sukhoi pak-fa or t-50 prototype is indeed a nice plane, but that's just a prototype... between 5 to 10 years will be required to begin 'mass production'.

definitely, it owe something to raptor and yf-23 in its design but it has undeniably the sukhoi's touch and i like it!

it seems russians doesn't want a too sophisticated fighter in order to get many of them and, avoid high-cost maintenance. keep in mind that number matters too (raptor is great but available in very few number : 187 !)

Yes the Sukhoi T-50 is an true stealth hunter.

The Sukhoi T-50 is an pain in the azz for our Mitsubishi ATD-X Shinshin and the American F-22 Raptor cuz the T-50 capabilities to counter stealth aircraft + the T-50 stealth technology are magnificent. We can not see the T-50 in the radar but the T-50 can see any stealth fighter and shutdown the jet.

Yukio Hatoyama travel to Moscow in october 17 to negotiate the purchase of T-50. Are exciting news here in Japan. :D

The great aspects of the Sukhoi T-50 is not only the stealth technology, is the combination of Russian anti-stealth technology + stealth technology + good price.

Because of using the whole vertical tailplanes as rudders the PakFa is more efficient and has less drag. It makes the PakFa better in extreme manoeuvering and it gives the PakFa a better turn radius and better spin control!

If you compare them with the F-22 you will see that PakFa's vertical tailplanes are smaller because of using the whole vertical tailplane as a rudder. This is the first fighter ever to use this kind of vertical tailplane/rudder!
