had about three long spells in this game, but the way I became attached to the world and the people was so amazing, special, and real that i don't think another game will ever be able to replicate it. Thanks for an amazing 3 years FFXI, i will never forget them.

You can tell when you listen to both versions of this and the OST.
i remember starting in bastok on ragnorok and thought the game died, i search world. everyone was windy or sandy. i lol'd. then i switched to hades and the same thing, everyone was windy or sandy.
I could never figure out why people liked the other nations more when Bastok was by far the easiest to navigate, had less congestion, and the outside mobs were the best for leveling up low levels. Oh well Bastok will forever be remembered by me. Good times in my life playing this game.
@GameMasterSoko I feel the same way, except about San d'Oria. I guess it's the same for all of us, our noob experiences will always be our most fond memories of the game.
@GameMasterSoko Yeah it's a matter of opinion. I find San d'Oria most easy to navigate, has the easiest mobs and is much less congested. Not to mention I hate the whole Drachen Falls thing blocking your way to Bastok from North Gustaberg. Gotta' run all the way through South Gustaberg just to reach it before you do the flower quest... such a pain!
@WeissberV although this is two years ago but I will tell you that I love the mmo itself and the entire world of vana'diel was a beautiful fantasy to play and interact with friendly people. so, the friendly, sweet mmo players are now dead :/ (may that great bondful memorie rest in peace and that new great memories may be created in Eorozea or however it is spelled lol)
It still is a great game. I'd recomend everyone at least give it a try. We have a lot of fun ^^
