  • I grew up playing Gibson LPs but you couldn't give me one now (except to sell of course.) Telecaster FTW!

  • Most people would say nobody represents Les Paul better than Slash...Most people have something in common....Most People dont know who Warren Haynes is! Nobody represents Les Paul tone better than Warren.

  • How does he play slide like that? I suck so hard at slide!

  • he always looks like hes about to cry haha

  • @omfg51 probably because he is always high:-D

  • so,about half a million white men died in the civil war but this jackass is upset because the negroes didn't get the mules they were promised? What a dildo.

  • @rw5791 what the hell are you saying? is this something about guvt mule?

  • @thiagomassara uh,that was the name of his band wasn't it?

  • @rw5791 sorry... I was just wondering if you posted this stupid comment because of someone elses comment or simply cause youre stupid...

  • @thiagomassara You almost got your grammar right ,dildo. When you conjugate the noun with the verb you need to put an apostrophe in between. But hey,at least you didn't say..."your stupid".

  • @rw5791 thanks for the stupid advice!

  • Ah, that's heavy, man....

  • god to pick out your own burst! heaven

  • People don't realize that a wavy or curly top is actually considered FLAWED wood.

  • @theguitarczar Flawed for a structural application but not for decorative purposes as it's used in guitars or furniture veneers and such.

  • I also think a Plain Top sounds better...they just have a RING

  • I have a 2009 Traditional Pro, and that thing just KILLS. Sustains 4ever into 2nd order harmonics, and plays like butter. Light weight seasoned Mahogany with a nice plain maple top, and a Tomato Soup Red/Orange subtle burst.LOVING it, but now I need to learn how to play like Warren here smiles>>>

  • @ThePhallystorm You can do it mate! Just remember the 10,000 hour rule. This has been studied and it has been proven in many disciplines that to really master something takes about 10,000 hours of dedicated practice. That's the amount of time it takes the brain, muscles, nerves, uncounscious, everything to all work together to achieve perfection. Also the 80/20 rule. The first 80% of achievement takes 20% of the effort but to accomplish that last 20% is the hardest and takes 80%. Jam on!

  • thats a real fat tone, suits him XD

  • I learned a lot about slide-playing from Warren, however, I wear the slide on my middle finger so I can still play chords and things. I think I learned that from Joe Walsh. The only problem is, I need a big slide for it to fit around my middle finger, and there's only one size that does. I can't use the Coricidin bottle (It only fits around my pinky). I think glass slides sound the best, but metal ones certainly-have their place.

  • @gangtwanger you must hve immense fingers because the coricidin bottle fits almost 2 of my fingers in it! lol

  • @gangtwanger you must have immense fingers because the coricidin bottle fits almost 2 of my fingers in it! lol

  • souds like my telecaster

  • Funny.... that looks pretty much identical to any other hcs lp out there, it has the same pups, but twice the price!! Screw Gibson, build your own. Better quality control!!

  • omg what a nice sound!

i mean, even with the bridge pickup you get the bluesy sound!

    amazin'!

i mean, i cant even get that sound with my neck pickup!

  • very sharp

  • WH's playing is so pleasing to the ear

  • What amp is he using ?

  • @jp6l6 Warren uses a Soldano SLO100.

  • @LesPaulCustom79 Thank you. A little to expensive for me...

  • @jp6l6 My guess: a Fender Super Reverb. I know he owns one and is fond of it.

  • Thats the sound i want

  • Go on ebay and search for CAE CB-2. That's the preamp in his guitar.

  • cool guy ... i wish i had like $5000 to buy his signature guitar lol

  • He really can play

  • Amazing axe and first class playing.

  • what's the name of the finish..?

    is it vintage sunburst..?

that's the best finish i've ever seen...

  • It's a custom colour Warren and Gibson came up with.

  • It looks really strange to see him playing a strat early on in his career, kinda like a 2 headed animal. Very weird.

  • anyone know the name is the circuitry hes talking about cause i need that shit! i hate turning down my volume and losing my tone!

  • It's a high pass filter.

  • derek trucks should get a signature SG.

  • Just get a '61 Reissue, take off the pickguard, and drop in a pair of Antiquities. That's exactly what Derek is using.

  • what is antiquities?

  • They're Seymour Duncan's upper range pickups. They're made better with better materials.

  • sorry i accidentally gave thumbs down but that is an absolutely sexy idea

  • @Stefanrocks Doesn't really need one, all he uses is a SG 61' re-issue :)

  • @Stefanrocks

No, I don't think he should. He plays a '61 Reissue. You can play the exact model Trucks plays for less than two grand. That's awesome!

  • Dont get me wrong here .. Warren Haynes is a killer player but the recent influx of these so-called signature guitars and their outrageous prices makes me sick . Gibson should focus more on quality control with their existing models and lower their prices ... enuff gouging already . I have a friend that just bought a Joe Bonamasso Lp and the friggin thing wont stay in tune . This cost him $6500 !!! That's totally unacceptable especially leaving what they call a " Custom Shop "

  • Whenever you get a guitar you always have to play with intonation, the nut and so on and so forth. Guitar corporations never set up guitars right.

  • I own six Carvins and they were set-up pretty much perfect . The only thing I had to adjust was the pickup height on a couple . Intonation was bang on 4 guitars and 2 basses.

  • I have strat that me and my guitar teacher had to set up along with my Ibanez. the only guitar we didnt have to truly set up was my Les Paul Supreme but that was only because it was pre-used by some one who knew what they were doing with great intonation we only had to tighten the chord jack and we were ready to go

I was just giving friendly advice :)

  • Another friend of mine has a LP Supreme ... if I could convince him to sell it I'd buy it tomorrow ... lol .I have to say though my favorite LP is the Deluxe .Scott Gorham from Thin Lizzy had the tone I wanted. I've posted some clips of me playing some Lizzy solos using my (dont hate me ... lol ) Epiphone Les Paul Custom .

Friendly advice is welcome .. I hope I didn't come off as a Gibson hater ... I love LP's but the price they ask is harsh.

  • No big deal and you didn't you actually came off like you love the instruments. Epiphone are the closest you'll get to LP and its true my dad got a deal on my LP.

    I'll check out your vids.

  • Amen......

  • Where is Warren Haynes?

    Where is God?

    Where am I?

  • i am playing it when i am typing this :D

  • If you have the privilege to play that guitar, do me a favor - don't multi-task. Give it the attention it deserves!

  • that's good man, you're a person that if someone has a talent. keep working on your skill, don't worry about anything else man. that's cool

  • Great guitar and deep respect for WH's ability to wring such distillate feeling out of one, but more amazing to me is the irresistible force of Gibson's marketing budget to induce an artist of his stature to make such a blatantly commercial play. Money's money I guess. Warren would sound like Warren on an unplugged yard-sale Wal-mart guitar and I will probably sound just like me, multi-thousand dollar, inspired by '58, pre-amped, extra lemony ice tea burst or no.

  • You are so, so right !!!!!

  • you're right if you're tone def. but I'm not saying the more expensive the better.

  • Maybe you just misunderstood my post. No matter how sweet a particular guitar sounds, my ability to express myself through it is unique to me and Warren's to him. If buying a signature model would make me sound like the artist, I'd have a Dickie Betts knock off tomorrow - no offense, Warren.

Oh, despite how it's printed on your CD cases, it's spelled d-e-A-f, else we're reverting to the arbitrary spelling of middle English.

  • looks very simular to slash vos but not if u get that

  • Warren if you ever look at this, what are you playing thru here, Amp Effects Etc....

    Thanks

  • Ha!

  • Digital delay into a Marshall stack using the low side.

  • Hi, Perrier is fizzy French mineral water.

  • Ahhh ok cool..., thanks a lot... ^^

  • SWEET!

  • Are you kidding me???

  • if that sounds like a strat, then I am an empty bottle of water.... just listen closely.... it is an amazing sound and has nothing to do with a strat!!!

  • What is Perrier?....

  • Its amazing. period

  • Ohhh mannnn fuck its sounds amazing !!! WOW ! Anybody knows in wich amp he is plugged in ? Thats what i call a fucking REAL tone ! If anybody knows about the amp please tell me ! ?

  • I think I read on the Les Paul forum that it was a vintage 50 watt Marshall.

  • nicest guitar ever?

  • thats a FUCKING SICK TONE

  • what is that switch is it the fishman powerbridge or piezo or wha?

  • some kind of a bosst i think

  • thats a nice one

  • Gov't Rule!!!!!

  • whats the guitar on the right

  • Just like Duane Allman and Dickey Betts have their own "guitar personalities," Warren Haynes is like the third Allman Brother.

His sound is somewhere between Middle Eastern feeling and American Blues

  • middle eastern?? thats a shocking comparison

  • GOV'T MULE!

  • i love warren's tone it has a great low end but with a good amount of brightness

  • Warren, tell Alan And Ray at butterflyove in Lima to introduce us!

would love to jam with you some time

    Kevin

  • i watch this video alot. i love that guitar and i love what hes playing here.

  • I had the honor or meeting him at a NAAM show, and all I can say is, this guy knows how to treat fans. He took time out of his day to converse with me for about 10 minutes, and he wasnt on a promotion gig at the time. Pure class, an amazing player, and most importantly a true gentleman.

  • Warren Haynes is amazing.

Since the first time I saw the Allman Brothers band live in about 1992, I have been absolutely spellbound by his playing.

  • ..its not that funny..lol

  • When I caught the mule on tour for the very first time had the chance to meet Warren. Told him I traveled all the way from Mexico to see them live....

  • A month later had the chance to see them and met the guy, again. He recognized me immediately and said "Como estas amigo!". That's spanish for "how are you, buddy".

    Truly a class act.

  • I love this guy. GOod ole boy. I like the fact he stands behind his gear. He did dig on the plexi heads for a while but I know he likes his SLO 100 SOldanos! Also I know he plays GOLD SERIES KLON pedals religously. Got $800 to buy one. I sold mine like a dumb dumb. My name is up to get a KPOT King Of TOne though so I mgonna try that out and im very hapoopy with the poedakls i got .Love haynes.

  • (((((((warren))))))))))

    love ya!

  • Warren is a class act.

  • monster player, and seems like a really cool guy too.

  • monster player, and seems like a really cool guy too.
