  • What you need there is a Manor, not a skip!!

  • If its dragging a diesel thats not working whats the point. Without that The Duke would have been fine.

  • i dunno if this is true but i think steam charters have to have some form of backup coupled. especially when attempting these climbs. personally i would have had the 67 inbetween the duke and the rake of mk1s. i think pulling is better than pushing to some extent. loved the tonage from the voyager!

  • It means that the line climbs 1 Foot up for every 36 forward. I think it would work out in the US to about 2.7% or thereabouts.

  • the 67 driver acknowledged the request for a shove and gave it throttle, but the diesel's computer said "no" they had to shut it down & re-start it. Something to do with a safety cut out not allowing throttle while the 67 was in through-braking mode.

  • Those pop-whistles at 7:17 were the driver of the Duke requesting assistance from the 67...wtf was the diesel driver doing?

  • The diesel driver tried to assist but the 67 wouldn't take power - have heard since that this particular 67 has done this before. the engine just cuts out and has to be rebooting and restarted. Miracles of modern Technology!

  • This shows what really happened from a passengers view!
