@Bentindo No, the PlayStation sold more because it was literally the only "able" system around as failures like the 3DO and Jaguar were discontinued around the time, the Saturn was difficult to program and was eventually discontinued and the Nintendo 64 used cartridges which long story short had more disadvantages than CD.

The N64 was not a lot better. It probably is but not by a long shot. Only a fanboy would say that.

Yeah I grew up with n64, bought my third one a few months ago (sold 1st to get gamecube, sister screwed up 2nd one). Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Banjo Kazooie, Super Smash Bros, Megaman Legends...

I think that generation and under (for me that's Super Nintendo and N64, but I'm getting into others like Dreamcast and Genesis now) had more.. character than the newer games. Yeah, I like my Wii, but I think I like retro just a /little/ bit more. :)

While the n64 had some good games its really lost to the ps1. n64 launch had 3 games for almost 6 months it was crap while PS1 had alot of really good games.

N64 - Golden Eye, SM64, Perfect Dark and Smash Bros is all the system really had.

PS1 - Twisted Metal, FF7, Res Evil, Tomb Raider, Gran T, Had Better Sports Games, Tekken, The Ps1 had good games from everyone and the n64 had the same 4 games for the life of the consol

Both systems were cool. I always wanted an N64 but settled with the PS1 because of the Crash Bandicoot Games and Tekken. But N64 did have better "Adventure games".

The N64 is awesome and the same goes for the GCN.

The PS1 didn't have enough nostalgia at the time that made the console interesting and we didn't know what kind of games it was going to offer.

Nintendo dominated all through 1985 to 2004 until the PS1 and PS2 had a batchfull of games.

Because Nintendo have had such a great history in exclusive titles the N64 brought more revolutionary and epic games which most gamers around the world enjoyed.

I like the Nintendo 64 slightly more because of the release of Pokémon Stadium, Snap etc. And the fact that cartridges wont break really easily. But CD's will break really quick if you mistreat them.
