  • Mrs. Cuzick you are simply amazing! I just completed my first ceramic class and the glazing tech u just showed i will try next semester thank you so much for being kind hearted to show your process. god bless. =D

  • @wcbombers21 Thank you! good luck with your potting.

  • You work is gorgeous. I love how you have such a distinct style. Especially in your carvings. Your glazing technique with the bright (often red) center is so eye-catching! Amazing pieces (:

  • I used some water color to paint a couple of things... but they are missing the shine... cud u let me know how to make them water proof and glazy?

  • @SnehMaria Of course you need to put glaze, not water color, on the pot and then fire it in a kiln to a very hot temperature, we fire to cone 10 or about 2380 degrees F. The intense heat melts the glaze into a glass and gives the "glazy" look and makes the pot water proof. Thanks for your interest in our work.

  • @DCuzick yeah I know.. thanks for enlightening me... but basiclly I don't know how I'm suppose to Glaze it.. neither know what to be used... do you have any vidoesz or any thing..which can teach an interested dumbo like me to learn glazing PLEASE......

  • Love!

  • You have done some beutiful work--I'm the grandson of a potter--he threw pots and grandmother did designs on work with slip--she also made sculptures of owls and other stuff

  • nice..

  • I am enjoying the shots of your pottery from the computer of my family, George & Boel Stoddard, from here in Wilsonville, Oregon while visiting from Del Mar California!

    Warm regards,

    Barbara Stoddard

  • It would be nice to know some of the glazes your using are they commercial or do you mix them yourself

  • This is my first time coming across you on youtube, I really enjoy your wife's work and it must take much patients and time to get such a beautiful outcome.

  • que trabajos más bonitos, gracias por mostrarlos.

  • Well done, very nice stuff. Keep it up :)

  • your work is beautiful but the video quality is so poor it doesn't translate well.

  • I know that was a very sunny day and the video was not good. Some of the others are ok though, I think, taken inside.

  • Beautiful work. Ive been throwing for 4 years now and hope to get as good as you =D

  • Thank you so much...what an inspiration you two are to a new and aspiring potter. How beautiful....I wish I could see it and touch it....Thanks again

  • very good you two make some nice! very nice stuff.I would like for you to talk about the price sometime, give us some idea, what the piece we are looking at you might be asking for.Its all good and Thank you for sharing with us.

  • very nice I like seeing potters who are prolific and productive, you only master the craft by practising it a lot and often

  • David, as a cinematographer, you make a great potter! :-)

  • I know, this video leaves a lot to be desired from the standpoint of cinematography , especially when we are outside. It was too bright and too much movement. I am still learning. I have been doing these for only four or five months.

  • Wasn't meant to be critical. You guys are amazing! Just a little poke in the ribs.. :-)

  • Mary, I think you really need to post some clips on your absolutely amazing glazing techniques. I am SO impressed.

  • Wonderful Glazes Mary! You two make a good team :)

  • great work Mary !!!

  • Thanks for the kind words. I love making pots and my husband David is my greatest inspiration.

  • Thank you for sharing this! Your glazes look fantastic!

  • Mary! Your work is so beautiful. If I was there I would be in such trouble, because I would buy everything. The decorative attention to your pottery turns every piece into an amazing work of art. The glaze is sooo awesome. You are truely a gifted Artist. Thanks so much for sharing your work with us. BTW I hope you did great with your sale :)

  • Very nice work Mary and David. Great explanations of the processes you use.

A request - Would you consider doing a video on pricing.

  • Pricing is a tough one because there are so many variables. Prices depend on where you live, and the people buying your pots, the type of pots you make, how much time you spend on a piece, how the piece looks after it is completed etc. Mary may charge $40 for a cup, I charge about $18; mine are generally less decorated, less time involved. I end up making more money because I sell more pieces. Make the best work you can and look at what comparable work in your area brings. Good question!

  • That work so wonderful and so fantastic woman.

    Regards.

  • What kind of sale is it? Do you put things outside the show room and people drive by or is it many potters together selling their wares? I've never heard of a pottery sale/show where I'm from and just wondered how you did it in your neck of the woods :)

  • It is a show of our work and the work of several other potters. We have a large mailing list that we have developed over a period of years. The people come to our studio on the show days, and buy the work.

  • I have several of her pieces, amazing woman, artist, and friend.

  • What an amazing, beautiful display! Best wishes for a great sale!

  • I totally love the way you decorate your peices I can't wait to try some day;-D Carving and slip trailing are very cool together. Thanks so much for sharing I'll be watching ;-D Karen in CT

  • Mary is an amazing glazer! I am inspired and can't wait to hit the studio. those pieces looked like lthey had a lustre on them.

  • You are a remarkable couple. Both of you have a style all your own. Please keep posting. Claire

  • Your pieces look lovely , Good luck in selling
