I've worked with Tandy leather projects like this for years & I can see that you had fun with this. However, I do agree with a previous poster. You spent $42 on materials. I spent $30 on a case at B&N that is way nicer then the one you made. It is molded perfectly for my nook. If you are going to make a case yourself then take a blank piece of leather & construct it from scratch. It would have cost you only a few dollars in leather & would be a very simple & easy design. $42?? Why buy a kit??
@rob25910 The pre-stitched kit was only $12. The other $30 was for the dye, sealer, and tools. This was my first leather working project. So I had to buy everything, tools and all. Secondly the entire point of doing this was to create a custom case, as you can't buy a Doctor Who themed cover from B&N. And the cases you buy from B&N are sealed, so the leather they are made from can no longer be tooled or dyed.
Please watch your own video. Next time, please record it from the other side of your workspace; that way we will be able to see what you are doing rather than watching the back of your left hand & arm & wondering what is going on out of our sight.

I think comments are funnier and more interesting than the videos. LOL!

This is just my own opinion, but if it cost you roughly $37 all together, why not just pay for a case? Thats just a thought... :)

@DesignerzOnly
A) It's on par with the lower-end cost of Kindle/Nook covers mass-produced and off-the-shelf.
B) This is customizable to whatever you want.
@enoughsaidatl
You've got that right! =)
