@Avataryoutuification quite a big boost in performance :) and an i5 is cheaper then a x6 processor... love the fact amd are cheaper tho as means more people can game on pc.. i recently built a amd x4 system for a friend and runs nice... I only got a i7 cus i do a lot of work in photoshop, after effects and alot of rendering... my old system was a AMD x4 as well but you do notice the difference.

Still, I'd prefer 6 physical cores as opposed to 4 and 4 hyper threads (virtual) although there is the 995 and 980x but they are like the £1000 range price.

Turns out that the phenom 6 1090T can preform better in games than most I7S and all i5s but fails in things like photoshop and what not.

Everybody think crysis have the best graphics, i think Metro 2033 play it on dx 11 and ultra high and you'll see better graphics, belive me, i play it on low and same graphics as crysis on ultra high :D

a core 2 duo will run it, If you don't do Photoshop work etc your be better with a i5.. or wait in 2010 amd have there 6cores out aswell as intell i9 or amd x2 / x3 / x4 but the i9 will cost a hell of a lot.

But corsair are brill psu's along with the onse you said.

Remember ant much difference with tri channel memory and dual channel.

asus M3A79-T DELUXE mobo it is a am2+ mobo and allows upto 4 graphics cards or 3 2 slot graphics cards.

my cpu is a quad core at 3.30ghz but if you want to build a slightly newer amd system then best to go with the i5 was will be a cheaper buy and better.

and a 1000w no as im going to add another 5850 and better sound card, plus i will have i5 or i7 soon or may wait for new amd or i9.

I didnt have 1600x900 so i did 1600x1200 and 1440x900 all on verry high and i got some nice frame rates, but aa don't really matter with ati cards and there dam good with it, I heard nvidia cards struggle with it. I'm uploading videos for you now the title of the videos will have your name in them as i like to do the videos to show that it can do it etc. But i will say that this card has shocked me it really is good and it's still on beta drivers.

I post these videos to show people what it can do, so they can make up there own minds if they want to get one or not, this is an amazing card I can max everything out like I wanted but you have to remember crysis is pity much a benchmarking tool and for people to go wow graphics.

It was also built on nvidia so ati does struggle a little but still runs all over the 280 and with crossfire beats 295, it has directx 11, and with a nvidia card u can use a hack so you have physics =)

if you had any idea whats going on inside the cryengine2 and had an eye for details you would realize that its the best at what it does. the only comparable game is stalker (fps in a big scale environment) and it performs a lot worse.
