  • anyone "emo bashing" and playing the "im such a punk kid know it all" card in here is an ass. emo is a dumb term. so is hardcore. and so is punk. emo branched off the hardcore punk movement with post hardcore bands. lame shitty boy bands like fall out boy got the title branded on them by the media just as embrace and rites of spring did when it was first used. it stands for "emotive hardcore" so in a way ian, along with guy picciotto, is the founding father of emo....

  • Vaccines do a very very good cover.

  • Meh. It'll do if the original or the Cramps cover aren't available.

  • 3 peoples Wear White

  • Best.

  • there labels arnt for me !!!! are they for you ? (7 seconds )

  • Dude... u'll find it emo in my ass...

  • @DaDaBJC haha faggot

  • NO emo would jump around like that!!!!!

  • @LukRobBurns anyone "emo bashing" and playing the "im such a punk kid know it all" card in here is an ass. emo is a dumb term. so is hardcore. and so is punk. emo branched off the hardcore punk movement with post hardcore bands. lame shitty boy bands like fall out boy got the title branded on them by the media just as embrace and rites of spring did when it was first used. it stands for "emotive hardcore" so in a way ian, along with guy picciotto, is the founding father of emo....

  • HIM? in a minor threat vid...the fuck ?

    get the fuck outta here.

  • Minor Threat and Fugazi put me in a good mood.

  • lets FREAKOUT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • GREAT :)

  • i never knew they covered this

  • you gotta look up tallest man on earth an folsom

  • OMg, you think that HIM is a good band and you post that crap on here? Damn, i wish kids were still allowed to beat their children.

  • @MrThorp1 hahaah. true that.

  • ***and about this video, the sound is pretty good, too bad the filmer focused on the pit the whole time but we are lucky to have even this, so thanks for sharing!!!

  • Keep AFI off this page of Minor Threat... (and greatest musicians?.... hahaha, you are on crack then and know little about music outside of your tiny scope, you are entitled to your opinion, but it has ltd. knowledge of music then... the only reason you checked this out was b/c AFI gave it a shout out obviously). This band inspired countless, along with Ian in fugazi and all of the quality bands he brought through his label DISCHORD. See the original by the Standells as well.

  • the greatsest musican in the world Mr.Davey Havok was influenced by this and this is y hes straight edge!!!!!

  • @xSingForTheSorrowx

Greatest muscian in the world? Isn't that a bit of a stretch? Don't get me wrong, I like old AFI just fine, but greatest muscian in the world is a bit of a hefty title to put on his shoulders...

  • @theravendemon well the title belongs to two beautiful people Davey Havok and Ville Valo and I think they can hold the title quite well.......

  • @xSingForTheSorrowx well no, they arent really good musicians when compared to the greatest musicians of all time.. but i dont dislike them, AFI has been one of my favourite bands since i was a kid.

They were better as punk than what they are today..

  • well yes the new AFI is prepy boy band-ish,but HIM and Ville Valo have always been good!

  • still not the greatest musicians ever.

bob dylan, john lennon, neil young, john lee hooker are just some of the greatest ones the las century.

though, as i said. i like HIM and AFI :)

  • @najtrows You better be referring to old A.F.I!!! cause new A.F.I sucks so much cock

  • @xSingForTheSorrowx You're clearly mildly retarded. The guitar riffs in ANY afi album is still rocking. They've just matured as people and musicians. And HIM should only be played at funerals. Ville Valo and Bam are totally faggets with each other too... not that there's anything wrong with that.

  • When was this show?

  • 25 years ago. It is still the bomb!!

  • Ian smokes weed now

  • They never liked the Straight Edge tag.

  • straight edge is

    no drugs

    alcohol

    and primiscuisc sex

but back then tobacco wasnt considerd a drug

  • well in Out of Step McKay said don't smoke if you listen carefully...

  • who the fuck said this was emo??

throw a brick at him please.

  • @jayveeur anyone "emo bashing" and playing the "im such a punk kid know it all" card in here is an ass. emo is a dumb term. so is hardcore. and so is punk. emo branched off the hardcore punk movement with post hardcore bands. lame shitty boy bands like fall out boy got the title branded on them by the media just as embrace and rites of spring did when it was first used. it stands for "emotive hardcore" so in a way ian, along with guy picciotto, is the founding father of emo....

  • is it minor threat who's done the original on this song or is it a cover?

  • Cover of the Standells version (Theirs is much slower)

  • Minor Threat was Straight Edge, (vegans & drugs, alcohol, tabacco free). People.

  • Not vegan necessarily, just no drugs, tobacco and alcohol.

    Sxe

  • I think really only Ian was and is. And he is a vegan so....

  • Im pretty sure they all were straight edge, but i may be wrong

  • Possibly. But I do know that they want nothing to do with the "straight edge" movement.

  • @gripper61 i think they liked the lifestyle and wanted the lifestyle but never intended it to b given a name

  • This is Hardcore Punk people

  • Man who's to say who's the better man? I'm only doing the best I can!

  • where can i download this song?

  • soulseek

  • OMG <333333333

  • such a fucking classic, Minor Threat will always be one of the best.

  • if you think this is emo, you seriously need to die lol

  • @abc22294 lol kind of ironic how you call him a Nazi when you are saying death to a whole race.

  • @abc22294 dumbass, Nazi's hated Marx and Lenin. Oh, and also, fuck you!

  • @abc22294 Your fucking stupid and obviously didn't listen in history class. Communists and nazis are very different. Nazis have a very nationalist stance where as communists are about having everyone getting a piece of the pie and community, hence the name communists, which is good in theory but will never work in action. Whereas naziism is a mess of racism, nationalism and socialism. So i suggest go back to school....

  • @DeeDeeRamone999 anyone "emo bashing" and playing the "im such a punk kid know it all" card in here is an ass. emo is a dumb term. so is hardcore. and so is punk. emo branched off the hardcore punk movement with post hardcore bands. lame shitty boy bands like fall out boy got the title branded on them by the media just as embrace and rites of spring did when it was first used. it stands for "emotive hardcore" so in a way ian, along with guy picciotto, is the founding father of emo....

  • @DeeDeeRamone999 Punks are often to fixed with what to call music. If it's emo, punk or frikkin techno, who cares? Enjoy it or don't enjoy it, without giving a shit what pple label it!

  • Awsome song to skate to!

  • come on you got it from zero new blood

    lol

  • emo?

minor threat were the founders of hardcor/straight edge

  • second half sorry

  • Best HC Band ever!!!

  • (also i knew ths wasn't minor threat btw) but i agree with abbienormals21 not all good guys seem to be good guys at first glance rock on 2 you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @xxmyxxpoetryxx your face is real emo.

  • you wouldn't happen to remember what order all your ninor threat videos go in? since they're decent quality, i wouldn't mind watching them in order. :)

  • I knew that it wasnt a Minor Threat song. I see where youre going with that white collar thing.

  • I'm not too sure, but is this song anti-racist? Is it against the thought that all people not white are criminals? From the first time I heard this, I always thought that.

  • Well I always thought it was about being judged before people get to know you because he's saying that sometimes good guys don't wear white, or in my words, good guys don't always seem to be good guys at first glance.

  • Does anyone know that this song is basically R.O.C.K. in the U.S.A, by John Mellancamp (which is NOT basically What I like About You, by the Romantics)... Ahh, the wheel goes round and round...

  • Jeez freind...I think this song was written 15 years before the Romantics formed. Dunno much about rouns an round though

  • The Standells, a sixties California rock group wrote and recorded this one hit wonder back in 1966. Sounded better then.... it Really did! this singer can't even remember the lyrics. dufus.

  • ok not a one hit wonder group. they also recorded "dirty water" a big sixties hit. duh.

  • don't dis minor threat dude.

  • On which album can I find this song?

  • Complete Discography. Get it.

  • minor threat complete discography is where you can find good guys don't wear white.

  • Love this.

  • would've been nice if the jackass behind the camera focused on the band not the stage divers

  • I want to be there.
