Did this trek when I was 14. Can't remember too much, that was nearly 20 years ago but gonna give it another crack next year. Thanks for the inspiration

its pretty hard...especially the devils staircase. but sprinting down the scree slope is fun. i did it a few days ago, you should give it a go :)

very cool video in perhabs 2 years i´m gonna back to NZ with some friends than i will make the crossing for the 4 time :) i hate to go back down, but the way to the top and the lakes is beautiful

Been in new zealand for 3 months and it was the best time ever , realy got adicted to the country , going back in about 3 years from now. We love to do the tongariro crossing again beautifullllllll.

That looks like it was excellent fun. Wish the weather had been good enough when we were there. We ended up doing the walk to upper and lower Tama lake instead which was amazing but not quite as wow.
