This isn't really too bad, I'm sure you get 40+ frames without fraps. I have a i5 @ 2.5-2.8Ghz with turbo boost something, 4GB RAM DDR3, ATI mobility radeon 5470, I really want to record me some flights but I don't want fraps to kill it so I wonder if I'll be ok with those specs at max settings too when recording, by the way I use FS2004, FSX needs way more power than FS2004 but damn nice vid anyways.

@NitroExplosion88 You can't replace a graphics card in a laptop since most of the time they are not detachable. It should run FSX alright though. I would suggest looking for another one since the GTS360 isn't the greatest video card. But the processor is fine :)

@vikinggang Everything is great apart from that graphics card. It will severely affect your CPU with its low performance. Try getting a better graphic card, at least an ATi Radeon HD4850 or a nVidia GTS 250/GTX260.

The GT210 is a lot better than the GeForce 7150M. The processor is actually pretty good but the graphics card will slow it down a bit.. I think you'd be able to play with my settings just as good as this.. :)

@learjet Not that good I'm afraid. That card is very old and bad. That processor sucks almost as bad as an Intel Pentium IV and you should really get Windows 7 on your laptop, FSX performs much better on 7. And since you're stuck with that laptop you should grab what you can get.

Just a heads up, the 9600GS isn't enough on a laptop with only dual core 2.3ghz for FSX.

They have tons of AI aircraft (AI aicraft = planes that are other planes than the one you are flying. if u go to project ai you get more options other than orbit airlines etc..)

hey man i had the same problem with the texture. Go to the Options and click customize, it should open to a box called graphics, there will be other tabs. Turn your global texture resolution to max so all textures are fine. Hope this helps.
