one eye, and you see another way with the other eye. when you see through both at the same time you get depth perception AS WELL AS things popping out at you. the 3DS only has depth perception by using a layering holographic film. the glasses allow each eye to only see what that eye is meant to see, working more like real 3D. PLUS you can view real 3D at any angle

the battle system looks alot slower.....i loved the golden sun battle, please don't ruin it for me :S do what you like with the story and graphics, but keep the fast paced fluid battles please! :D
