This song just crossed my mine today, after years. I loved the original version (House at Pooh Corner) as a teenager when I first heard it and was a fan of Loggins&Messina. By the time my niece and nephew were born and I became a world-class auntie ;-) I heard that Kenny Loggins had had a second family and added the final verse for "Return to Pooh Corner" when his son was born.I love both songs and sang them to the children in my life for years. Thank you for triggering those beautiful memories!
I'm only thirteen, so I can't really relate to all the adults commenting on this video, but I know my mum used to sing it to me all the time, and now I sing it to my little brother, and even just to myself at might to fall asleep. I hope to sing it to my kids when they grow up, and give them the joy this song brings me.
I used to sing this to my boys every night at bedtime when they were little. Now one is away at college and one is in middle school. Seems so long ago now.
Great Job! I played the song at the start of my pregnancy. We tried for 5 years to get pregnant. I found out the day after my birthday that it was a little boy (which we were very glad of.) This is the first song I played when we got back to the car. I still cry to this day when I hear it. Alex is only 6 months old. Got a long way to go!
Good Job! I used to lay in bed at night with my 4 yr old daughter. Mommy and Hailey would wait to see if they played this song on the radio every night. She would fall asleep waiting to hear her fave song. It will be 10 yrs since she died. I still cry when I hear this song. She will always be my Pooh Bear.
ok first of all i heard this song for the first time today in music class.secondly nobody knew who christerpher robin was. they all thought he was darbie!then the teachers said there old.then i said how i used to watch this orgianal one when i was younger.he made the song when he in high school up to like 2:44 . thats were he comes back to it when he has his own child.he made whinnie the pooh because while in high school as a senoir he didn't wana grow up.i learned this from my music teacher.
I remember when I was 5 and my dad would play this song (: Oooh memories that I wish I could relive. I love this video and song, thank you for posting.
My wife loved Winnie the Pooh and she loved this little song too, It reminds one of their innocence as a child. Only if we could go back to those simpler days.
pooh didnt particularly mean anything to me but every time i hear this tune my two neices are the video in my head playing in the yard laughing. It doesnt represent anything but the happiness of my family to me. It took my youngest niece to find it and show it to me. Now it is her representative for me on the days she is absent.
This was exactly what I was looking for, a happy reminder of my childhood, of all the magic I enjoyed. This is so beautiful and well done, it has certainly put a smile on my face and takes me back to lazy days cloud watching in the grass...
I'm 15 and my mom has always loved Winnie the Pooh and she passed it on to me and I love him. My dad played me this song a few weeks ago, and I'm now addicted. I absolutely love it and I hope to be able to play it on guitar one day and sing it to my children when I get older.
I have been a Pooh fan since I was a little girl now Im 39 and I still love him And It took a special person in my life that brought this bear to live for me ty My big Pooh!!!!
I always get a little choked listening to this song. My kids are grown now but when they were babies, this was one of the songs that I would play/sing to them when I rocked them to sleep.
Just read about the actual Christopher Robin on wikipedia and the whole story between him and A.A. Milne is sad. The actual Christopher Robin was weird and resented his dad writing the stories and he supposedly felt exploited by his dad.
So sad the actual Christopher Robin character doesn't represent reality given how many lives Winnie The Pooh and the other characters have touched.
Good to know I'm not the only one that cried listening to this song. It just brought back so many memories of reading the books cover to cover. It's why I got into reading...
What a wonderful video you have made! The graphics match the words so well! I used to sing that song to my little girls way back when, not there are in their young twenties. hmmph, I miss those days~
I named my son Christopher after Christopher Robin, He was killed 5 years
ago at the age of 26, his son & daughter love to hear this song & refer to it as Daddy's Song. Thank You for bring us back to Pooh's Corner & Christopher Robin. MM
@marymo368 So sorry to hear about your son, may he rest in peace. Good that he gave you two grandchildren. It's the worst thing that can happen to a parent and has always been my worst fear. My oldest son is 26 and we named him Christopher Robin, too. He will be 27 in March. He always thought his name was corny since it was related to Winnie the Pooh, but, thankfully, he has gotten over that.
Anyway, beautiful song. I always love hearing it. Take care.
Sometimes the world is a bit large for my little heart to bear and a tad much for my tiny brain to comprehend. Listening to this song while reminiscing the simpler times when my biggest problem in life was how to reach that higher tree branch in my backyard always make me sad at first but feel better afterwards. Great vid -the end was really, really touching.
DTV was an MTV-type program on The (good!) Disney Channel. It made music videos out of old pop and rock songs (mostly those from the 1950s through the '70s) and intertwined them with clips from old Disney cartoons.
oh ok thank you , and i just love this song , i listen to it at the begining of everyday lol before my greatgrand parents died they would play this for my all the time so i use it as a remberance type thing , but yeah this could probly be a '' DTV '' song
this song is so beautiful and i am like obsessed with winnie the pooh , but the song reminds us of how wonderful child hood is and how much love that some people still have i love it i listen to it everyday at least once a day , THANK YOU FOR UPLOADING IT
This song has a special meaning to me. It made me realize how much I really missed someone. For some reason this is not the version that I heard, I cannot find the other one anywhere.
My 4 year old son, Owen, loves this song and would sing along to it,repeating "Christopher Robin".This version is his favorite, he would ask for "The Original Winnie the Pooh" meaning your video. Owen in in his end stage of cancer, and I still play this for him.Although he is no longer able to sing along,he typically does open his eyes when he recognizes his favorite song. While on his Make a Wish trip,Winnie the Pooh shared some of his "hunny" with him. This video has brought joy to his lifeThanks
I dedicated this song to my sweet niece Emily who lived just over 2 hours after birth. I cried when I first listened to this song as it touched my heart when I heard the child's laughter. I imagined it being Emily if she was given that chance to grow up to enjoy Pooh and his friends. I was not there to greet her, but other family members welcomed her with much love and compassion. I"ll always remember you Miss Pooh Bear Emily, and especially when I hear your song. Enjoying Pooh Bears in Heaven?
I am so sorry to hear about your niece. My little girl is named Emily and she loves this song. My son does too. I play it for them every night before they drift off to sleep.

Thank you so much for posting this video. Winnie the Pooh has been very dear to me ever since the 4th grade, 4 wonderful years. I absolutly adore this song. Thank you so much. This song is so wonderful.
My baby who is now a teen was rocked to sleep many many nights to ""pooh corner I still remember the smell of her after a bath nothing better... she doesn't smell the same as a teen (SMILE) but love her just the same!
kenny's music is just the best. i feel proud to say that my city has a personal history with him. his daughter, Bella Loggins goes to my high school, she's so sweet.
I've always loved this song. It give you that warm feeling inside. You can't help but smile when you hear this song. I have a 12 year old daughter and to this day she still has her winnie the pooh for her first birthday.
I love this so much. Thank you! :.)

I've always loved this song. It give you that warm feeling inside. You can't help but smile when you hear this song. I have a 12 year old daughter and to this day she still has her winnie the pooh for her first birthday.
