I study weather and firestorms are actually very rare phenomenom, in fact, the firestorm can take the shape of a fiery tornado at times :D

Maybe not 'cool' in a positive way - but yeah, I get what you mean - a very impressive force of nature. Humbling. I lived in the north suburbs so we were on alert but never evacuated. We could see the fires coming - it was like Mordor. Red skies for days. Ash raining on us. Spot fires in our backyards. Panic and awe and also thrill.

But 4 people died. Our friend's street was destroyed - except for their own house. There was and is a lot of fear, anger, loss and resentment.
