  • I bumped to Forgotten Detroit sites couple of vveeks ago and it's so good to see that some these oldies'n goldies have made comeback. Hold on tight to these historic, national treasures!

  • what about fort wayne in detroit

  • They did a wonderful job restoring this place

  • That's wonderful! However, I wonder who's going to be staying there? What is supposed to attract the visitors to make it viable?

  • Wow. Good work Detroit. Next stop, the Michigan Central Station.

  • your right i didn't want to see the train station to close, i was a big train child at that time and still am. I miss it. my grandfather was going to the east coast to board the ship to fight in ww2.

  • They're going to tear down the Central Station. What a bunch of short-sighted idiots that run the city of Detroit.

  • @DFDalton1962 nobody's tearing it down. It's been standing there for 30 years now. It's not like its in the way of some other project, so no reason to tear it down now, especially since there has been so much discussion of how to restore it.

  • Wasn't it designed by Louis Kamper, the same person who designed the Waldorf Astoria in New York ?

  • yes it was by Louis kamper but i don't know if he did the waldorf Astoria

  • @LSHS03 actually he did not do the waldorf Astoria
