Anyway, I think this is a great film. I just hope that for those that dislike it don't hate the film merely because Ebert did.

But in the end she gets to live happy with her own daughter. Yes, I know there will be sequel in the future and she may in fact pay for what she has done. However, despite her violence she is still granted peace at least for a little while. And don't get me started with Inglourious Basterds where the heroes were arguably just as bad as the people they were killing. That movie was great but still.

After seeing this movie I would have to respectfully disagree with Roger Ebert. His review of this film seems a tad hypocritical giving the fact that he has praised Quentin Tarantino films. And Kick Ass is almost a la Tarantino. Why is glorfying violence okay for Tarantino but not for Mr.Vaughn? If Hit Girl was an adult there would not be this much controversy. But isn't that suggesting that brutal violences is okay for adults but not children. Isn't violence bad regardless of age?
