People should be allowed to bring bags of rotten tomatoes to the debates so they can throw them at the candidates of their choice, but they should not be allowed to boo. It's just not polite.
The rule was no applauding for Ron Paul. The memo said nothing about applauding for Mitt and Newt, no one is applauding for them. All these regarding the secret counting of votes, registering by a certain time, or not applauding is all for Ron Paul. The media doesn't want the public to realize everyone is voting for Ron Paul.
Fuck audiences, the debates should be as disconnected to a live audience as possible. Nothing to do with freedom, all to do with emotional appeal being cut from the responses. Simple as that.
lol.... like THEY get to dictate how an audience reacts... if the audience decides to be subservient then that is their choice, but the FACT of the MATTER is if the audience wants to react there is not a damn thing they can do about it.
I think the comments given simply show the lack of evaluation by many Americans. Emotions are great unless they are eclipsing intellectual evaluation of the different positions. We the American people have been led to use our emotions to give credence to debate positions. This is short sighted and wrong. We should use the candidates character as the lens through which we evaluate their statements. Only 1 of the candidates has moderately good character, the others have demonstrated otherwise.
I think audiences should Not be allowed to react. I also think Ron Paul should be given his proper place as frontrunner. Only the media is portraying Ron as anything but first. Our eyes are opening!
@GrievanDark I doubt it. I think this has more to do with the audience not being able to woot and boo when Ron Paul is overlooked again. This would bar the audiences ability to balance things out.
I would like to see a written debate where the candidates are posed questions in a serious manner to be addressed in writing primarily. Why? Because double talk is harder in text. Its harder to get away from the topic at hand and get away with it.
I wouldnt mind them reading the answer or giving another spoken answer, as long as I could get a serious look at a written answer as well. So that those of us who want a serious response can find one. But that is a pipe dream. It would be too ethical.
I say NO ! since the audience is carefully handpicked and probably bribed to aplause or boo the nominee that agrees or disagrees with THE MOTHERFUCKING NWO ZIONISTS BANKING COCKSUCKING WAR MACHINE HELL BENT ON ENSLAVING US ALL AT ALL COST EVEN IF IT COMES TO DESTROYING HUMANITY AND THEMSELF ALONG WITH !!! wake the fuck up...it's all a side show !!!
A little false flag from CNN to shy their audience away from the bull they have been spouting the last few weeks. 99% of American politics is corrupt 99% of them call it within the rules…………what a joke!
"Good evening. I'm Wolf Blitzer, a die-hard Zionist, with a huge, powerful megaphone with which to not only send the entire country to war, but to bring you great shots of shit blowing up, complete with narration. When we come back from break, we'll show you excellent graphics of Iran's non-existent underground complexes, used to plan their attacks on Israel and the US."
@TheImpeacher in a debate two sides are represented, and two groups of people are selected to discuss their points and respond to each others points.two groups of around three are easier to moderate than two groups of three and 500 other people.if you let more than those two groups speak,it will go from being a debate to being a clusterfuck of people trying to shout the other side down.
They are going to allow the audience to react, as "long as they are respectable." Is Caffterty going to prod them with cattle tasers if their free speech doesn't measure up to CNN's "standards?" Put Wolf back on. At least he knows where the hen house is. This lump of lard does 5 minutes a day of television, maybe somebody could buy him a suit coat. Who does he think he is, Phil Keating?
i liked the nbc debate better because it was quieter, even though seeing brian williams Droopy Dog face makes me depressed. audience reactions are sometimes unfair, as the florida reactions in the past were very mean to Dr Ron Paul when he told truth behind 9 11.
No. Because when you have a evangelical crowd who applaud infidelity and hunger for war with other foreign nations, they tend to paint alot of Americans as ignorant, war-like people.
We're a laughing stock because of the way our media has handled politics, including the candidates themselves.
@Frequencitee Yeah, you're right, individuals don't change anything. Like SOPA and PIPA. I mean, the initial movement to stop those bills was all a government conspiracy, right? It definitely wasn't people, en mass, that stood up and protested the bills.
Should Debate Audiences Be Told To Keep Quite Or Allowed To Respond? No they should be made to stand in quiet lines with their books ready to burn them, WTF????
No audience because the biased media selects a biased audience according to biased proportions. But we should address the inequal speaking durations first (turn off mic when time is out, simple).
Unsure. Some audience responses shocked the hell out of me, booing the Golden Rule? Booing the truth about WHY America was attacked? Okay fine they can and should react so the world could see how part of the U.S. is messed up x_X;
People should be allowed to bring bags of rotten tomatoes to the debates so they can throw them at the candidates of their choice, but they should not be allowed to boo. It's just not polite.
