  • Wow, american walls are so thin! I would be scared if the TV holds on that wall.

  • Pardon my ignorance, but if you have to have a wire running from your existing outlet to the other one you installed then what's the point? Aren't there products that hide the wires ENTIRELY?

  • @amylchapman Thanks for your comments Amy. The kit enables you to have power behind your TV hanging on the wall using one plate, phish the wires behind the wall to the second recessed plate. Codes do not allow phishing the power cord from the TV behind the wall, and this kit allows you to plug in your TV to the recessed plate with power behind the TV. Using the supplied extension cord, you connect the bottom recessed plate to a surge protector or power source.

  • This product is not made for the European market at this time, but thank you for your interest.

  • is there anything like this in the UK???

  • Thank you so much! I did it, after watching another video on mounting my TV, finding studs and all that jazz. Thanks again, this completed my set up in my new loft. You rock!

  • Just ordered the kit should get it by end if the week. Will come back and review installation process.

  • very nice video, very helpful thank you.

  • Just what I was looking for thanks very nice vid

  • Thanks, this was very helpful.

  • I bought this kit. The video was very helpful. When I was tightening up the screws on the right side of the cover plate I had to use all my strength to get the screw to through the plastic holder tab. I am an electrician and used to using a screwdriver. When the gal in the video screwed the screws she just help the screwdriver with a couple of fingers ....no way...It was extremely hard. She also forgot the 2 screws on the left side of the cover plate

  • @7bigseon7 Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that the screws were a bit tight on the kit that you received. That should not be the case as they are designed so they can be screwed in using a manual screwdriver. We have made note of your issue and will make sure that product development is aware of it.

  • @DataCommElectronics Hi Guys thanks for the quick reply and for taking note of my problem (little as it was) You are truly a Professional Company and I have no hesitation in recommending you to all my friends. Thanks.

  • @DataCommElectronics I just recived my kit and have the same exact problem with the screws not tightening, complete junk, other than that the kit wasn't too bad.

  • I enjoyed the video. Nice job and nice information however that could be a code violation! check your wire gage!

if 20 amp breaker kills outlet you must use 12/2 wg(YELLOW WIRE), 14/2 WG is WHITE and will work fine if a 15 amp breaker kills outlet!

improperly sized wire violates National Electrical Code!

    whose intention is FIRE PREVENTION!

  • @ranthewireman

Please note that the product is design for residential use only so there is not a code issue. The 50-3323-WH-KIT comes with a U.L. approved 15 amp receptacle and 14/2 with ground building wire. The product is designed for use with 15 amp circuit breakers only.

  • @DataCommElectronics

I am working on a home that was wired with 20 amp circuits on recepticles in bedrooms. in which case would be in violation. The most common is 15 amp circuit but an installer should verify the circuit breaker is 15 amp then I see no problem.

  • AHA```Wooohoooo I finally found what I was looking for...ok britt...As soon as I get the kit Girlfriend I need to come back here re-play the video do this step by step with ya....and if I get my pretty little hands electricuted...O_O I will sue you for posting this how to do yourself video lmao...

  • very good video !

  • @LapseOfLuxury I know,I'm a Class B General Contractor in the state of California and every wall I built or opened up always had a fire block between the 16" o.c. studs.

  • @itsmegino So, then, being in CA, I could have some trouble installing this?

  • Comment removed

  • @itsmegino It's code in CA to have fireblocks between studs at about 4' high.

  • @itsmegino That is not the case and we have had no complaints from any customers who have run into that problem. It could be code where you live, but again we have had no reports of this being an issue.

  • sucks for me i have a block going across the middle so if i try to put some cables through the top hole it'll just get stuck half way down

  • thanks for sharing!

  • Before you slip any wires through the top portion tie a weight such as a small padlock so the cable remains straight and easy to find at the bottom hole.

  • DId U see that? @ 3:55 somebody passed her the cable behind the wall!!!! But it's a great Vid non the less I know u did it for time sake :)
