Hi I like Halo more than SC2 because I don't know what's going on in a SC2 game, but Halo is easier to comprehend so I can actually watch it without going, "What the hell is going on?" and instead be like, "Oh wow, he just blained that guy so hard, sick play!" and know exactly what I'm talking about. Or maybe it's just because I've played Halo a lot more than any game similar to SC2.

Halo is definitely a slower and easier game than SC2 imo. However I think FPSes in general such as Counter Strike are WAY more fast paced than SC2. SC2 you can take it slow there's no twitch-play precision demand. In SC2 there's micro for sure but a lot of it comes down to mechanics, positioning, and reading your opponent.

I love both games, but SC is not as fast as Halo. For both games you need to make fast decisions on where you go on the map, taking in account your opponent, and make fast decisions on what force you use to attack and how(i.e. what troops in SC, or what weapon in Halo). But now in addition to that, Halo is a twitch game. So you need to spot your opponents very quickly, and aim accuratly and quickly, taking in account your distance, your weapon, your movement, your oponents movement, etc

Halo is a really easy game, and something with aim-assist should not be considered competitive. At the same time, I find it difficult to look at SC2 as competitive. Blizzard is not supporting and developing their game for esports, and most of all, it's NOT a team game. As popular as SC2 is right now, I find it hard to take serious because it is 1v1.

I've played tonnes of console/fps games and no games require the same amount of extended attention span, on-the-spot decision making and actual mechanical speed than Starcraft Brood War. Starcraft 2 might be easier on practically every area - but it's still leagues ahead of the mainstays of the FPS genre like Quake III, CS1.6 and I shouldn't even have to compare it to CoD:BO, and Team Fortress 2.
