Dude this is my jeep and your stupid for thinking that the LS1 would be cheaper or put out lots more power. The engine for mine was 600 and puts out stock 295hp and 320 tq the Ls1 puts out around 350 hp and 345 tq.

Yes it is...The 4.8, 5.3, 6.0, 6.2 and 7.0 are all LS series engines.

I unfortunatley don't have any yet b/c I haven't taken any. I didn't even take this one some guy at the track did. I'm in the process of fine tunning my turbo on this vechile along with the nitrous setup. Then I have to regear my front axle to match the ford 8.8 I put on the rear.

I got the motor for this jeep for $1600 used but it came with the trans motor and computer. Then I got the adapters from novak adapt. bc there stuff does'nt reguire new drive shafts. Luckily the guy who i bought the engine from put the special trans adapter shaft in the tranny for free. I get the power to the ground b/c i have a locker in the rear and 15X8 tires give all the stickyness you need to go.

This Is my jeep as my dad said so below. It had about 360hp at the time of this 1/8th mile run. I am currently working on a remote mount turbo install. I'm predicting 500hp at the engine and 400 or so at the rear wheels running of 8 pounds of boost. Your Jeep would have waaay more than 400hp at the rear wheels, if you turbo it. Especially if you ran 8 psi boost. You'd probably be looking at 475-500hp.

This is my sons Jeep. 5.3L vortec with 4.88 gears. He is now upgrading to a turbocharger and cam setup. Currently running 42# injectors with the turbo. He is using a 4L60E bolted to stock transfer case. He ran 9.2 in the 1/8th at this time. He is hoping to get into the 8's after the next mods. Thanks for posting this video. He really liked it.

It will, but that engine isn't "mild" and will tear the -15 up... I don't think I'd even run the 3550 behind it. Probably the 4500 for stick, 4l60e (or 700r4) for an auto. For your swap, move up to the 3550 or 4500.
