@oddyslay Yeah, and then the manga got bland. (Naruto doesn't have that same sense of emotion/drama in Part II b/c the author's more focused on making the Uchiha the central theme of the story.)

@oddyslay I can agree with you on all those terms. Chakra mode....is pretty weak, design-wise. (I understand Kishimoto gets his inspiration from DBZ; but at least it was subtle with limiting the "Super Saiyan" look to a glowing aura, golden hair & different eye color.) As for the Kages, I'd like it if they had a more intricate role in the series instead of popping up at the last minute & suddenly uniting to fight off an Uchiha mastermind.

@worldends08 the only way charcra mode can be salvaged is it is is used together with sage mode to grant naruto the combined sensory abilities and a longer time of use, possibly also granting him the Dōjutsu Kekkai Genkai that seems likely the Uzumaki clan possesses dormantly. If he does so I have anticipaed him getting a Dojutsu since we learned of the sons of the SOSP.

@worldends08 As for the kages, they have all been doing their job until now, their joining forces is a anticipated move by kishi that I don't really hate that much because it will be fun both from a story viewpoint and because we get to see how well they can co-operate.

@oddyslay From my viewpoint, the Kages' united b/c an "Uchiha" - one of the most exaggered clan members in the series - turned out to be the criminal mastermind. (If it was anyone else, they wouldn't have bat an eye at him.) If I were a "noob", I could tell the story irons out all the details about the Uchiha, & leaves all the regular folk with 2nd/3rd-rate character development - full of questions/plot-holes delivered in bombshell form.

@worldends08 The base of the story is that Konoha is one the result of the merging the two most powerful clans. The legends spawning around a confrontation of the leaders of those two clans who would naturally be massive. The use of such a name as a front for your cause strikes with terror, a viable weapon. Yes some of the character development is lacking, but among others of it's kind, Naruto is the best at it.

@oddyslay I know the gist of the Uchiha & Senju rivalry & how it originated from a "squabble" between the RikudoSennin's two sons. I just don't prefer using this war as a last ditch effort to expand on the other villages when I feel their presence/usefulness could have been emphasized much EARLIER in the manga.

@worldends08 I acctually find that a bit funny, or narutos viewpoint (manga and character) the only two actions tat have mattered is the akatsuki and konoha. Now it is revealed that this si not the case, without filler (the ultrimae work of the devil) it whould also have been very diicult to introduce people from nutural vilages you couldn't intorcude them as enemies, nor as friends. The alliance is a nice twist. I just hope naruto himself is needed to stop squabeling once the war is over.

@oddyslay Kishimoto's shown us himself it's not hard to introduce other characters from different villages. (Ex. The Cloud ninjas became more active [in their roles] right after Sasuke "took" KillerBee.)
