Oh & by the way from studying Music I just want 2 share w/ u that Carly must have been influenced by 20th Century Classical Composers such as Felix Mendellsohn, Chopin, Bartok, & Maybe some Brahms. I've played some pieces from the 1st 3 Composers & unfortunately didn't have the opportunity to play Brahms. Hi Beaglepilot! I was surfing about Airplanes the Pilots behind the scenes. I live on a Flight path w/ a major airport just mins. away. I'm basically a musician who's endeavor is to MOVE to AUSTIN, TX. I've flown to Ariz., Calif., St. Louis, Illinois, Nashville (just recently) & Austin, TX (just recently). I checked out what the Music scene is in TN & TX 2 see where I could live life musically. It hasn't been musically fun here in NY so each time I see/hear a plane it represents this goal.
I'm sorry but I have to disagree the video is done very well, the pace of the slideshow emphasizes the urgency and sheer volume of flights being operated by pilots as well as set the mood for the business of general aviation and how critical the actions of airmen are.
In the end. if i decide to start flying, i wonder if ill ever get out of the regional gridlock and go onto being a 737 captain as it is id be overjoyed to earn 50k a year but ive got time (im 13)

I'm sorry - I appreciate the message, but this video is very poorly done. The constant strobing of different images every second makes this painful to watch after only a minute or two. If you wanted to go for maximum dramatic effect, you should have tossed about 2/3 of the pictures and kept the best ones, just stayed on them longer for 1 second! Let the viewer adjust and reflect on the image instead of freaking them out by bombarding their senses every second.

How about the feeling of "accuracy, precision and reliability" of the flight instruments? When you see the pointer and the meter display on the flight insturment, you can feel that a sense of accuracy, precision and reliability from the "frontier technology".
Well, I once went up there in a C-152 when I was 10 years old , although I have been on a 757 numerous of times, and ever since my eyes and head have been looking to the sky searching for aircrafts and as I hear them I always look outside the window just to see it. My dream will never die, my passion for flying will never die, the thrill I get will never die, Aviation is stuck in my blood and will never leave, not even when the day that we all hope never comes, comes.
My dream to become a airliner pilot will never disappear, my future is in the sky and so is my life. If I could choose, my life would end there and that is the place I want to spend the best part of my life staying at. It's in me and will never leave I'm forever captured by this amazing and wonderful thing.
I can honestly tell you a career as a pilot is NOT worth it anymore. It is modern day slavery with fast food job wages and far more hours than a fast food job (in other words, you are getting 4 dollars/hour).
I am a private pilot but I will only fly for self/pleasure, never for the airlines - you can get so many more other jobs with far higher and better wages/salaries.
why do you say that? what about the experience you get, all the places you go to, and you probably don't know a lot about salaries cuz at Icelandair pilots get a lot more than people in other jobs and they probably live a better life than someone who sits at a desk all day long and stares at a monitor. why do you think people become pilots? for the salaries? ohhh no my friend, that is not me, flying just for money, it's the flying that interests me and all the places ill go to
Experience really doesn't matter because 'seniority' is everything. Even if you have 3000 flight hours, you still start at 4.50 dollars/hour and Roger Cohen endorses it. Now its not the same issue in other countries: in most other countries like India, pilots get paid handsomely from the start. I should have said 'Being a pilot in AMERICA is not worth it anymore'.

DUDE.... WTF is this? Ok who told me youtube videos had stun guns!? YOU. So first you bombard my eyes with images causing a small headache, then when I TRY to ignore the pictures and look at the writing, I am bombarded with small hints of racism. Are you trying to say US pilots are the best? No... In my life I have flown 32 times and most flights in the US end with rough landings. I mean I don't HATE your video but I hate the strobes and Racism which seems to be purposefully intended. 2/5 rating

Oh & by the way from studying Music I just want 2 share w/ u that Carly must have been influenced by 20th Century Classical Composers such as Felix Mendellsohn, Chopin, Bartok, & Maybe some Brahms. I've played some pieces from the 1st 3 Composers & unfortunately didn't have the opportunity to play Brahms. I'm used to the airplanes goin' over my house since I was a kid (never paid attention 2 them) & now that I know where I'm gonna live hearing/seeing these planes has helped as a Motivation 2 remind me of movin' 2 Austin (despite this Eco.). I'm responding 2 u b/c of the Music u chose. Piano is my Main Instru. (I'm 39 & been playing since age 5) & never seen a pilot w/ earthiness (no pun) showing their likeness. I'm flattered that u Appreciate CLASSICAL Music. MUSIC is Really a UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE!

Hi Beaglepilot! I was surfing about Airplanes the Pilots behind the scenes. I live on a Flight path w/ a major airport just mins. away. I'm basically a musician who's endeavor is to MOVE to AUSTIN, TX. I've flown to Ariz., Calif., St. Louis, Illinois, Nashville (just recently) & Austin, TX (just recently). I checked out what the Music scene is in TN & TX 2 see where I could live life musically. It hasn't been musically fun here in NY so each time I see/hear a plane it represents this goal.

I'm sorry but I have to disagree the video is done very well, the pace of the slideshow emphasizes the urgency and sheer volume of flights being operated by pilots as well as set the mood for the business of general aviation and how critical the actions of airmen are.

I'm sorry - I appreciate the message, but this video is very poorly done. The constant strobing of different images every second makes this painful to watch after only a minute or two. If you wanted to go for maximum dramatic effect, you should have tossed about 2/3 of the pictures and kept the best ones, just stayed on them longer for 1 second! Let the viewer adjust and reflect on the image instead of freaking them out by bombarding their senses every second.

It is amazing to see how safe US airlines are comparing to the rest of the World. If you take numbers of carried passengers and the proportional amount of accidents. If you take most other countrys level of safety and proportionally bring it to US, the airplanes will be crashing almost every week!!

How about the feeling of "accuracy, precision and reliability" of the flight instruments? When you see the pointer and the meter display on the flight insturment, you can feel that a sense of accuracy, precision and reliability from the "frontier technology".

Well, I once went up there in a C-152 when I was 10 years old , although I have been on a 757 numerous of times, and ever since my eyes and head have been looking to the sky searching for aircrafts and as I hear them I always look outside the window just to see it. My dream will never die, my passion for flying will never die, the thrill I get will never die, Aviation is stuck in my blood and will never leave, not even when the day that we all hope never comes, comes.

I can honestly tell you a career as a pilot is NOT worth it anymore. It is modern day slavery with fast food job wages and far more hours than a fast food job (in other words, you are getting 4 dollars/hour).
I am a private pilot but I will only fly for self/pleasure, never for the airlines - you can get so many more other jobs with far higher and better wages/salaries.

Experience really doesn't matter because 'seniority' is everything. Even if you have 3000 flight hours, you still start at 4.50 dollars/hour and Roger Cohen endorses it. Now its not the same issue in other countries: in most other countries like India, pilots get paid handsomely from the start. I should have said 'Being a pilot in AMERICA is not worth it anymore'.

not only are pilots in the US...there are a lot of other countries involved in aviation. That video would be OK if it only appeared american aircraft...but apearing planes from Lufthansa, russian planes, planes from austrian airlines, spanish planes from Iberia...JUST dont think in US pilots, think in all the others pilots in all around the world, i'm one of those and i just dont understand those sentences...say pilots all around the world.
