  • awesome! a77 sony is the way I like it!

  • A77, i have one. :)

  • i want the bag of the a77 ;)

  • lol the buffer is full cuz the camera's can't write faster on the extreme III, with the d5100 for example which has only 4 FPS it can shoot a lot longer i'm not saying the d5100 is better. it's just that the high FPS camera's just do much faster work than the memorycard can progress. would be cool if the companies would make bigger buffers for high fps camera's so they won't pause to save pictures. since extreme III is about the fastest card around these days.

  • I WAN A77

  • sexy

  • What is the best and cheap DSLR Camera?

  • @itsxSEAANx pentax k-r....kx

  • @itsxSEAANx Watch the Cannon 550d vs Nikon 3100 video :)

  • @itsxSEAANx a77

  • Comment removed

  • awesome

  • both have Fastest Shutter Speed 1/8000 sec.

then, why nikon is better in shutter mode

  • @rulix36 because you're absolutely fucking stupid and look at pointless stats about the MAX speed of a focal plane shutter on a camera.

  • Comment removed

  • I want a bag pleas

  • Canon t3i or Sony a55?

  • @itsxSEAANx Canon t3i

  • Sony Sensor sounds like crap :)

  • did anyone notice the caterpillar on the d7000 @1:26

  • hello awesome videos :) i want to ask something can you help me ? i want to ask wich camera have the best video because i want to buy one :) thank you :)

  • Sony FTW!

  • wow nice!

  • Yea, I'd like to win one, I guess!

  • I do not want to win the bag, I insist i do not!

  • 5:08 No climbing yet the parkourer climbed. Don't try this at home!

  • The EVF of the a77 is really nice! I just check it out at the Sony Store today!

  • my first dslr is the a55 and it hasn't disappointed me

  • Sony still has lots of catching up to do.

  • @billetudo

FANBOY, you've clearly never used a Sony or you would realise just how wrong you are.

  • ...sony has been consistant with its innovations of making its cameras extremely user friendly with a competitive speed, quality, in both video and pictures that the other brands lack.

  • omg i love all the sony defenders here

  • Nikon4Life

  • a77's kit lens is 2.8f... not some a65 lens

  • the 18 -55 is the kit lense on the A65 not the 77.. The A77 lenses should be a 18-70 designed for the 77, or so I`ve read.

I have sony kit, and found it works ok. Only main grip I`ve got is trying to get decent accessories, ring lights, flash etc.. Nixon and Canon really win here.

But all the A77 reports seem alittle vague to me.. Esp reagrding the picture quality.

  • @RUAV2TWIN

You clearly haven't read much on the A77. The kit lens is the 16-50mm SSM. There are plenty of ring lights and flashes, but I guess you don't want to actually pay any money for one! Reports seem a little vague? Have you actually READ any reviews? Doesn't sound like it to me!

  • Yes I have read the reports. Last one stated that @ISO 1600 and above the Sony pictures suffered badly from noise. By comparison, the CANON and NIXON although not immune to noise, still gave better pictures at the higher ISO.

For a few hundred quid more you can get a full frame CANON with 21MP but slower brust rate.

Nice to see how you defend SONY though.

A new A77 would go well the A230 and A200 I currently use. I just don`t jump and buy the latest toy available.

    All the bestGIMP1204

  • @gimp1204 You, sir, have just been owned by @RUAV2TWIN.

  • Excellent experiment. I love Sony's innovation and the quality is pretty darn good. Nikon's quality is still unsurpassed in this price range, but since all my photos receive post treatment, I have to say the a77's the better choice for me.

  • @AlotLikeAsteroid

Nikon quality is not unsurpassed in this price range. The Sony A580 and Pentax K5 use the same SONY sensor as used in the D7000. Take a D7000 apart and you'll see Sony on the sensor.

  • @gimp1204 That's like saying "take an iPhone apart and you'll see Samsung provide the processor chips". Your fanboy argument is invalid. It's also quite funny how you spew that word around when clearly, you are one.

  • sony should continue to make HDTV's and not bother with the camera competetion.

  • A77 Is a winner.! Has much more to offer with much sharper and crispier picture if you use a good lens. I've tried both.

  • D7000 FTW :)

  • If buffer is an issue, use a faster card. :|

  • Dick rider

  • LoVe these video's.

  • Kai W. I think you've done the best comparison ever between those two great cams, & I guess that Sony wins, I wish to buy this great Cam Sony 77 one day :), thank you Kai W.

  • 1:24 - CATERPILLAR!

  • The A77 is the clear choice. No offense but I like the A77 as much as I like the D300's.

  • A lot of these comments feel like Apple fanboys defending Their macs I should know I am one. stop hating on the competition and be glad that another company is pushing the limits with a camera that will help Nikon evolve ex. Internal gps

  • Where can I get a pink cover like that for my Nikon d5100?

  • @maryoom2hayat3e

    They painted it. :)

  • @maryoom2hayat3e

    They painted it.

  • @maryoom2hayat3e

    Nikon D7000 is the pink one… :P

  • @propaintballa Thanks :D

  • @propaintballa Thanks!

  • can some one tell me which which camera should I buy if I only have money for it as sony a55 is there something better at the same price??

  • @Vorigt

    Canon 600D, Nikon D3100

  • Is the free camera bag give away over?

  • I am wondering witch DSLR to get I'm a beginner and i have a small Budget ( between 400 and 600 dollars) can you pleas Guide me

  • I wish I could win a d7000. Its been 3 years with my d3000

  • SONY VS PINKON !!! YEAAAAHHHHHHH~ !! 8D

  • i want to win one of these so i am leaving a commint thankx i really do like your reviews thou i couldnt makeup my mind in what to buy

  • I have the A65 and that viewfinder is amazing.

  • I would love to bag one of this.

  • At 0:55 when I saw that lag...there's no way im ever grabbing that camera!

  • The Sony camera is just ugly. The D7000 is beautiful.

  • @Amcacs5654 I can agreeee with that! I tried the D7000 today. IT is HELLAWESOME! It was a long time ago since I upgraded with nikon cameras and this is one of the best I ever had in my hands, its bulky in a kind a way and the controls are like rolls royce compared to the older D300 and D700.

  • Nice Camera! love to have one soon!

  • The SLT conecept of sony have one bad thing. The mirror always takes away light. Light transfers informations. so you not only get a higher ISO, you also lose very fine detailes in your images. that is a pure physical reason and to say this is wrong is just stupid because physics proofs that this is correct. Loss of Light is Loss of information and SLT means Loss of Light.

  • @Vamp898

Also dont forget the DDP "Double Dirt Problem". You have the double chance to get dirt on your images. If the mirror is dirty and/or the sensor is dirty.

  • @Vamp898 Don't forget that the translucent mirror that covers the sensor also isolate it from the ambient, and in the hipotetical case of a dirty sensor you can lift the mirror and have total acces to the sensor. DDP is a urban myth.

  • @Vamp898

Since dust in LESS likely to get to the sensor due to the mirror being fixed you will not have this mythical "Double Dirt Problem" that you go on about. Do you change your lenses in a sandstorm or something???

  • @Vamp898 Yes, you and basicly the physic are right, ONLY if you compare two cameras with equal sensors, the first one without mirror and the other one with a Translucent mirror, in this and only in this case the one without the mirror has a better image and more information on RAW file that means quality and detail.

BUT if the camera with mirror has a best sensor the image will be also better.

BUT if the camera with mirror has a best sensor the image will be also better.

    BUT.........

  • @Vamp898

    You are talking bollocks.

The translucent mirror takes away, at most, half a stop. Half a stop is NOTHING. If you think half a stop is some big deal, then you need to re-evaluate your photography skills.

  • sony is beter .. :)

  • Nikon D7000 has a Sony sensor.

    Nikon D7000 6fps @ 16,2MP = 97,2 MPs / Sony A77 12fps @ 24,3 MP =291,6 MPs

    Sony rules¡¡¡

  • @CarIosMigueI evf sucks balls

  • @dan007iel do you have one of this cameras? can you really prove this?

have you used a evf of a Sony A55 or a Sony A65 / 77? the A55 EVF is good, but the A77 EVF is supreme, can you see the histogram on your OVF??? can you see a selectionable grid on your OVF?? can you..... NOT you cant do it.

You can choose not to buy a Sony Camera, buy a canon, pentax, nikon..... etc. Be happy with your camera, but why so suffer? A77, and all sony cameras will not stop to be amaizing because you said it that.

  • @CarIosMigueI its shit in high dynamic range contrast situations

your saying a sensor is better than your eyes..

    its innovative but not good

  • @dan007iel this "weakness" on high dynamic range situations, have been a problem to reach the perfection on your master piece? do you work for associated press? NG? Sorry, I'm just an amateur who has paid a fraction of the cost of a Canon or a Nikon for a Sony and enjoy the same performance with cutting edge technology.

  • @CarIosMigueI lol evf... purist will stay away..

  • @Frostlance hahaha¡¡¡¡ yes, "purist, open your eyes" hahahaha¡¡¡. I have an Sony A900 OVF 100% cover one of the best OVF on the market, and an Sony A55 with the first generation EVF, there are two diferent cameras and have diferent applications. each has advantages and disadvantages over the other, trying to compare or say which is better, depends on the criteria of each. We can not set position and avoid a debate.

  • @CarIosMigueI No i can attest the A55 EVF or any EVF for that matter, is NOT better than any OVF. Yes you can't see the info on it, but you have live view for that. Plus, the clarity of OVF will always make it better than EVF no matter how much they improve it.

  • @MarksmanODST Please check what you wrote, if you have not tried them, you can NOT give an opinion absolutist. Even having tried both remember it is only YOUR opinion. Be happy with your optical viewfinder while we enjoyed the electronic one. You will be welcome to the twenty-first century if you're willing to open your mind and your eyes to a better world.

  • @CarIosMigueI I have, in fact, tried the EVF, it is no different than my 2 year old sony HX1 PnS viewfinder. Still isn't clear enough. That's funny since with an OVF you see the "world" exactly how it is.

  • @MarksmanODST dude, i have to explain you something, 1 < 2 < 3.....< 230,000 < 1,440,000 < 2,359,296.

"<" means minor that, 230,000 is the resolution of your HX1 EVF, 1,440,000 = resolution of the A55, 2,359,296 = resolution of A77. "=" means equal

    minor "< " is diferent that " = "

The really funny thing is that i'm enjoying my evf and you insist on change that = FAIL

  • @CarIosMigueI lol Love how you're teaching me about math. Feel any better about yourself? Bottom-line is, no matter how many pixels you cram in a small space it still isn't going to match the clarity of a pentaprism mirror which shows you EXACTLY what the lens sees. Why do you think military snipers don't use electronic scopes?

Nobody's telling you to hate EVF. Love it all you want, but I'm stating the fact that it's NEVER going to match the clarity you get from a MIRROR.

  • @MarksmanODST if you like to see the world exactly as it is, good for you, but if you make a generalization and emit a "final" judgment, you are exposed to an annoying man as I ;-) defending his point of view, I repeat, the OVF of my A900 is one of the best that exists, and I still prefer to see the world with additional information that is useful. eg Under low light with an OVF can not see anything (just like the world exactly is) and the EVF I can see, a noisy image?, yes, but I can compose.

  • @CarIosMigueI Don't worry, you don't annoy me. And it isn't a "final" judgement when I say OVF will always be clearer than EVF. At the moment, when EVF's have just started, they still have a lot to go through to grow.

It's also impossible for an OVF to go blank even at the slightest of light. Now if it's completely pitch black there's your problem, but as long there is a really faint light you can always compose without problems. Providing you know your lens well enough.

  • @CarIosMigueI what use is 24mp when the af is off?

only people with no knowledge of photography use MEGAPIXELS to compare cameras

    like you

  • @dan007iel I´m not comparing photographic quality, but the "EXPERT" is doing comparing the buffer of a 16,2 Mp camera like a equal to 24.3 Mp camera, this have no sence.

Some times you have to read before write an rude answer

  • lol the "no climbing" warning sign xD

  • Kai W seeks inspiration from Jeremy Clarkson and Top Gear's reviews. Love it!!

  • ATG AK1 Un-Tethered Systems is compactibe with Pinkon D7000.

The Sony A77 can not do tethered.

  • I love how you always try to be negative at the sonys... guess what, your even lamer!

  • @YmePt Face the facts, he's being realistic, don't have to go around defending your purchase

    Kai is awesome

  • leaving a comment for a bag

  • I'm leaving a comment below so i can win that sony camera bag.Did I win?

  • Wow...

  • greet job!! hot videos 2!!! yupppppppppp

  • woooow thank i have the sony 65 niceeeeeeee

  • a77 is better than a900 i wanna get one

  • love sony

  • i wish i had one its cool and omg how cool loove it

  • I have the a77 and if you turn down the fps to 8 it's buffer does better and would be a more fair comparison. The kit lens you used for the a77 I have on my a33 and it's a piece of crap. It's soft and unresponsive most of the time. Try using another lens with the A77 and slow down the fps and do this test again. My a77 came with a different kit lens.

  • i plan to buy one of them from ur website ^^

  • a comment.... did i win?

  • what a fanboy

  • i see... Kai is wearing UniQlo's Chino pants, obviously..

  • I'd like to win your bag!

  • I'd love to win a bag for my new dslr I spent all the money on it and dont have enough for a bag :(

  • Thanks for the follow up Video man....Needed.that...

  • 2:47 - "No climbing"

WOAH STEP BACK EVERYBODY! We're dealing with a badass right here!

  • I got that bag for my a55..it's super..it holds the camera in mid air, so your lens doesn't hit the ground. A kid once dropped my camera (it was inside the bag), lens first, my hear skipped a beat..but everything was alright, it never touched my lens. (18-55mm lens, I low it down to 35mm when I put it in the bag.)

  • Kai is going high!

  • New firmware update for A77, now 1.04 available. Would love the bag for it Kai. BTW where abouts did you live in London?

  • Nikon D7000 is still the best cropped sensor DSLR.

  • @exile4ever only for low light performance

  • Stop putting music in to your videos - its distracting & pointless & makes it hard to understand your poor english

  • love this camera....

  • @lightitup1211 Owned 60D and currently using D7000. D7000 is the better camera. Tried a77, its a total crap to me. Sure, all that marketing about 12fps, 24mp and evf is just gimmick. Hardly anyone i know shoot that fast or is a sport shooter. And you're just gonna resize the files down to 8-12mp or even 5mp if you're just gonna put up on facebook. EVF is good, but, no thanks, i still prefer OVF, personal choice.

sluggish operations and crappy jpeg file from a77 is the reason why it suck.

  • I want to have 1 please ^^

  • A77, ahhhhh. such a sexy camera.

  • BTW You could use 8fps setting on a77 so it would be more fare

  • @MrDimk777 Whats the point for all that marketing Sony did to boast their 12fps shooting? Its just a expensive camera that cost more and do the same as its competitors.

  • DRTV Can you review 35mm Sony f1.8

  • Comment removed

  • hey Kai.. why don't you compare the A77 with the 7D? I would really love to see that.

  • @uchihahonda 7D will destroy a77. look at the 7D vs D7000 comparison they did earlier. the 7D won despite being a older camera, and, it will beat a77 easily.

  • awesome witty commentary, but get rid of the music...

  • D7000 owns and pawns and again owns and pawns

  • its called "Parkour" lol

  • hey great video

  • Ke patoso ke eres kolega

  • i Freaking wanna win that. been trying to by a camera for like 2 years. Just cant get the money lol.

  • that shutter sound of the A77 is just so sexy~

  • The music makes it hard to understand wtf his saying...

  • Sallehdo!

  • whats the price difference between those two? Or is there none at all?

  • i love what you do.

offre me my first dslr plz

  • Love your video's...it's very helpfull to choose my future camera!

  • lemme get that bag!

  • That A77 is just lovely.

  • 'Like a playboy bunny locks onto hugh hefners credit card' LOL

  • @lightitup1211 d7000 has the edge on photos, 60d has the edge on movies, but they are both good overall. I don't know about the a77, I would personally stay within Canon and Nikon.

  • i would like to win it

  • Sony make sensors for a few companies that goes to show how advance they are in technology make.believe they really live up To! Sony FTW!!!

  • Aurgh, theres bird shit.

  • how does the 7D do with buffer performance? it has to process 18 mp files at 8 fps so...

  • @vehlajatt22 the canon is the best with buffering , one of canon specialties.

  • I NEED To Win ONE!! :O

  • Comment removed

  • @ThanujaLRupasinghe I don't think so. Optically, Sony have been relying on old minolta design and carl zeiss' glass. They simply just rebadge minolta's glass with sony.

Look at their own NEX mount's glass. Crappy optics and huge. Is that how sony gonna take over the industry? Canon is coming back with full power to show who is the boss with their 1D X launch, wait till the technology is pass down.

Nikon with their new PDAF Imbedded on the sensor as seen in 1 series is gonna be great in DSLR.

  • @xiaoquan

Dear Xiaoquan, unlike in film camera’s, the most important part of a Digital camera is its sensor. No matter how good your lenses are, if your sensor and electronics is not up to the stranded, you won’t be able to get good photos. In a digital camera, image sensor is the place where the whole light comes through the glasses get absorbed and frizzed as a moment. So the sensor and electronics should be very good and fast to get the right moment of a photograph, as you want.

  • @ThanujaLRupasinghe You're seriously flaw by this theory. Sensor is a important part of digital camera, no doubt. Do not forget about the image processor, it is also important for the processor to come out with good image from the data the sensor received. And also the metering, AF and good glass. Without all these components working together, no matter how good the sensor is, your photos will come out as shit. Just take a look at the nikon new expeed 3 processor in the 1 series camera. Great IQ

  • @xiaoquan

Isn’t Nikon uses Sony sensors and chips? Correct me if I’m wrong. And for Lens glasses, Carl Zeizz is second only to Leica, as far as I have heard. Do you say Canon glasses produce better colors than Zeizz? Don’t Canon glasses have a bit of a blue color issue? Have you seen the auto focus speed of a77 and compaired it with Canon D7 or 5D M ii auto focusing speed? If you really want a perfect colour lenses, nither Canon, Nikon nor Sony would do. You have to get a Leica S2.

  • @ThanujaLRupasinghe Sry, i did not say canon produce better colors than zeiss. I never mention anything about zeiss in my comments. Its truth than Leica and zeiss glass are a class of its own. Nikon said, their sensors are design by NIKON and FAB by Sony. For that statement, i do not think sony will allow someone to claim that their SENSORS are design by others. Of course, they might be some contract between these two companies to share certain technology.

  • @ThanujaLRupasinghe I won't need to rob a bank to purchase a Leica S2. Simply solution like learning how to use photoshop are able to bring out the colors that you wanted. alright, you might say the AF is faster than 7D, 5DM II or whatever. But, you can't compare a new technology to a model that is few years back. Well, i'm not here to say how sony suck. They are pros and cons to each brand. pick the one you're comfortable with and start creating wonderful pictures with it

  • @xiaoquan

    : )

I wish you and I will be able to buy a Leica S2 one day. Till then wish you good luck with your photography.

    Cheers…….
