  • Yeah.

  • great vid

    fedors sickk

  • doliveij, no need to pump up Fedor any more. Short of Dana (for obvious reasons, but only in public, privately Dana is also in the everyone camp), I don't think anyone that has any knowledge about MMA has any doubt that Fedor is the greatest p4p fighter of all time, with no equal. He is in a class of his own. Under him, there are the greats, like Barnett, Arlovski, Couture, GSP, Silva, Crocop etc, but he is the one and only.

  • The only reviews I bother watching. My friend is a big Fedor fan who had not seen Arlovski prior to this, I told him Fedor would get a submission in the 1st round, but I was wrong.

Felt a bit bad watching Arlovski in the post fight interview, really can't be doing wild shit against an accurate power puncher like Fedor and he found out the hard way.

  • But he didnt,so stop make wind upon your mouth, because the smell i disqusting.

  • It has noting to do with Arlovski being a prick. It's like rooting for a team. You want the team to win. Doesn't matter who they are playing. You root for your team.

Fedor is a guy I root for. I also believe he is the greatest of all time. So, I not only want him to win, but I want him to keep winning so I can witness what will be history.

Arlovski is a great fighter and I'm sure he's aight as a person, but that has nothing to do with it.

    Fedor all day!

    :)

  • great video

  • What did i say mma analyst? Remember when i said Fedor would knock out Arlovski on the feet? yaaa i told u man, glad u had a good expirience.

  • You were right. I thought it would be a bit harder, but you hit the Arlovski nail on the head.

    lol

  • Here's Karsten (MMA Analyst) @ Affliction just behind the ropes; captured from the PPV.

    Grats.

  • Got it!

    Thanks again!

  • We certainly agree on this one homeboy. I have been saying Fedor is the greatest mma fighter of all time since he won the Pride championship ... and people who say he has a weakness standing up are full of shit. His hands have always been unblievable. For people who dont believe, check the Gary Goodridge fight...

  • Also I think its the mental game that Fedor has. Arlovski knew Fedor took out Tim Silvia (the guy that knocked out Arlovski) in 36 secs! So he was hesitant to go for the kill like he use to in his Champ days in UFC. I was a causual fedor emelianenko fan, but now I personally think he's god of MMA! WOW....everytime I watch that fight now....WOW!

  • WOW! You know I never really knew much of Fedor? I mean I seen him in pride and in my opinion PRIDE fighters dont do well than UFC? Anyways I was ALWAYS a fan of Arlovski,so I TRIED yes I TRIED to call the upset. Well I dont know why he would use his Knees if his hands were doing for Fu(kin killer But hats off to Fedor. I realized that only a few people like him come around in one life time. Brucelee/jackieChan/TonyJaa/Cu ngLe/RashadEvans/BasRutten/And ersonSilva/GSP/miguel torres to name a few

  • The way Fedor landed that right hand on Arlovski reminded me the way Anderson Silva took care of Irwin when he threw that leg kick and Anderson grabbed it, with the exception that in this case there were no need for more punches. It wasn't a lucky punch at all, if you watch the fight again Fedor also threw a left hook right after but Arlovski was already on his way down.

As for Belfort vs Lindland... wow, he was so dizzy after the K.O that even tried to take down the doctor treating him.

  • Gread Video man.. Wish I could of been there, Check out our Review and SUBSCRIBE!!

    Thanks keep up the vids

  • everyone watching thought exactly the same thing as arlovski........namely "ive got him on the ropes, he looks hurt, im gonna finish this fool". so, AA was obviously wrong, does that mean everyone else was wrong too?? vadim, barnett, everyone was saying they thought he was in trouble, yet fedor in post-fight interview said he was fine the whole fight and just feeling him out, waiting for the counter. i dont think he lying, its just that his gameplan was baiting AA into being the aggressor.

  • great vid as usual, keep them coming. what about analysis of the last UFC...

  • i think fedor looked pretty bad last night, if AA had any type of chin he would be great.

AA thought he was anderson silva, and payed for it.

  • i thought he looked a little also... but thats how good fedor is... even when he has an off-night.. he STILL KOed ARLOVSKI!!

  • To all the people saying AA could have won the fight if he did not do the flying knee. So were all these people till Fedor won the fight back not the first time Fedor is losing and comes out victorious

If Fujita had knocked Fedor out from that haymaker, he could have beaten Fedor

If Randleman had broken Fedor's neck, he could have beaten Fedor

If Coleman had sunken in the RNC when he had Fedor's back, he could have beaten Fedor

If Arona wasn't fighting a Heavy weight, he could have beaten Fedor

  • ahh.. the logic of fedor haters..

"if andrei didnt lose, he would have won"

    SORRY!!! LOL

  • If Crocop had connected his LHK, he could have beaten Fedor

If Hunt had sunken in the Americana, he could have beaten Fedor

If HMC knew some sub defense, he could have beaten Fedor

If Nog had another round in their third fight, he could have beaten Fedor

    As for last night,

If AA had not gone for the flying knee, he could have beaten Fedor

Right guys?? They all could have won... but they didn't.

  • good video as usual. i agree.. it was clear bobby green didn't know how to throw kicks hahaha...

glad you had a good time!

  • I gotta start by saying AWESOME CARD... If you only look at fights one of the best cards ever. But on PPV the production quality was lacking.

Get rid of Tito, the backstage clowns, and the way fighters come on, their song plays, are introduced was very bad.

Overall comparing all 2008 - 2009 cards this comes in second or third. STACKED TOP TO BOTTOM.

  • Fedor: Greatest MMA fighter ever

He beat Arlovski, Nogueira (twice), Cro Cop, Herring, Randleman, and many others

There is no one more deserving of pound for pound fighter than Fedor. I just do not know why people do not give him the credit he rightfully deserves.

  • Because he is not in the UFC and Dana didn't say so.

  • Dana is the man, but I think he doesn't want to admit that Fedor is indeed the best heavyweight fighter in the world.

  • i dont know if fedor is the greatest of all time.

anderson is better, randy in his prime was better. chuck was better.

fedor is just good now kuz andrei made mistakes...ONE big mistake

  • You can make the argument that anderson silva is better. But randy and chuck? No. Definetly not chuck. Chuck and Randy were great, but were not on the same level with Fedor. That is specifically true in chuck's case.

  • I don't even think you can make the argument for Silva. Dude has lost to sub-par competition many times.

Dude gets caught and loses. Fedor gets caught and wins. Silva fights guys that people think he will beat. Fedor fights people who people think he will lose to. (foolish people, but people nonetheless)

If Silva was in AFFLICTION doing the damn thing, people would talk about him the say they talk about all other great fighters outside of the UFC.

" the how would they do in the UFC bs"

  • Yeah, I agree. I don't think Anderson is better than Fedor. Its just in a way I can see how one could make an argument for it, but I wouln't agree with their argument. The only fighter that I would consider replacing Fedor as the #1 p4p fighter is the winner of gsp-penn. But even then I'd still think Fedor would prob be more worthy of the spot.

Yes, the how would they do in the ufc is always brought up. I think most of those people arn't really fans of mma, they are just ufc fans.

  • yeah, but when is the last time silva lost?

he was MOUNTED, but lutter and powered out and then SUBBED him.

thats crazy. fedor is good, but as far as p4p, he pales in comparison to silva.

but the only way to be able to judge is if they face a common foe. but i think tito could give fedor a run for his money

  • im a big a silva fan and i like tito.. u cant be fuckin serious though.

  • chuck liddell in his prime was next to unstoppable.

randleman, babalu, vernon white, jeremy horn, tito TWICE, randy TWICE,. it was viscious

  • But the truth is Chuck in his prime was stoppable. He lost to both Rampage (twice) and Couture in his prime, in a pretty dominating fasion. Also, Chuck never had the all-round skills that Fedor does. He was a great striker and wrestler, but his ground-game wasn't steller.

And I wouldn't consider Tito, Randleman, and White as great, Tito and Kevin were near-great, White was only good. I would have put Mezger in their if we're talking about the greats.

  • yeah, but thats where chucks greateness comes.

he was able to keep the right where he was the best.

u dont have to have the best ground game to be the most well rounded. u only have to be able to keep the fight where ur the best at:) randleman could have been amazing. but i think rampage could take fedor. and even a guy like lesnar has a legit shot

  • True, but in order to be well-rounded, you at least have to be good in all aspects. And I always thought chuck's groundgame was rather mediocre. And this is what makes Fedor standout. He can take the fight where ever he wants and be comfortable with it, and in thecase with the ground, and even alot of the times on the feet, be dominate. Also, I have never seen anyone fight like Fedor does. Its like he is in this mystical, meditative state.

And I don't think page or lesnar could take him.

  • lol well rampage is a bit of an exaggeration.

but lesnar has the ability to do it.

he has the size(his size is more applicable than any other giant fedor has faced;as zulu,honng-man-choi and tim sylvia are awkward) and lesnar is a better athlete than arlovski. i could honestly see lesnar smothering him. but then again, lesnar still has a few un-answered questions; like his chin for instance. but until i see otherwise, i think lesnar would beat him. i still have anderson as best P4P in mma today

  • Brock, in a couple of years, could beat Fedor, but not now. None of the guys he has fought are as quick as Fedor, nor have the kind of hand speed combined with the ko power Fedor has. And on the ground, I don't see Fedor having much trouble submitting him.

You know there was a point when I considered silva being the best, but hes got some glaring weaknesses and his dominance isn't equal to Fedor's. Plus, with the way Vitor Belfort is looking, anderson may not be dominate for long.

  • i think if brock does wat GOOD wrestler does, he wont even come close to being subbed. but he tends to become overzealous and loses control.

the only REAL weakness ive seen in silva is his lack of wrestling and takedown defense. but vitor is'nt consistent enough. i wanna see him beat someone relevant. kuz terry martin and an old lindland dont exactly count. we will see after anderson fights thales. but as for now, i see silva as the best p4p with fedor being second and gsp sitting at 3rd

  • Hendo is a great wrestler and hes been subbed before, so has Mark Kerr.

Those are silva's glaring weaknesses, yes.

Lindland I think is relevant. He was a top 10 middleweight when Belfort fought him and although hes not in his prime anymore, he was still a very good fighter. If Vitor stays consistent, I see him beating most of the other top 10 with not a whole lot of trouble. His biggest weakness was stamina. But he is at his natural weight class now, so I dont think it will be a problem.

  • yeah, but hendo is a greco guy, and greco only plays a role in the standing portion of fights. and those are silvas ONLY weakneses.

while fedor has a few. he cuts easily for one. and the others dont matter at this point(mainly kuz they havent been exposed yet)

but someone like brock would give fedor a few problems. or even a guy like shance carwin

  • Man that's exactly what I said about Fedor after this fight, he looked human against Arlovski. Arlovski looked great, then he through that flying knee and the only thing he hit was Fedor's fist.

  • LOL bobby green. His fighting style was listed as "HOOD".

  • Ya and I still feel sorry for him.

Fucking dude Lauzon faking injury trying to rest up; green was working him the entire match right up until he got submitted.

  • He was very entertaining on the way to the stage though. I will say that.

If he knew how to strike, he'd be much better.

  • 10-1 baby lol

that was a very good night of fights

i believe ive never seen someone get knocked out like lindland did, and arlovski got it pretty good too, 2009 is looking like a very good year for MMA

    and yes...it is important

  • fedor is only 6.0 feet with a 74 inch reach and 230 size dont mean shit, I guess

  • Ahahahah Slap Em Ahahah!

  • Stopped watching around 1:34 :D

    jk, great video.

  • And just to drive the point home, here are a couple post-fight quotes from Fedor himself: "I knew that Arlovski was prone to making mistakes and at that moment I caught him."

"I had a feeling he was going to make a mistake and I was waiting to capitalize.I noticed that after he attacked he opened up and I was just waiting for his next attack to strike.

    QED.

  • Dude is a beast. Tell me, how many people woulda counter-struck that "flying knee attempt." Most woulda shelled up, moved or just took it. Fedor was clinching his fist and ready to throw before Andrei decided he was going to even throw it.

I no longer reply to people who question his abilities, accomplishments or place in history.

  • It's somehow "lucky" that Arlovski made a mistake and Fedor capitalized on it?! Fedor knew that Arlovski is often over-aggressive and leaves himself open. He knew that AA is most vulnerable when he prematurely thinks he can go in for the kill... remember the second AA-Tim Sylvia fight, for example? He timed his counter perfectly.

I'm sorry, there's no luck involved in that. Anyone who calls this win "lucky" is out of their mind.

  • Great event, but omg tito's commentary - he was saying all kinds of stupid shit like Vitor Belfort being 131 years of age.

  • I am downloading the event right now. I watched it without any commentary. (obviously) lol.

  • shit I spelled "once" wrong, my bad

  • Oce again, so you can understand this:

In fights with Fedor there is no such thing as luck. Only skill, technique, and the will to win.

  • Lucky punch? He threw a punch that was trying to land right on the button, and it did. How the hell is that "lucky"? Not only that, he timed it and placed it perfectly while Arlovski was in mid-air. That's not exactly easy to do.

Fedor is the smartest fighter there is. I guarantee you he watched a lot of tape on Arlovski and studied it in detail. He knew that Arlovski goes in for the kill a bit too quickly, and he knew that he likes to go for the flying knee, leaving himself open.

  • first of all I said fedor would win,it was a lucky shot and it was more of arlovskis fault that it was fedors, arlovski had him.

  • So was Rampage's ko of wand a lucky punch? And his ko over Liddell? No, they were perfectly timed counters based on knowledge of his opponent's weaknesses. The same is the case with Fedor's ko over AA. True, those first minutes of the fight were mostly AA, but I wouldn't say he was hurting Fedor. Fujiyta was hurting Fedor, and so was Cro Cop in those fights, but AA wasn't really. If the fight had continued, I see the same thing happening with the Fedor-Cro Cop fight.

  • Ok i read the first line of your response and stopped cuz I stated that arlovski was getting tapped up and then ko'ed for being dumb,I did not say rampage was lucky but it did take rampage 3 times haha

  • Don't get me wrong, I didn't imply you thought Rampage was lucky. I was just trying to use those examples to try and show that Fedor's ko is an example of a brilliant counter.

And funny thing is, there are still people out there who thnik Rampage got lucky with those shots.

  • Rampage actually looked like he was timing it,fedor looked like he threw the hail mary shot

  • I dunno, he seemed to have his fist ready when he kinda launched himself off the ropes and was able to hit Arlovski perfectly on the jaw.

  • arls had him on the feet but when he thought he was jordan jumpin from far distances it was over

  • lol haha Jordan jumpin. Its true, he was doing well on the feet. Would that have continued had the fight gone on? Who knows. One can only speculate. One could make the claim, but one could also equally make the claim where it would've turned into Cro Cop-Fedor where the striking became even as the fight went on with Fedor eventually getting the better of it near the end. Also, don't forget Fedor could switch it up and take it to the ground.

  • I thought fedor was going to win that way, just droppin him and getting on top and smothering arls,I had no clue arls was trying to become the next michael jordan

  • You're lucky you were AT the event and not having to suffer through Tito's "commentary." Why would anyone be stupid enough to hire him as a color commentator?! Just one example:

"Wow! Thats all I got to say. Vitor at 185 pounds. I dont know. I see him beating the, uh, what was it, Anderson Silva. I see him picking him apart because you have two great boxers, and, man, that was amazing. That was the old Vitor Belfort that we all want to see. Him at 131 years old. Hes back for vengeance.

  • lol

I heard about this. 131 years old. But they had Lindland as a silver Olympic medalist in the year 200.

    lol

  • Everyone is acting like fedor was dominating the fight, for christ sake fedor was getting his ass tapped up! hurt like 3 times and arlovski gets stupid and fedor lands a lucky punch, thats the truth

  • I'll say this again:

In fights with Fedor there is no such thing as luck. Only skill, technique, and the will to win.

  • Look I know you all think fedor is a god and you have your own religion for him probably called "fedorology" but the truth is he ws getting his ass tapped up! and I said fedor would win easy but damn he was hurt like 3 times and he was getting tapped up! then lands one punch and it is over!?!?! please that is luck

  • When I watch Fedor fight, I feel like I'm watching some higher being from another world.

Fedor was already the best pound for pound fighter in the world, but this cements it as a fact. Greatest fighter of all time.

Watch the documentary "The Baddest Man on the Planet" if you haven't yet (it's in six parts here on YT). It gives a very nice glimpse into his training and personal life.

  • dude while i was screaming in joy i spotted you standing just outside the ropes, i was holy shyt i know that dude from youtube.

  • Gilbert Yvel attacked a ref before... Maybe Herb didn't jump the gone like usual 'cause he wanted to see Yvel punished?

  • Or maybe he wanted to be sure that Yvel wouldn't attack him for an early stoppage!

  • I'm going to stop hating on Fedor now. I never really did look at his fights. I was an Arlovski fan, I can't believe he got beat like that. I had a bad feeling about this fight LoL.

  • Oscar De La Hoya got paid just to watch the event! haha

  • Great Video, this was a solid event, definitely one to remember this year, and had some things to cover in the MMA Roundup. Look forward to your video on the event.

  • Good review, I didn't see the event but your review was filled with good info and I could picture what you were saying. I can't wait to see Affliction 3 PEACE OUT AND BE SAFE

  • Fedor got lucky,rematch!

  • In fights with Fedor there is no such thing as luck. Only skill, technique, and the will to win.

  • Well welcome to reality because LUCK is what landed that bolo of a punch out of no where, not skill not technique,LUCK

  • As always, very good review!

  • Great vid, good sutff

  • I didn't think I would see Arlovski try to take Fedor down and didn't think I would see Fedor keep it on the feet! Wow!

  • Josh should've finished Yvel faster. But he did pretty good. He slammed him real good in the 3rd round. Barnett was smart to not stand with him. Fedor kept trynna get the KO from the beginning. Watch it fight again. He kept trying for the counter KO. Fedor is a motherfucking beast. Andre did well though, but people are making it sound like Fedor didn't KHTFO in the the 1st rnd.

Soko did as expected. I wish he proved me wrong. Belfort???? WOW! I thought the fight would be a decision 4 Lindland

  • Arlovski got KTFO!!! Knocked The Fuck out!!!

  • Couldnt agree with ya more bro

  • fedor is the best

  • machida is going to whoop silvas ass

  • Fedor beat the fuk out Arlovski's vampire tooth :)))

  • You're right. No one else is left for Fedor if in case he defeats Barnett. Hmm... Couture is interesting but its a mismatch for me.

You know what, Arlovski's strategy is really effective. Boxing + leg kicks to keep distance against Fedor is a good formula, but doing a flying knee without covering his face is a bad move.

Who are other HW fighers have good boxing/striking skills? Nobody else better than Arlovski I guess..

  • why the hell are you calling the pay per view affliction 2 ? this isnt

UFC with their stupid numbering of their events

  • Fedor is the man! You are the man, great video like always. I already slapped one!

  • boxing seems to be a really important part of mma nowadays.

why did arlovski go for the flying knee when he's been training boxing with freddy roach?

  • Because right after his "this is spartaa" kick to fedor's stomach...he thought he would finish him like he did to Ben Rothwell , only this was Fedor...he was baiting him and it worked... fedor has amazing reflexes...

  • Agree. It looks like it was a bite

  • That's hilarious.. I didn't even think about the fact the kick was reminscent of the 300 kick XD

  • the only thing missing was the pit...arlovski even looks like leonidas..

  • Lesson: Never attempt to do a flying knee with your hands down when fighter Fedor.

Actually Arlovski was the better fighter on the first round. Arlovski for sure has great boxing skills but its not enough.

I knew it was going to be Fedor's first legit loss until Arlovski attempted his signature flying knee, leaving his head open in the air.

Then... BAM! Fedor KO's the pitbull. FEDOR remains the best HW fighter in the world.

Fedor is the #1 p4p MMA fighter.

  • Arlovski was "winning" the round until he got KTFO...but it doesnt mean he would have continued to the whole round or fight, AA is one of the top heavyweights in the world and with his skills you cant have seen a perfect performance from Fedor, AA much taller, bigger reach, faster and better striker and hes the one who got KO'd. Yes AA was more aggressive and landing shots, but to me it looked like Fedor was baiting him until he saw the opening when AA jumped and BOOM he landed the clean shot

  • Fedor is like a shark - ic cold, patient and when he see's the perfect opportunity to finnish his opponent, it's game over.

Massive props to Arlovski but he would not have been able math Fedor's conditioning imo, and that KO, probably saved him further injuries.

Fedor had no problems with his hand I hope.

  • How'd you get soo close to the ring?!!

Did you see Kid Yamamoto, that was a trip.

  • the most boring fight of the night was Rogerio's imo...(though it had a great finish) , overall affliction's card was pretty good.

  • Ya, reminded me of his brother against Mir.

Dude didn't do Nothing; well that is up until like the last couple seconds of the fight.

The russian guy had moments where he looked like he was gonna nasty Noguera up.. then he went back into some sorta i'm scared to trade hits mode.

  • fedor owns....By the way crocop smashed his face to a bloody pulp ...Randleman gave him the suplex of death...fujita almost koed him cold... Arlovski did great but he was nowhere near of beating Emelianenko...it was just a question of time.

  • Maybe they all should start to work together ? Maybe then they will beat Fedor ? :DDDDDDDDD

  • lol I don't know if you saw this there but while Lauzon was taking one of his rest periods for his groin, might have been the third one, one of the rings cameras on the ppv cut to Green as he was trying to get Trump and Delaya Hoya's attention. It was pretty funny.

  • I didn't see the PPV but I hope Affliction does not go out of business.

  • Like I say, watch the replays if you can.. almost every shot was towards the top of the cup near his abdomen or the inside of his leg; he was merely getting grazed. The dudes wearing a CUP; I could understand if he had no protection.

Anyway, dude was fakin. I was pulling for Green.

  • BTW.

If you watched it on TV on some of these replays in the green vs lauzon fight; it was obvious lauzon was using some serious acting skills.

Like this dude should drop MMA and go to HollyWood. Green was handling him everytime upto the supposed "LowBlow" and looked to me like he was just trying to get some rest time.

  • My POV on that is its a smart move for Lauzon to capitalize the those low blows. I mean its true it really didn't hit his nuts but the act of it is very dangerous so its good enough for him to rest.

  • I think you mean 2009 is gonna be a good year :D

I agree with all you said. But I think that Anderson Silva is not that far behind Fedor p4p. But Fedor is probably #1.

  • Great win for Fedor and he is the best in the world, but this fight has no effect on that. Come on man Arlovski aint all that

  • Saw ya my man, was a good card.

    Fedor = the greatest.

Let's see what Dana says about this and whether or not Arlovski is still wanted back in the UFC after this.
