The St. Louis Riverfront is awesome! When the river is at it's normal depth, there is a road that runs north and south, just beyond the safety fence in the video. There is also parking all along the riverbank, and near where you buy your ticket and get on the Tom Sawyer Riverboat Cruise. That Riverboat cruise is awesome too!!
The Arch Grounds site boundaries are the actual entirety of the village of St. Louis at the time of its founding in 1764, built on a bluff to be above all but the worst river flooding. The stadium is four blocks west from there, and higher still, and that land has not been flooded in the city's history.
