  • atleast we have money to do research and get failed we r not like pakis going n begging for technology and frnd we r the country who has capability of launching rockets n sattellite not like pakis....still awaiting for 3g mobile technology

  • what have u got against our outdated fighters? ak-47s and outdated unguided russian rpgs? we have fucked u since 47 in all the 4 wars...what could u do with your latest weapons in all those wars? we fucked u in kargil with our outdated mirages....and in the next war will do so with our outdated lca...we at least have the money to spend for making an outdated plane...u dont seem to have that too...all ur (medival) weapon(if u can call them weapons at all) are obtained by begging from usa & china

  • India is just making its false claims for LCA in order to influence the the world due to the failure of LCA.LCA will be outdated by the time it comes out in full production and India induct it into the services completely by 2015. Actually its already outdated. What a waste of time and money.I can’t figure out India when it comes to projects like Arjun and LCA. The Arjun-project started in 1972 and now almost 40 years later all they have to show for are prototypes, same story with LCA.

  • @khanf7pg ya right - carbon fibre body outdated, delta wing - used in mirages and indian lca - outdated, kaveri engine - outdated, uses newest missile - outdated, flies at double the speed of any lca - outdated, lastly decreases radar signature outdated. oh yah kaveri engine - outdated......well now guess pak has somethn new. because whatever is new seems outdated to them. actually thier brain is outdated, find it diff to accept india is ahead of them....arjun is better than chinese tanks......

  • BUT @ImFlyingEagle, You folks still have not answered why your dumb Islamic Pakistan had to spend billions of dollars blowing up kegs of TNT (pretending it was nukes), or why you allies like China, etc had to spend billions of $ going into space, when both your people starve like dogs on the streets of your nations...

  • Bottem line is, All great nations have had many failures before developing defence systems - However, believe India better success than many others. i.e. Despite of "technology denial" regimes some nations impose today, while they themselves never faced such denial when stealing science and technology from ancient India - So that's kinda irony, isn't it? LOL (cont)

  • Many of the sciences used to derive products today, came from ancient India for example, and can be proved with historical references.

Suffice to say, just as gunpower was neither invented SOLELY by Guy Fawkes nor China, nor was A-bomb invented by a single nation-Go read history; And all of these had so many failures along the way. E.g: Pakistan NEVER even got its nukes to blast in 1998.. It was just plain old TNT; i.e. To blackmail the West that: "China is providing Islam the bomb!" LOL (cont)

  • @bestfighterpilot said: "India’s attempt at indigenous production of weapons has been a colossal failure... "

As much as I'd like to go 20 rounds with you on the history of defence tech and how it has works, I don't have too much luxuary; So suffice to say (and I hope you can get the analogy), neither the nuclear bombs nor missiles, were invented by JUST one nation - Nor was gun powder... (cont)

  • @ImFlyingEagle said: "...this aircraft but it is just a waste of time and money"

A lot of things are a waste of time and money; It is a waste of money for Pakistan to buy planes, nukes and missiles when 90% of the country cannot have a square meal a day; It is a waste of money for China to spend billions on sending a man to space when half the nation is starving in the villages; It is a waste of money for Europe to have armies and navies when so many homeless roam their streets, etc, etc, etc

  • @Suntas24 India’s attempt at indigenous production of weapons has been a colossal failure the likes of which do not exist in the annals of military history. India’s failed LCA is the stuff made for jokes around military headquarters from Brussells to Moscow to Beijing to Washington. India has been trying to produce a plane called the LCA. After a decade of design, Delhi has failed to produce a fully operational plane. The project is years away from its completion.

  • @bestfighterpilot The basic premise of this LCA is a vestige of 1980. Its older than probably the average age of an Indian AF active duty pilot. That aint cutting edge!

So get more exotic on the “requirements” and then fail at producing any results. Its called “hauwka”(greed). It gets you nowhere.

  • @AmericanRaptor1 What did Indian Air Force (IAF) achieve in twenty six years while consuming over $2 billion? the answer to that is Zilch; Zero; Nada; Nothing – except a failed project and a continued embarrassment in the shape ‘Tejas’. Tejas LCA (Light Combat Aircraft, also known as LAST CHANCE AIRCRAFT) has gone many trials and tests and there’s no sign of induction as yet. It has now been announced to enter IAF in 2015. almost a failed project.

  • @aviatormikehunter, Read my previous posts below and then talk

  • @aviatormikehunter India is one of the only major countries of the world that has been been unable to design and manufacture its own planes, tanks and missiles that work. The Key word is “work’. India has struggled for over two decades in designing the Tejas and it is not close to flight trials. The LCA, the Arjun, Trishul, Akash and other missiles are the same failed stories. It purchased hundreds of Flying Coffins which it could neither maintain nor fly.

  • @Askywarrior India's 25-year-old Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) programme, delayed by more than a decade, continues to be plagued by serious technical uncertainties and cost overruns, according to India's Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG).

A new CAG report states in 2010 that the LCA's development by the Aeronautical Development Agency, which is funded by the Defence Research and Development Organisation, is "beset with delays for almost every vital component of the aircraft".

  • @flanker35su The LCA now uses the General Electric (GE) designed and manufactured F 404 engine, which generates a static thrust of 80.5 kN (kiloNewton). But installed thrust being dependent on the mating of the engine with the air frame, the amount of air that flows into the engine (air intake), aero dynamism, cowling, wings, and so on, it can be lower than the static thrust. And all the require a complete redesign of this aircraft or IAF will accept it with limited capability only.

  • @aviatormikehunter It won't be long before we use our Kaveri engines. Two days ago it was successfully flight tested in Russia.

  • @aviatormikehunter As for as LCA is concerned its a piece of junk, India is a country whose every indigenous project ended in failure with the waste of thousands of failed hours. Now india wants to induct LCA as soon as possible in IAF even with its limited capability and defects just to save its FACE. IAF has decide to induct 20 LCAs by 2017 with limited capability & these 20 will be even less capable then MiG21 Bison.India is repeating the same story of arjun and Murat.

  • @Howard0Hughes India is just making its false claims for LCA in order to influence the the world due to the failure of LCA. LCA will be outdated by the time it comes out in full production and India induct it into the services completely by 2015. What a waste of time and money. I can’t figure out India when it comes to projects like Arjun and LCA. The Arjun-project started in 1972 and now almost 40 years later all they have to show for are prototypes, same story with LCA.

  • LCA has taken 25 years for its development and it still not ready to induct. The Tejas was supposed to have replaced the Mig 21s, MiG23s and MiG27s 20 years ago. The Tejas has yet to reach production status.Instead, it continues to perform endless flight tests and most of those are failed. Difficulties with flight controls & power plant continues to be plagued with technical difficulties, the worst of which was the collapse of the engine during high-altitude tests performed at a Russian base.

  • India is one of the only major countries of the world that has been been unable to design and manufacture its own planes, tanks and missiles that work. The Key word is “work’. India has struggled for over two decades in designing the Tejas and it is not close to flight trials. The LCA, the Arjun, Trishul, and other missiles are the same failed stories. It purchased hundreds of Flying Coffins which it could neither maintain nor fly.

  • LCA - The world's Famous LAST CHANCE AIRCRAFT... lolz

I don't think so it will ever come out from its testing phase. Still struggling with its Engine and Fly By Wire system. And Now IAF has announced that it will be operational in 2015 (not sure).

  • @Askywarrior There is no comparison between LCA and JF-17. JF-17 Is fully operational and LCA is almost a Failed project. Many experts believe that JF-17/FC-1 is more in a competition with MiG-29 only it being a single engine & since IAF the only threat to Pakistan/PAF has large number of MiG-29s the JF-17 would fit right in the PAF. JF-17s can provide a greater defence against them aswell as take on MiG21, MiG-27, Jaguars etc (excluding Su-30MKI & may be Mirage2000H aswell).

  • now IAF has announced that it will be available by 2015. I think IAF is try to get rid of it due to its very long production time and cost. IAF has announced that they will have only 10 aircrafts by 2017 which shows the failure of this project coz initially it was plan to replace MiG21 with LCA which is not going to happen. YOu could claim any thing about a plan standing in hanger since 1982. What is fact is known by every one.

  • Yeah LCA is actually a last chance aircraft...enemies have a last chance before it takes to skies ...once its up there that last chance is also gone...porki fuckers cannot come out with a plane of that sort even in the next 20 years...they keep on going blah blah and keep on loosing..they hold the record for fastest surrender in 1971 ..buhahahahahaha

  • The blame lies in big part with GTRE (Gas Turbine Research Establishmen) for failing with the engine. I am not saying it was an easy task to design and build the engine. Fighter aircraft engine's secrets are jealously guarded by companies like GE and other companies who make these and for good reason too.

The proud pakis here brandishing chinese aircrafts dont know that their aircrafts have russian/ukranian engines.

  • @sumanbasu no its not a failure friend..the kaveri engine is producing a thrust more than some of the western engines but the IAF wants the best there is..so they are still working on it ,,and now have collabarated with a french company for Maek 2 version whuich will be the best there is in the world in terms of power and weight.....BTW LCA is one of the best 4.5 gen plane

  • LCA ... The Last Chance Aircraft .... lolz

  • why do every comments have pakistan or pakistani. why are indians so obsessed with pakistan.

  • The painting is gay

  • Do you think the aircraft should be larger sized? I think it should be closer to the Mirage 2000 size.

  • Learn something from ISRO, HAL wasted Rs5500 crore rupees for nothing to show. CBI should investigate where is the money going??

  • An Air Force officer said: We have been given a mandate by the government and with this in mind drawn up an ASR. It has to be met. There is no point in the ADA pressuring us to accept a lower ASR at this stage. For years, at every meeting, the ADA has been saying that the Tejas will comply with the ASR.

  • IAF also shares some blame.......IAF has not developed "technical expertise" in design.....

The NAL is more like a University (very good "academic" guys).....The HAL is more like a "Workshop" for assembly.......GE Englines/US products will have sanction probs always...

Had IAF/NAL/HAL/Govt co-ordinated properly and brought in a EU partner(EADS/SAAB) at a early stage...and made a Senior Retired IAF Officer in charge.....from the begining......the case would have been different.....

  • The IAF has communicated that the Tejas performance, both in terms of thrust and its airframe qualities, was still a long way from what was desirable. The Tejas, as per the IAF drawn up ASR, had to be "much, much better" than the MiG-21s. Though the fly-by-wire Tejas has its plus points, data, including from the aircrafts recent low altitude tests at INS Rajali in Arakonam, showed that this might not be possible with the present configuration.

  • I really don't know, how do we compare Tejas which after eating 5500 crore rupees of Indian Tax payees ,still under evaluation/trial. According to "The Hindu" news paper of India,"In 2007, it was reported that empirical data indicating that indigenous Light Combat Aircraft Tejas, in its present form, will not be able to meet the Air Staff Requirements (ASRs), the Indian Air Force (IAF) has raised serious questions over the future of the aircrafts long term induction into the squadron service."

  • Most of the money spent in Research is not "Wasted".....NAL has made several by products like Wind mills, aircraft frame (doors) export by HAL to Boieng,Airbus........ISRO launch vehicles......

Glass cockpit technologies/avonics have been used to upgrade Jaguaars, ALH......Mig 27 by HAL...

Therefore "technological capability" is never wasted......one builds on ones failures also.....plus TEjas will be a success with EADS help soon.....

  • jai bharat

  • Bharath Mata ki JAI !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LCA the best in the world

  • The fighter plane in the world!!!

  • aerodynamics disastour

  • ugly plane

  • ugly lol

the plane is the lightest one created till now

    we need performance not beauty

is it going to any fashion shows

it is going for a battle

  • Fuck off!!

  • Even if the indian take alittle more time it is better to develop our own technology.

India already cooperate with the russian for a 5 th generation aircraft.

Once the kaveri engine ready then MCA will be also operational.

  • Due to the lack of technology and experience, the development of LCA is snail-like slow, very embarrassing.

Ambitiousness does not necessarily lead you to your goal, you gotta know what you are capable of.

Nobody is sure when LCA will be available to IAF, but I am sure by that time USA, Russia and China have 6 generation fighters of their own in service.

  • Are you human? 6th generation fighters?lol

  • 6th generation fighters would be autonomous UCAVs.

The US is currently developing several precursor prototypes of them. X-47B for example.

  • why that pilot didn't pulled the landing gears up

  • coz its a was a test flight..first flight...so as per the protocol he didnt do it.

  • Ours is a developing Nation, that had been slave for 200 yrs. Just give us 25 yrs out of that & no other Nation would had been even near to us.

We tried acquiring the technology from world, but when they refused, we tried developing it at home. We started from scratch, got to the basics & reached from nowhere to here & the proces is still on till the time we get to where everyone wants to be. Sometimes we failed sometimes we scucceeded, but we tried till we succeeded & we have succeeded.

  • @itsmeUVI I like this aircraft but it is just a waste of time and money for india. It has thousands of issues to be resolve…. Almost like the ARJUN project… Just for the show off during military parade … and just eat resources.

  • Just take your own individual example, how many years did it took for you people to pass out your high schools, get gradualted and finally start working??? How many tests and exams had you been through or reappeared to become what you are?

The same thing applies to any technology. That paradigm of Palanning, coordinating, designing, standardization, controlling and improving is everywhere and always there. You cant by-pass that.

  • For a project like Tejas, one should not also forget the reaction of some egoistic andand jealous Nations who are good for nothing but imposing Sanctions and conditions. Remeber what happened with BRITAIN's TSR 2 Fighter plane??? Anyways, once developed the plane has to be tested and required to achieve various Flying stndards that are set both on National and International levels, like Safety measures, minimum Flying Hours and a hell lot of other tests and requirements.

  • Well, for all the people who are madly, much without any iformation freaking out just to prove their baseless point - Developing and manufacturing any plane is not an easy job, Its takes years of planning, research along with vast resources. Once its developed, it has to be continously tested, certified and upgraded to meet modern days requirements which is nfact a very pains taking, timely and resourcous activity.

  • no disrespect but the bodyframe looks so weak

feels as if its gonna come off any minute

on a very serious note, i think even iranis have done a better job with their copy plane of f14, far better than LCA..

    however, i could be wrong....!

  • ha !! freedom of speech. it is something new to chinese and pakistanis. They come here and bullshit about whatever they want. We indians are not surprised, after watching chinese executions and pakistani terrorist bombings at the drop of a hat. So enjoy youtube and bullshit whatever you want !!

  • @kashsoldier - why do every comments have pakistan or pakistani. why are indians so obsessed with pakistan. They can never shut up.

  • The air frame is there since the time its development started & it is still there & LCA is scaling new heights as usuall.

By the way do u know what an airframe actually is?

Iran might have done good job with their product, congrats from ourside. But, we love this machine of ours just like our baby. It has just been pushed off from its nest, let this sparrow grow up & become a vulture. Very soon it will be defending the skies of its motherland.

You can put your money of Iran's jet.

  • Faint! 10 YEARS ago, I already heard India had developed a so powerful, mosted advanced plane called LCA. It is still in testing stage in the YEAR 2007!!!!!!!! What a joke!!!

  • lol, i also remember I saw news report about LCA when I was in high school almost 15 years ago. Anyway, great effort by Indian engineers, never give up.... BTW, why doesn't LCA retract its landing gears$wheels? Don't tell me LCA just can't do it.

  • lack of complete information, it is not in testing stage, it has been already introduced in IAF, on the other hand they are improving it.

  • wow the vid quality was great

  • I really love this machine (LCA Tejas) very much. It makes me feel proud of being an Indian. I get excited whenever I see Tejas scaling the hieghts of sky.

Due to its small and compact size, I have given it a new name "Chhutku Ram" and I am sure this "Chhutku Ram" is here to do big things and achieve new hieghts and records for its Mother India. Jai Hind.

  • can some1 please tell me where i could get this background score

  • Thanks for posting. But the video transition between different shots is very bad.
