i think its funny they show that the greatest problem is the abrahamic religions. you dont see a "Gods warriors" for buddhism (probably because its non theistic) or taoism or confucianism eastern tradition stays true to their message of peace. hinduism has done some wars but for the most part isnt on the scale of violence or feeling of superiority like abrahamic religions.

Carter is and was all talk, no action. The decline of USA can be traced to the removal of prayer from school, Roe vs. Wade, and so on and so on. This country was founded by Christians with Christian laws. Abortion is murder, plain and simple, and Carter can't be a true Christian if he thinks different. "jim" should stick to planting peanuts, and accept that he's no longer the president, then maybe he'll STFU.

The founders were mostly deists. Only 2 of the 10 commandments are seen in US law. Doesn't sound christian to me (not to mention a little thing called the first amendment). What the hell makes you think that you have any more right to tell him he is wrong than he has to tell you the same? You don't. Maybe if you accept that you are not omniscient you will STFU. By the way....Roe v Wade is about individual privacy (aka, freedom *cough* *cough*), not just abortion.

I saw this on TV the other night and was shocked by the role Jerry Falwell has played in our national history. Those of us under 30 yrs old may think he was just some crazy Pastor who declared the Teletubbies promote homosexuality... I had no idea that he was behind creating and growing the Christian right wing movement since before I was even born. Now that he's passed on, he has entrusted the task to his followers and they continue on to this day. Scary how one person can shape history.
