not too bad!for the beginners i recommend knee pads, knees can be sore after a few short steps until you get used to it. keep feet together and toes bent, if not pain will remind you to bend your toes the first time you don't!

you might check out a local aikido or traditional japanese jujitsu, iado/kenjutsu school. They might be more picky on the form.

It or some variation of it is from Feudalistic Japanese culture. It spilled over into Iado sword systems and court Jujitsu. Samurai esque.

cool, i could see the usefulness. i think that i will integrate it into my kung fu to improve my anti-grappling counter offensive.
