You're absolutely right.... I use to do this ALL the time and my abs were always tight and firm! When I actually stop this practice, that is when I noticed more belly fat.
There is no secret. If you want a flat stomach - you have to eat a very lean lower fat diet. Diet is absolutely everything if you want a lean mid-section. And you have to be strict if you want to achieve a lean mid-section. No exercise will help if you are not extremely diligent about your diet.

OK, Ive been doing stomach crunches and another excercise that my friend showed me for around 4 days, I have been doing this aswell. I have already started to see results, I lost 3 pounds in 2 days! The best advice for weight and fat loss is do more than you eat. Eat smaller portions, snack less and do more. It works, I never thought it would!
Dude, I used to (and still do) this exercise every day in public. I can feel the muscles under all the fat, and I know that the muscles are crazy, but I cannot seem to get the fat off my body. I'm not sure if I'm an Endo, or just a Meso that put on a hell of a lot of fat (considering I have no trouble building muscle), but I juat cant get the fat away. great tip! i have been doing this for years. i also thought i was the one who developed this as i had never seen it anywhere amongst all the thousands of so called 6 pack abs programs and core workouts. it is not very convenient and comfortable doing it while sitting, laying down or other form of resting because we obviously tend to ret, but it is pretty easy and now it almost comes naturally for me while im walking, running, just standing or whatever form in which i am more active
I do this at work all of the time (I stand for about 6-to 12 hours depending on the shift) over a few months, my whole core had definitely strengthened even before I started working out.

I've been a certified trainer for about 11 years now so I figured I'd give some advice.

1) Cut out carbs in the evenings (eat low "GI" carbs throughout the day)
2) Choose exercises that burn the most calories (NOT sit ups and curls)
Ex. Squats, Lunges, Pull Ups etc.

you have amazing abs i do the same but flexing i dont know why i got used to it because i have abs when i flex but not when i dont flex so like automatic when i take of a shirt im flexing my abs or in summer when i got off the pool i would flex them like right away one question im 14 years old :P so i have all right abs check my video but um how much cardio do you do a week?
