i managed to complete this first time but it took 49 days and i just slowly steam rolled the enemy

i used the bait idea, worked out great at first, i had a fall back, but i eventually pulled through and capped the factory. after that, it was all downhill. 57 days, and i got 7 points for speed, and some 20 something points for teechnique, but a damn good 117 points for powers, war tanks muther fuckers.

my advice, capture as many cities as you can to make maximum # of war tanks, that will win the battle.

Personally, I got a "B" on this. Once again, I felt it nessasary to completely destroy all her untis. I chocked her in the end, spaming war tanks to surround her HeadQuarters and factory, along with her one city. She had two war tanks just...stuck there. Over 100,000 in funds and not a single way to use them she had. I just kept building bombers in the end, every turn, another bomber and A bike until I could spam a bomber, bike and tank in one turn...Speed is my lowest. Power and tech? Highend.

excellent chess player? advance wars IS an animated version of chess. the only difference there probably is, is the capability of units. e.g. In chess, a pawn and kill a king. In AW, an infantry can't kill a war tank xD. Anyway, this guy is ingenious. He knows what the opponent is tempted to do, exploits the incompetence of the enemy CO, and gives a new meaning to "meat shield". Nice!

@jlqt5 The thing I dislike about advanced wars as opposed to chess is that in chess attack is often the best form of defence whereas in advanced wars often letting them come to you can be what is crucial in gaining the initial advantage before making an attack.

(wow its been 2 years since i made that comment). it's not really advance wars when you gotta wait. but when you become better at advance wars, you learn to place your artillery where they should be and although offensive placement is hard, artillery could make a retaliation by your opponent quite hard.

but i totally agree with you, advance wars is quite hard to "advance"

the anti-air doesnt move coz the 'AI' or 'AL' whatever is on stop if u look on the options of the design room or free battle options u can see the ai al whatever there u put on stop they cant move :)

on day 8, how did you know that his AA wouldn't attack your Bomber? The AI in this game is usually smart enough to strike back. This makes no sense. Also, I'm following your steps, but somehow, you are dealing more damage than me....Sometimes, I just don't know

the game is set up to how you lay out your units and were you move them,every move could cause the AI to change his whole layout

Save before you attack it, and if you don't destroy it just load and try again. That's what I did. The guy in the video seems to be extremely lucky with his attacks throughout.

your vids are so helpful, but a lot of the time your units manage to take less damage than mine when they get hit, like at 6:04 when both of your fighters get hit and have 3 hp left, mine had 3 and 2 respectively, idk how you get so lucky all the time :\

only problem for me was in day 7 you attacked an Anti-Air with an Wtank with 95% damage. When I attacked it, it didn't destroy it completely. For anyone else, I would recommend saving before doing that...
