Well I wouldn't say that ony a "true believer" wouldn't be afraid to die because we have areas that we struggle with in our faith and that fear might be an area for someone... so I think it's possible to be a true believer and still have that fear. Jesus says in the Scriptures that we will be mocked and hated for standing firm for the Gospel. Jesus says in Matthew 10:22, "And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved." Jesus also says, "The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also" (John 15:20).
The persecution that you are getting is to be expected, and....

you can rejoice! Matthew 5:11 says, "Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake."
Continue obeying Jesus and loving Him with all of your mind, heart, soul and strength...no matter what happens! And never be ashamed of the Gospel! After all that Jesus did for us, the least we can do is endure some persecution for His namesake!

There is so much we cannot see, so much we cannot possibly understand. That is why we must trust God that He knows what He is doing and knows better than us. Our Lord is not a God of worrry, fear, and disappointment. That is the ememy tempting our weakness. When we worry and are afraid, we are in a sense "doubting" God. We must continue to keep our eyes on Him. Be thankful in ALL that happens, good and bad. Because in the end, we control nothing. It is His will and we believe in his promise

Well I wouldn't say that ony a "true believer" wouldn't be afraid to die because we have areas that we struggle with in our faith and that fear might be an area for someone... so I think it's possible to be a true believer and still have that fear. Not that I don't think we should trust God with that fear or just trust him with our afterlife, I'm just pointing out that being fearfull doesn't make someone not a "true" believer. :)

@krisdeeee i was at that point talking about dying to self. it was my connection from death as the world sees it to death as Christ calls it. you're right we do have fear i know i have many fears but for me giving my life to Christ means that now i dont have to have that spirit of fear, he's helpin me find who i am in him. not who the world sees.

Your last sentence is completely false. While we were filthy, radically depraved sinners, Christ died on our behalf. God certainly loves those who are not His because at one point, you were not saved, rolling around in your sin and loving it; however, God pulled you toward him. While you were in blatant rebellion, and wicked in every way, God loved you enough to pour His grace upon you. God does love those who are not His.

We believe and follow the Truth and Word of God which is in God, which is God. God teaches how know from right and wrong. @sunshine1794 depends on where you are and if your main station is a poppy kind of christian music. they dont play it much on the station in my area cuz its so soft and brings ppl to their knees that most "modern" christian stations dont care about the heart of worship they want the ratings. this song speaks something so deep we as american christians have forgotten the cross and its power. call up your station and request it on your lunch break.

This isn't just some praise and worship song thrown together with cliche lyrics like "Holy holy holy is the lord God almighty" or "Worthy is the lamb" This was well thought out. This song helps me understand more my continuing walk with God. God blessed Jeremy with some serious inspiration. "Draw me GENTLY to my knees. SWEETLY Broken!" What a beautiful salvation i get to experience.
