@45spindle Yes that's the best way to listen to these, on my modern surround sound amplifier they sound amazing even though a lot of my old 45 rpm singles were in mono, but I have tried to add as many stereo tracks as possible, it's good too that a lot of these very old recordings are now being issued again as they were meant to be heard! In a book about female Motown singers, one of the Velvelettes said that when the group was founded, when they were still in college, there were originally twelve members. Pardon the corn, but to whittle down the number of personnel was the only way to keep the ship from sinking: I LOVE MOTOWN!
@simon4186 That's a fascinating thing I didn't know Simon, many thanks for commenting as it's quite rare to see comments on my contributions!! have you got "Motown The History" by Sharon Davis, I'd recommend that book to Motown fans, I've been collecting Motown since 1964!! so you'll see that I have always loved Motown :-) JOHN
