nobody worked with the jab tackle in 1943 mate (Liebalbu). Maybe you should look abit more closely at the modern game.
I am pretty confident that there are not going to be too many people that will argue with Knowlsey's success as a defender. Just take out of it what you want, some people are simply not going to be talented enough to tackle like he does
As a tackler you want to be stable and quick on your feet with small footsteps. I like the use of poke tackle to channel the attacker. I kinda disagree with you on the tackle on the left side of the goal. Once the defender pulls to left and lifts over your flat stick, you are left trying to catch up with the attacker? I think you should keep the deffender pinned to the endline (or side line) when tackling on left and be ready to pick up the ball on your left. Watch old game videos.
