byt the eye ridges just not that big... and btw i know what a T-rex is...
a T-rex was probaly not a hunter like most people think but a scavenger, if it woul been a hunter it would been realy uneffective cause it just wasnt able to run(above like 15m/h) or jump cause it would just fall dawn and never stan up again...
Hah, I don't believe a word that the paleontologist Jack Horner says for one minute,
he's just trying to defame the most powerful jaws ever in the animal kingdom.
He gave historical facts to the film JP III, spinosaurs were fish eaters, how could it survive a bite to the neck from the jaws of a Rex, its hilarious.
ok it could be it was indeed a hunter but then i would need a realy realy heavy tail and to support that it would need immense strong legs that would have made it even heavier so the ambush theory just doesnt aply. and btw how does a 12m long creature that walks on 2 massive legs a prey half its size?
Hard to make sense of what you wrote, it seems as though you havent researched into it much.
T-rex or T.Rex as the proper form spells it [T-Rex being a misconception] had legs longer than other therapods, small arms and a relatively shorter body to support that massive head, lions don't have massive tails.. T-rex is evolved to kill prey with one bite, why else would a scavenger have such a massive head, not just long but wide and dense.
So it spots its prey and runs out at that speed, like other hunters it can't keep those speeds for long (just short bursts), but just one bite is all it needs, especially to the head/neck.
Lions aim for the neck to puncture the prey's windpipe.. I expect Rex had similar tactics.
So yea, I dunno how you can say my theory doesn't apply.
It could quite easily eat a prey item half its size, I shouldn't need to draw you a diagram of how the T-Rex bipedal gait looks.
But using that tail as a counter balance it could quite easily dip its head to feed.
I just don't see where your coming from trying to say it was a scavenger and it is not flexible enough to bend it's head any lower than halfway of it's height. It seems like you believe everything you read.
the chance its similar to one of those creatures is very unlikely because the build is more like a "birdlike raptile" then a amphibic riaptile, and a lion... well it just doesnt aply... you can tell a lot about an animal by only going after looks, you should try it some times. but im not gona argue anymore because now i know your one of those people who think the first thing you hear about something is always true(and yes i once was a strong belever that the tiranosaures rex was indeed a hunter)

Crocodiles have comparable jaw power, with large salties exerting over 5000 lbs of bite force, these are slow animals but
they use ambush to their advantage much to what I expect T-Rex did.
What Lion's do to faster moving prey, what Komodo Dragons do,
they can only run in short bursts at high speed and yet they kill prey like deer that could easily outrun them.
Omegakairi 3 years ago
There has been so much evidence to support that it hunted, so I believe it did both.
firstly they have found T-Rex wounds on the bones of animals such as Triceratops
and Hadrosaurids.
I have studied animals all my life as a hobby, look for evidence and draw your own conclusions.
Because there is plenty of evidence to suggest it was not just a Scavenger.

To boot, it could run at speeds of 18 mph which alone is faster than the supposed prey it hunted, Hadrosaurs etc.
Now in a forest environment when animals much like gazeles eat they lower their head to feed.. they don't have much chance to see a predator.

Now I know everything i'm saying it purely subjective because we can't actually see how it fed etc.
But an animal built with a crushing skull like that did not sit around and eat other smaller Dinosaurs kills.
Crocodile's will scavenge but they are ambush predators, using the environment to they're advantage because they are slow on land.
Although they are equally at home on the land because they need to breathe.

When you learn to construct a fortified sentence then you can reason with me.
-
Haha so your saying because it was built birdlike, it being a hunter doesn't apply?
Bird's are hunters too.
There are even worms that are carnivore's, don't give me the talk about build.
Lmao sounds like your the one who believes anything you hear, i'm going by my own opinion.
Jack Horner was the guy who said that T.Rex was a scavenger and I just don't believe it.

dude.....it is a hunter....

You are getting confused, BTW. A T-Rex could jump, as long as it didn't fall down. Then it was difficult to get back up.
