Though in that track it sounds like it could be generated by guitar distortion. I tell you man, Trent Reznor using distortion is like David Gilmour (from Pink Floyd) with a guitar: they can both achieve with a few notes more than most people ever hope to achieve with an entire band!

But people grow and change and must follow new paths. It's much better to leave a good thing how it was than to drag it through the dust behind you.
