  • Try Usedjags.com, There the biggest independent Jaguar dealer in the south west of England! Got some really nice cars

  • song name: Aurora - Memories

  • @MySmegma

where can i find this song? i tried to search for it on youtube and on google. but no results :(

  • This is the definition of "car porn". Car and Driver could only ever hope to achieve this. Amazing.

  • hi medium95! Is it ok if you can shed some light on when this footage was aired? or was this ever aired on tv for promotion or was just used as a promotional tool for car shows? Many Thanks!

  • I'm sorry that I don't know about the background music of this film.

  • i've seen the newer jag models xk, c-X75, xj, xf & is it just choice preferenceor is it that i just find the older xk8, xj220, Ftype concept more sexier than the recent ones? the older ones has its front & rear narrower giving it its sexy lines in whatever angle you look at it. the newer models are just bulkier & just similar to other high-end supercars nowadays... the late jaguar chief designer Geoff Lawson is just amazing!

  • @WilliamCharlesRamez Well said!

The F-Type concept was the greatest jag design since the E type. 10 years on it still looks fantastic and better than the recently proposed F type concepts. Absolutely gutted that they never put it into production - supposedly because they decided to spend the money on a diesel engine for the X-type instead. :-/

  • WHAT'S THE NAME OF THE MUSIC PLEASE????

  • I spent 90% of my careear working for Jaguar as a mechanic and I never got bored of the XK or the XJ. Automotive perfection

  • hey medium95

Where did you find this video and do you know what city this is filmed in i think its Canada but some parts are from Chicago but not not sure would be great to find more info about the video if you have any thanks

    -JaguarcarsLmt

  • @JaguarcarsLmt Hello there. According to my memory, I found this video in Jaguar official web sites( Canada or USA).

I feel it was long time ago now.. ;o)

  • toronto

  • I absolutely love mine.

  • Can anyone fit in the back? How's the insurance? Any mechanical problems?

Thanks. I'm thinking of getting a black one with black hide. : )

  • That is what I have. it is tight in the back but it can fit 2 small people or one person sideways. It has had a few problems. Fuel pump and convertible cylinders. 2000 dollar fix. Still worth having. The comments and looks you get are all worth it.

  • Can anyone fit in the back? Not if anyone in the front is of normal height or if anyone in the back has legs.

Insurance, not bad on the 8, I'm guessing the R is a bit more. I'm 25 with a 2000 XK8 and a clean record and insurance isn't bad.

Mechanical problems? Secondary timing chain tensioners, Nikasil bore linings, hydraulic lines for the convertible.

So far I've had no real issues with mine. Find yourself a good independent rather than going to a dealer for service.

  • I am drooling over this... XK8 and XJ X308 are automotive design icons, beautiful!!!!!!!

  • Thanks for posting. The styling of Geoff Lawson on this XK8/R is phenomenal. The lines are in perfect symetry. Ian Callum's new Jag XK design made it look more like a fish IMHO (he had numerous hassles & hindrances during the course of designing it based on some of his interviews.) The new XK became a poor man's Aston Martin thou Ian's AM Vanquish is an absolute beauty. All i can say is this

XK8/R is a timeless piece of classic design that will last.

  • does anyone know when this was on the air on tv like what year?

  • looks like the revised facelift XK8 & R, note the chrome surrounds on the dials and rear lights. im sure some smart ass will correct me but around 2000-01. dont think its earlier because of the cosmetic changes to each car. hope this helps.

  • The flush fog lights came in 2001 and I believe these tail lights came in 2003, but I'm not completely sure on that one.

  • You're right about that because I remember when the first updated the XK in October 2000, even though I was only 3 months from age 10.

  • They changed the XK and X308 a few times. The XK was first revised in 2000 for MY2001. My dad and I had come to the dealer in Nov. 2000 for his '00 VDP S/C and I quickly noticed that both the XJ-Series and XK-Series had been slightly updated. The rear taillights from 1997-2000 XKs had red surround, but the new '01 models had chrome surrounding, plus reverse parking sensors(RPC). The XK Silverstone editions stood out to me the most, plus the horizontal stitching for the driver's airbag covers.

  • and what city is that????

  • At 1min 49 seconds, looks like CN Tower, Toronto in the background? Other shots may be Detroit as Ford was located there and owned Jaguar?

  • haha thanks i think one shot is from chicago too.

  • love the car and the music

  • nice music. anybody knows what the music is called?

  • you can't find an angle on this car that looks bad. Absolutely astonishinlgly beautiful proprtions.

  • I prefer old XK8.

    It is ever beautiful.

  • What a beautiful car. In my opinion, more beautiful than the new one except those wheel arches never looked right.

  • aaaaah old jag memories hey mate!
