u don't need to worry about it cause it comes with it's own software in the box. Nothing to worry about. the setup disc installs everything u need and syncs ur zune to the program. all songs in ur music folder atomatically goes to ur device. Easy and Cool. I love it. The pictures were more of a problem for me though. Not big though. U have to click and drag them. All done.
If by "similar" you mean, knocking off iPod aesthetics, right down to the round 4-way button (obviously intended to look like the iPod scroll wheel), then I would agree. But similar doesn't mean "the same", and it looks clunky and made out of cheap plastic. I want to compare one side by side w/ an iPod when they hit store shelves, but I still don't think I'll be impressed.

the layout it pretty good for a start.. can always get better. The only thing i'm not liking about the player is the buttons.. those could really use a change.. The 3 day 3 play thing is good enough.. it is a start, can always be changed, and helps you discover new music...

lol I don't even have an iPod, and I can still see that this feature is stupid. If I could wirelessly copy songs from my PC to the Zune, or wirelessly buy songs directly from the Zune store without the PC then this feature would be fantastic - but I can't and it's not. It's gimmicky crap.
I just bought one and i'm happy with it. the screen is huge. thats the reason i got it. Plus the radio that ipod doesn't have. When I bought it I honestly didn't even know about the wireless part. I was just comparing mp3 players at Walmart.
